For families with young children, the yard offers a safe and private play area, with a kiddie pool available upon request. The neighboring home is vacant 98% of the year, offering you a truly peaceful getaway. The RV Site & Utilities Dimensions: The RV lot is 70 ft long by 25 ft wide (18 ft for parking and 7 ft for hookups), plus an extra 30 ft in length, including the 20 ft x 20 ft yard. Parking: There is ample space for an RV or trailer, plus room for ATVs or an extra vehicle. Hookups: Water, sewer dump access, and electricity are ready to connect, with 30-amp and standard outlets available. Guidelines: A macerator is required before dumping sewage. Water is for on-site use only; please do not fill your water tanks. Your Private Yard & Nature Relax in your 20 ft x 20 ft private yard, which faces west for stunning White Mountain sunsets. The space is beautifully landscaped with new gardens, flowers, and herbs designed to attract birds, bees, butterflies, and especially our delightful hummingbirds. Depending on the season, you can enjoy fresh raspberries, blackberries, and apples right from the yard! A kiddie pool or sprinkler is available for use in the yard upon request. Below the yard is an empty lot owned by a local resident. He grew up playing in the area, and locals sometimes enjoy the irrigation ditch during May and June. Deer and elk also pass through the area. You may enjoy the lot at your own risk. Location & Extras Local Attractions: You are just minutes from town amenities, Flattop Mountain, Round Mountain, and Water Canyon Road, which leads toward Saffel Canyon and Alpine, AZ. Pet Policy: Well-behaved dogs are welcome! We just ask that they remain supervised and leashed while outside on the property. A waste receptacle will be provided, and baggies are available upon request. Your Host: I live on-site in the adjacent home. I’m happy to offer guidance on local attractions, or I can give you complete privacy during your stay.

This is a drycamping venue that has gravel roads leading up to the venue. Fresh well water can be provided for small groups without a fee but guests will need to provide their own containers to use during their stay. The campground has a fairgrounds across the road that is not part of registration access through this site. Please contact us directly for booking options for the fairgrounds and please make sure to only access the property pinned in the location provided to you through this site. This property was obtained around 60+ years ago via the Homestead Act by a family who we have become very close friends with. Over the last 60 years it's only been used sparingly as grazing land for cattle. Since we've obtained the land we've been focused on learning it's history from those who have been here the longest while also being proud BIPOC owners of land in this area. We've also connected with the original people's of this land who were here during the time the land was colonized. We've found ceremonial and everyday pottery, crystals, and underground caves throughout the surrounding properties which we own. Over the last 2 years we've learned about the Redwoods that have been wiped out of the area and that the mountain is eroding quickly. It has become our mission to plant indigenous plants and trees that are extinct from the area, reviving the plant like, reviving the mountain and doing what we can to encourage the water table to rise! Our plans for the 12 acres the campground occupies is to add an outdoor shower that can be used all year, installing solar powered water heaters & bathrooms as well as establishing a community meeting space and a greenhouse where we can host gardening classes and provide fresh fruits and veggies in this food desert! This land is sacred and we intend to continue treating it as such!

Welcome to Van Haven! A van-life friendly oasis to rest and recharge. Bring your own campervan or tent - or use ours! We are former van dwellers now off-grid homesteading on 30 acres. Ten minutes of single-lane washboard dirt roads lead you to our property at 7600 feet overlooking the mountain valley. We offer 3 kinds of gigantic secluded pristine sites: A tiny glamping shuttle bus cabin, A few car/suv/campervan spots, & several remote hike/bike in dispersed camping options. We only list 3 sites, but have half a dozen more if you want to pick your own spot. With any choice, you can enjoy a network of bike / waking trails in untouched mature forest, several unique mountain vistas, outdoor shower and toilet, extra optional amenities, active wildlife, and unmatched peacefulness and quiet. We have tools, power, and know-how for rig build / upgrades. We have water to ration as well as firewood. Your van, small camper, shuttle bus or SUV are welcome here. Our home is only slightly visible from 2 sites and not at all from the others so you can choose how secluded you'd like to be. We can be social hosts, or leave you completely undisturbed as if on your own property. Quiet hours after 9pm either way. Access to Toilet, outdoor heated shower, small gas burner or wood-fired grill are included with any confirmed reservation. Pets are welcomed here but should not roam without supervision because we do have coyotes and pets can get lost.

