We are a small non-profit farm offering fresh produce and nature based experiences. We are open to the public Spring-Fall for Farm Explorations. Visitors have a chance to explore the farm and gardens with a self guided walking tour, and attend our seasonal events and workshops. Book private farm tour experiences such as hayrides, and animal interactions, or simply wander the farm at your leisure. We have some free ranging chickens, and cats, so for the safety of our farm animals and pets, any visiting pets must remain in the parking area and may not free roam. The lake has good fishing and there is a trail or stairs to lake.. The view of the lake and mountains is always a pleasure. The sunsets are great. Also has a shared rest room. Exquisitely beautiful area formed by melting glaciers forming the "Alta Coulee". The campground is situated at the South end of Alta Lake, owned and operated by my grandparents in 1946 until my father took over in 1980 adding commercial Outfitting and Guide services by Sawtooth Outfitters. Covid put a halt on business for a few years, but we have once again opened the gates and are conducting business similar to those of the "Good Ol' Days"! With each new season brings a new opportunity and a small improvement project to continue paving the way into the future of Whistlin' Pine! The lake is 220 acres known to Anglers near and far. Plenty of room for the sunseekers wanting to play in the water on paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, and water skiing. An 18-hole Golf Course resides at the North end of the lake and white water rafting just a few miles down the hill on the Methow River. For the foodies, Chelan is just 30 miles south and Twisp/Winthrop is 40 miles to the North, also abundant with events, wineries, and shopping. Forty acres of private, off-grid homestead at 3,600 ft elevation in the Tunk Valley, just outside Riverside in the heart of Okanogan County. A working homestead with bees and a garden — not a manicured campground, but the real thing. The property sits in one of the darkest sky corridors in Washington State. On clear nights you'll see the Milky Way horizon to horizon, and aurora borealis sightings are common in season. Bring a camera. The landscape is rolling hills, pine, tamarack, and fir forests, and wide-open field with long views across the valley.
