Welcome to Grassy Road Cabins & Camping, a peaceful 23-acre getaway in the heart of the Ozarks. Our property blends rolling pasture, patches of forest, and a beautiful recreational fishing pond—perfect for morning coffee, quiet walks, and unforgettable sunsets. We’re ideally located between two popular Buffalo National River access points, South Maumee and Spring Creek, giving you fast, easy access to some of the best floating and hiking in Arkansas.
Choose from three cozy tiny-house cabins, 3 electric tent sites, 3 primitive tent sites, and 9 full-hookup RV sites with 20/30/50 amp, water, and sewer. Two of our RV sites are big-rig friendly pull-throughs ideal for Class A motorhomes. All guests have access to our clean two-unit bathhouse with hot showers, treehouse play area, trails, fishing pond, and our new hillside group fire pit for evening gatherings under dark, starry skies.
Check-in is simple and self-guided, making arrivals easy at any time. Firewood is available for purchase, and kayaks and life jackets may be borrowed—just message us first and return them in good condition.
We encourage guests to explore the property’s trails, enjoy catch-and-release fishing, or head to the river for paddling and swimming. The Buffalo River Trail crosses South Maumee Road and leads to stunning bluffs and seasonal waterfalls. With an Arkansas fishing license, you can fish both on-site and in the Buffalo.
Nearby towns Marshall and Leslie offer great local restaurants like Skylark Café and Red River Café. Blanchard Springs Caverns, only 30 miles away, makes for an incredible day trip.
Dog Policy: We are dog friendly for RVs and cabins, but dogs must remain leashed and owners must clean up after them. Please note that tent campers should only bring experienced outdoor dogs—many indoor-only pets bark all night due to wildlife sounds, which disturbs the entire campground.

Water and electricity are located at each site! Just minutes away you have boat access to the Arkansas River at Sweeden Island Park AND Lake Atkins through the Lucky Landing launch site. This site is a sportsman's paradise as it is also conveniently located to the Galla Creek Wildlife Management Area, also just minutes away. We had an absolute blast! The campsite was very nice with a great view of the river and mountains in the back. The hosts leave plenty of firewood out so no need to go searching for some. Our host made sure we had everything we needed and made sure we knew he was there if we needed help with anything. Highly recommend!!!

Johnny was a very responsive host and I Absolutely loved this spot!! It was so peaceful and has such a great view. It’s nice having steps to get down to the water too. I found myself thinking, if I owned this land I’d want to build a house here! So glad the owner is instead sharing the spot for others to enjoy too :)

We loved this place. In our top 3 of campsites that we have ever visited. Loved the privacy, lot size, large firepit, being on the river, and so much firewood to use. We seen bald eagles, turtles, a owl, 2 fox, and so many different kinds of water birds along with many just general birds. I guarantee we will come back.

This property is so well maintained and very well thought out. The owners are wonderful people. They are always working on and improving their property. A lot of thought, heart and hard řwork have gone into this campground. It provides camping experiences of just about every genre. From isolated tent camping, glamp tent camping, tiny home, cabins, and small RV area. All complete with a bathhouse, pond, meadows to run through and treehouse for the young at heart. So close to the Buffalo River… Its a nice place to be…. The sky’s are also amazing!

Beautiful campsites. We ended up getting switched to #1 which was great. All of the sites were in great shape, #1 definitely had the best view of the river. Very quiet and safe. We used it as a base camp for riding motorcycles. Would stay here again!

The host was super nice, As me & fiance were arriving late, I called her bc we had trouble finding the campsite & she stayed on the phone with us in the middle of the night for like 10 min to make sure we made it okay. The land was secluded so nobody else but us and it was a nice part of the Arkansas River we never knew existed...nice place for bank fishing (just make sure to not get hung up on all the rocks)!

The campground was nice and clean. It had easy access on and off the main road. The serenity of the place was the best part. Overall, it was a nice place and the owners could not have been any more friendlier. We will definitely stay there again in the future. Key Note: Verizon cell service works ok, but goes in and out. I believe there is a tower across the street but its an At&T tower.

This is a gem of a find! The RV slips are level, have a nice fire ring, and table. The hook ups are in good condition and the boathouse always has hot water and fairly good water pressure. The field meadow is full of lightning bugs at night and creates a nice morning view. There is a small cabin and glamping tent available to rent as well as primitive and electrical tent sites. The pasture view is beautiful. It was super quiet, even with 2 cabins rented and 3 RVs in the park. This park might be difficult to access in a large RV (out trailer is 32') as the area to back in and make turns is limited. Easy to get to. Will reserve again!