Breathe in the fresh air at 7200 feet elevation, visit the contenintal divide and the historic Pie Town which is only 12 miles away. Many exciting places to visit Santa Fe is a 3 hour drive and Silver City is about 2.5 hours away. The Cibola and Gila national forest surround this property. This is a central place to stay yet feels very rural and serene. This property features a fully fenced 19 acres with rolling terrain surround by cedar, juniper and piñon pine trees.  It is approx 3 miles of gravel and dirt roads heading north off of HWY 60 so if riding a bicycle a low vehicle or riding a motorcycle be aware that there are sometimes washboards and during monsoon season roads do get muddy. There is magnificent south facing views where you can see for miles and at night the stars seem to touch the ground. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular with an array of colors that will take a persons breath away. This is a place to unwind from the busy hustle and bustle. You can listen to coyotes howling, owls hooting, and other birds and animals instead of city noise.  We own horses and can even take you on a trail ride.

At 26 miles away and at an elevation of 6,000 feet, Lyman Lake State Park is one of the best ways to beat the Arizona heat with summer days hovering in the 80’s and 1,500 acres of water to jump into. The behemoth lake can be experienced along shoreline trails where petroglyphs grace the rocks and jackrabbits scurry through the wildflowers. But let’s be real, you came to get wet! There’s plenty of splish splashing to be had; jet skis, speed boats, canoes, and kayakers all share these waters. There’s no better way to take to the lake than skimming the surface on an innertube. Anglers can enjoy the quiet west end of Lyman, word is the walleye and bass hang here in the no wake zone. 44 miles away you have Gila National Forest. Trying to truly get away from it all? We are 3.3 million acres of national forest, with just over 700,000 acres of that being designated wilderness areas. The nearest town, Silver City, has a population of about 10,000. Gila's remoteness makes it an especially popular spot for stargazing. Amateur astronomers like to journey out to Gila's 3.5-acre Cosmic Campground. This Dark Sky Sanctuary features unobstructed, awe-inspiring 360-degree views of the heavens. There are minimal amenities here, but they include telescope pads – made of concrete so that you can setup your own telescopes for casual or focused study. You'll never think of space in quite the same way after seeing it from here! Pets are allowed. Please make sure you pick up after them. ON leash, please.

Lobo Lodge is located in the Gila National Forest of New Mexico at a cool 8,000-foot elevation on the historic N Bar Ranch, nestled in a secluded mountain valley. This cabin is the perfect base for hikers, bikers, photographers, wildlife lovers, birders, wolf watchers, Jeep enthusiasts, and anyone who loves wild places and things. We are among the most remote locations in the lower 48 states accessible by vehicle. The cabin offers a front-row seat to one of the greatest wildlife success stories in North America. We are Ground Zero for the Mexican gray wolf (lobo) reintroduction. It's almost guaranteed that you'll hear wolves howling alongside yipping coyotes in the evenings and early mornings. Sightings in the meadow are very common. Other wildlife includes pronghorn antelope, mule deer, foxes, badgers, bears, mountain lions, and all kinds of other critters. The valley is a birder's delight! The porch overlooking the meadow is the perfect place to observe wildlife. Throughout the day, you can be entertained by our two resident pairs of red-tailed hawks, along with more than 300 other bird species. For cyclists, some of the best gravel riding in the world begins right outside the front gate. The NMBDR (New Mexico Backcountry Discovery Route) runs directly past the property. For off-road adventurers, there are literally thousands of miles of two-track roads to explore. Hikers will appreciate our proximity to the CDT (Continental Divide Trail) and easy access to the three northern trailheads leading into the Gila Wilderness, the world's first designated wilderness area. For stargazers, it doesn't get much better. We are located in a Bortle 1 dark-sky zone, so bring your telescope! THE CABIN The cabin has two bedrooms. One bedroom features a queen bed and a sitting area, while the smaller bedroom has twin bunk beds. It's perfect for up to four guests. The clean kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking and eating utensils you'll need, along with a four-burner gas stove and oven. There is no microwave. The refrigerator is mid-sized and includes a small freezer. The living room has a comfortable sofa and a couple of chairs. The full bathroom features a shower/tub combination and plenty of hot water. Heat is provided by two propane heaters. There are front and back porches overlooking the meadows—one for morning coffee and one for evening beverages. The cabin has recently been renovated and is clean and comfortable. The cabin is located near the ranch barns and corrals, so there is daily activity in the area. The cabin is solar-powered, and limited internet access is available.
