Fort Pillow was built by confederate troops in 1861.

The steep bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River made the fort a strategic location. A beautiful park overlooking the majestic river is also good strategy, as is visiting the park on a warm summer day to bone up on your Civil War History. Tours of the fort are offered daily, and there’s a museum onsite with artifacts and other cool stuff. The campground is rustic, enabling you to head back to the 1860s with relative ease. With flushing toilets and potable drinking water, you’re already faring better than those that walked before you.

Beautiful 200 sqft tiny home on 1 acre of land. Small lake in rear, fishing is allowed. You will see deer, bunny rabbits, turtles ect. Its in a cul-de-sac and only 1 very quiet neighbor. Feels like the country but Walmart and a laundry mat are only 5 minutes away. 30 and 50 amp plugs available for 1 rv, sewer, water and wifi all included. The tiny home is $85 a night, the rv/camping spot is $45 a night. 😀

Learn more about this land: There are a lot of soft people in the world today, if you're one of those people this isn't the place for you. In the spring and summer the property can become quite overgrown. Some people have had difficulty accessing the inner part of the property that is pretty well cleared and secluded. I happen to like it that way. A quarter acre, just a stone's throw from Graceland. The property itself doesn't provide much more than a place to park, but you can literally walk to Graceland and Beale Street is only about a 15 minute drive or Uber ride. My friend has parked his 5 window skoolie with a 15 foot utility trailer without any issues. There's no access to the shipping container on the property, but you're welcome to set out a few chairs and bbq on the back side of the property as long as you're careful about fires. There are no fire rings, toilets, or running water; and certainly no power. You're welcome to park or tent camp but understand that this property is very primitive. Located near the Mighty Mississippi River. Great views at various spots throughout the park. The Park has a museum, that is well worth the visit. If camping, RV or tent pack in some food and drinks. Nearest Walmart is in Ripley TN, few miles away.
