Antelope Canyon Ranch

The Ranch has many varied sites to explore from oak woodlands to pine covered woods. 

The ownership of the land has been held since 1883 by the Summit Lime Company and was until the 1930's the site of several lime quarries one of which was used to supply material for the Owens valley to Los Angeles aquaduct.

Current utilization is for recreation, private hunting club, timber production, and cattle grazing.

The campground was built in 1967 to provide a location for church, non-profit, and youth groups to enjoy a private, and safe location for outdoor recreation activities.

Camping is restricted to family and group activities. The campground has 17 sites a comfort station, water hook-ups, fire ring, and 4X8 foot stone BAR-B-Que.

In order to provide a private experience no two groups are scheduled at the same time.

An ideal group size is 15 to 150 persons.

Our family passion is endurance horse riding- for people which do not know what this means; it is a marathon race on a horse. For this kind of extreme sport, a already very fit and athletic horse needs to be prepared for riding in a rugged terrain at a faster pace to complete the race healthy and sound. Also the rider needs to be fit. I purchased this special location so i can condition my horses to perform at a best out there, in a tough and rugged race world of endurance.  The left alone wilderness in the foothills and mountains housing some excellent training grounds, to get ready for some challenging races in the Western United States! This property location offers simply the much needed training challenges in all together, without ever to haul out, to train horses and riders for the confrontation of an terrain obstacle away from the ranch. In fact we have other riders coming in to train on the ranch!Our rides which we are offering are not dude ranch rides, or which would be to us boring cowboy rides, we trekking mostly in English style saddles, since riding is to us an athletic sport on an fit, muscle packed athlete.So the real equestrian enthusiast will not only find a grand ride in a fascinating Wild West nature, but also encounters a learning opportunity about equestrians.For our guests which are not into the world of equestrians, but still love the beautiful world of horses and want to meet a variety of breeds, we are offering happily a guided tour of the ranch, and inviting you to feed our drafts some  carrots.Fascinating for many of our guests are our American Mustang horses. We even have some wild ones right here at the ranch. Additionally we love ATVing; our surrounding off road terrain trail spoil our guests with panoramic scenery, while driving with sometimes challenges. For this adventure we have some few trail heads which takes off right here from our ranch.Another important drawing card for us is the epic, world famous Pacific Crest Trail-which runs right in our backyard.  If you looking to unwind in a peaceful, remote, wilderness world, for some hours off the day, or the whole day and need to head back to a cozy and comfy staying accommodation for the night, this ranch is a great approach to begin this journey!For people which interested in geological science, we can offer a walk through the San Andreas Fault line, which runs right across the ranch.

I love that we have so much pristine desert right here in LA County.  It’s a true treasure. Many of my fellow Angelenos don’t realize that you don’t have to drive far to get the full desert experience.Learn more about this land:This huge 40 acre property has the best of both worlds, as you'll feel away from it all while still being relatively close to civilization.   The property is completely undeveloped (no houses, structures, etc.) and is in its pure natural state.  Pitch your tent anywhere on this pristine piece of the Mojave Desert and you will be connected with nature.  A wash runs through the property, so water for trees is not too far below ground and this property is one of the few in the Antelope Valley to have shade trees. The north edge of the property is bordered by Palmdale Blvd, making the property easily accessible.  Palmdale Blvd is also where you’ll want to park unless your vehicle can drive on sand.  And if you forgot anything or want to go shopping or dining, just hop in your car and you’re only 10 minutes from the heart of the City of Palmdale, with every modern comfort. The smaller town of Lake Los Angeles is even closer, offering groceries and restaurants with a small town feel.

We are a small farm in the desert with great views and breathtaking sunsets. We Now will be offering music events once a month with a  full tiki bar and gourmets tacos by our camp chef. Joshua Tree Ranch Los Angeles

This valley was inhabited by the Kitanemuk tribe for thousands of years. They would live here in the winter, and spend the summers hunting and gathering pine nuts and acorns up in the Tehachapi and San Gabriel mountains. This region is called the Antelope Valley because there used to be antelope-looking creatures called pronghorns.My first trip out here was to watch the Blood Wolf Moon lunar eclipse of 2019. It didn't disappoint! This is the spot to come look at the stars, howl at the moon, eat jerky, draw weird cactus trees in your sketch book, whatever!Learn more about this land:Joshua trees 50 miles closer to LA than the Joshua Tree National Park!This is 2.5 acres of protected Joshua Tree lands in the Antelope Valley north of LA, between the snowy Tehachapi Mountains and the San Gabriel Mountains. My first time out there I saw BOTH ENDS of a rainbow in front of the snowy Tehachapis!! Super dark skies, and a million stars at night. You'll probably see the Milky Way! It does get breezy at night, so dress appropriately.It feels like the wild west out here, and that's the main appeal--no rules, nobody watching. Think long dirt roads, tumbleweeds, bones, and maybe some old bullet shells (there's no shooting allowed on the property anymore). This is not a state-maintained, paved, manicured operation--it's the edge of the desert wilderness. Please respect the property and clean up after yourself!This is for people who are comfortable exploring beyond a concrete slab with electricity and janitor-cleaned restrooms. There are no designated sites, so pick whatever looks good to you. We often have multiple parties at once, so feel free to spread out.This land used to be the domain of the Ketanemuk tribe, which I think means People From The East. In the summer they would go up and hunt and get pine nuts in the Tehachapi Mountains, and acorns from the oak trees in the San Gabriels.The property itself is along a dirt road called Avenue C. It's about a 20 minute drive from the town of Neenach (pronounced Nee-nack), where there's a general store and a cafe. They make a great breakfast burrito. It's also a few minutes from the State Poppy Reserve, which blooms in the spring with miles of California poppies.If you have a larger group or event in mind, get in touch!
