We had the river spot which was beautiful. It felt like you were at your own secluded spot. The dog loved it. She got to run around off leash and had the best time, Lestia is a great host and Wilma her dog came to visit a couple of times. The views of the mountains were spectacular. Lestia called the one peak God’s throne because it looked like the throne where you would see God sitting although the name of the peak is something different. Bigger rigs may have trouble turning around. Our rig is 29 feet but we were able to move some logs turn around and then replace the logs. Other than the 10 inches of snow that fell overnight on the day we had to leave the stay was nice and relaxing. The secluded spot was peaceful and serene. We would book this site again.

Please stay here! Our stay with Lestia was something we won’t soon forget! First, the views are breathtaking! There’s really no describing them. Lestia is sweet, generous and welcoming! There’s access to a river that we had absolutely no luck fishing in, but that seems to be only due to our own imabilities. She had beautiful horses that my kids loved to feed (maybe bring some carrots or apples!) we saw a moose our last morning in the meadow. I could go on forever! Please stay here, you won’t regret it!

We enjoyed our stay here. We came from Boise, towing our 25 ft camper, and decided to take the longer route through Mckay, Just to be safe! It was a nice drive. Smooth roads. Once arrived we were greeting by the host who was so sweet and enjoyed conversing with her. The views from the property are outstanding. We stayed in the full hook up spot, closer to the road and the hosts house. The other site is closer to the river, more private. If we come back we’d definitely stay at the other spot! We were able to walk down to the river to fish and pretty sure we heard a moose stomp away into the bushes. Mosquitos are picking up so plan accordingly for that. We drove into Sun Valley up and over the steep mountain summit. It was easy in a pickup. We ended up towing the camper back home that direction and made it just fine. I recommend driving over the pass without towing a rig first, just to make sure you are comfortable with it! We fell in love with this area and are so happy we found it! Highly recommend.

This place was TRULY beautiful and so peaceful. The hostess was the sweetest person on earth. Lestia was so helpful and accommodating. I told her she is going to be so disappointed after she dies and goes to heaven because God can't top her place he already made. Stunning mountain views, nature walking right through your camp site, and a very short walk to the rivers edge for amazing private trout fishing. I caught one that broke my 8 lb. test line. We had a moose and her baby walk through and deer. There was nobody else near us so it was very peaceful all day and night. We enjoyed her horses too. It is an incredible site to stay at for sure. Only downside are there are mosquitoes and that's expected at any river campsite.

On a clear night, its rosy glow is the only thing you will see just before darkness. In the early morning be on the lookout for the resident moose and her calf (Watch, but don't approach!!) or any of the many deer that ramble by. Then drop a fishing line into the river, just a few steps away, and catch yourself a trout or two for your breakfast. After breakfast, get out your binoculars, cameras, and maps (you did bring them, didn't you?) and choose your day's adventure, whether it be a challenging hike up a mountain trail, a leisurely stroll to a delightful waterfall, a 20-mile trip to world-famous Sun Valley via the stunning Trail Creek Summit, or exploring the largest wilderness in the lower 48 states. which is just on the other side of the fence! The road you enter the property from will also get you 20 miles deep into that wilderness along a broad river valley where you may see elk, moose, wolves, coyotes, foxes, beavers, deer, antelope, mountain goats, big horn sheep, black bears, and much more all thriving in natural abundance. Cougars (also called Mountain Lions) are absent in this area, fortunately, but may be observed in narrow, steep-sided canyons in other drainages nearby, if you dare.o

Welcome to Brasil Beef high desert pasture 🏜️ 🌵 Our property is 4 miles from BLM, 5 miles from the Mammoth caves and 10 miles from the Ice Caves. You may be greeted by horses, cattle or dogs on our property, and it's quite possible that you will encounter snakes 🐍 and hear coyotes at night (light sleepers take this into account). We do not have designated areas, please park wherever you desire, walk your route as this virgin ground has many rocks. 🪨 If leveling is an issue & you need to block the road, let’s verify we have no other campers coming. There is a runoff river that runs through the property in the early spring but, rarely has water, however, it has amazing lava rock (similar to Black Magic Canyon which isn’t far away); We also like to use it for campfires! Do not drive into the river bottom unless you have 4WD. Please reach out with questions and we look forward to your visit! Check out all of our extras! We raise Wagyu beef, make sourdough bread, have dozens of eggs on hand from a local chicken farmer and I make tallow lotion!
