Apache Creek Campground is a quiet, undeveloped place defined by its ponderosa pines and abundant wildlife. It has somewhat of a reputation, but only in the best way in that its visitors take extraordinary care of the place. The closest village of Reserve is about 12 miles away. Stop by Ella’s Cafe where Yelpers rave about the burger and UFO-sized burritos.

Super private wooded surroundings with mountain views. Our home is only slightly visible from 2 sites. We can be social hosts, or leave you completely undisturbed. Quiet hours after 9pm either way. Access to Toilet, outdoor heated shower, small gas burner or wood-fired grill are included with any confirmed reservation. Guests may opt additional $ for many extras including firewood by the bundle, Potable Water in 5 gallon jugs, Camping equipment rental, and small use of Laundry (by appointment - water supply permitting) . Pets are welcomed and can be allowed off leash here but should not roam without supervision because we do have coyotes and pets can get lost.

Breathe in the fresh air at 7200 feet elevation, visit the contenintal divide and the historic Pie Town which is only 12 miles away. Many exciting places to visit Santa Fe is a 3 hour drive and Silver City is about 2.5 hours away. The Cibola and Gila national forest surround this property. This is a central place to stay yet feels very rural and serene. This property features a fully fenced 19 acres with rolling terrain surround by cedar, juniper and piñon pine trees. It is approx 3 miles of gravel and dirt roads heading north off of HWY 60 so if riding a bicycle a low vehicle or riding a motorcycle be aware that there are sometimes washboards and during monsoon season roads do get muddy. There is magnificent south facing views where you can see for miles and at night the stars seem to touch the ground. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular with an array of colors that will take a persons breath away. This is a place to unwind from the busy hustle and bustle. You can listen to coyotes howling, owls hooting, and other birds and animals instead of city noise. We own horses and can even take you on a trail ride.

Large rustic log cabin in the pines. Our families favorite place to be. Cabin is 2800 sqft. and has a large 1400 sqft. deck for enjoying the outdoors and views overlooking Greer Valley. Great base camp for fishing and hiking in the spring and summer, hunting in the fall and skiing in the winter. Very close to the three Greer lakes and only 15 minutes to Sunrise Ski Park. Quiet secluded location but still close to all Greer and the White Mountains has to offer.

Our location boasts a stunning views with hills all around and beautiful views of both sunrise and sunsets. We're working on adding showers and hot/cold plunge tubs for your enjoyment. Notably, we have a composting toilet that efficiently turns waste into fertilizer in just 3 weeks! We have two very sweet dogs that are off leash that may come up and say hello. If that is a bother please let us know in advance and we will try and accommodate your preferences. The property is accessible using 2WD, weather permitted, and when it is muddy or snowy we offer shuttle services. We are 3.3 million acres of national forest, with just over 700,000 acres of that being designated wilderness areas. The nearest town, Silver City, has a population of about 10,000. Gila's remoteness makes it an especially popular spot for stargazing. Amateur astronomers like to journey out to Gila's 3.5-acre Cosmic Campground. This Dark Sky Sanctuary features unobstructed, awe-inspiring 360-degree views of the heavens. There are minimal amenities here, but they include telescope pads – made of concrete so that you can setup your own telescopes for casual or focused study. You'll never think of space in quite the same way after seeing it from here! Pets are allowed. Please make sure you pick up after them. ON leash, please.

This is a great campground, on our way there it rained but we managed to arrive before night fall. It is deep in the forest and it is very secluded. I did call and talk to the ranger who gave me directions and also told me the best time to arrive so that I could get a spot. Sunday afternoon when the weekend campers were leaving, He was correct.We only spent one night there and it was very quiet and only a few other campers were there. There is no cell service!! So be prepared to be cut off from everything. It is well kept and clean. Unfortunately when we left all electricity was out in the local towns, so we had to wait a couple of hours to get diesel. But we waited at an RV camp and filled the water tanks and dumped for $18.00

I have camped here several times over the past ten years. The campground is large with only 10 designated sites all with good separation and a bit of privacy. Every site could be occupied yet I still have the feeling of not being crowded at all. No water, No host and No Fee. Pit toilets.

Great campground! Quite large and well groomed for free camping! There is a little gas station to re-fill on conveniences should you need them, otherwise it feels very secluded. Don't expect cell service!
