Wandering Pines is a little slice of magic in the Great North Woods of New Hampshire. Our sites range in size and privacy and offer field or wooded land. The sites are near our Small House on 5 acres but far enough away to feel private. We currently have 2 large campsites, 5 primitive walk in sites, 3 Pick your own sites, 3 park and sleep sites and 2 RV camper sites. If our sites are booked, please message me. We have a ton of space and can accommodate you somewhere! During the warmer months(April-Early December) all the sites have access to water and a primitive outhouse and handwashing/dishwashing station. Firewood can be purchased. Please check our extras for other items for purchase. We have wetlands and overgrown fields so there may be bugs and other animals at any given time. Bug spray is recommended. Although black bears are generally shy and usually avoid humans, they are opportunistic and will search for human food supplies when natural foods are not available. Maintaining a sustainable bear population in New Hampshire depends on minimizing human-bear conflicts. It is illegal to intentionally feed bears in New Hampshire. Intentional feeding can create problems within residential areas and can result in fines. It also may threaten the life of the bear, if it becomes a nuisance animal as a result of this feeding. Please keep your food in your car when you are not at the site and when you are sleeping. The property has views of Mount Martha and the Presidential Mountain Range. There are easy walking trails throughout the property. There is a field to play games; Soccer, wiffle ball, corn hole and yard croquet can be used. Just ask We are within 25 mins of Lancaster, Jefferson, Littleton, and Bethlehem. Small town bars, restaurants, breweries and one of a kind views of mountains, lakes, rivers and wildlife. There is hiking galore and more than enough to do for all ages.

Scars in the polished granite streambed tell the story of saw mills from the 19th century. Not far from the foundation of one of the more established farmsteads of the era, this campsite is tucked away from the road down by the rushing Bull Branch of the Sunday River. Whether you bake on the rocks after dipping, or toss a fly in a quiet pool, the river will soothe your soul. Explore endless mountains streams, trails to the Appalachian Trail, and remote dirt roads in the heart of the Mahoosucs from your secluded walk-in low impact tent site with privy. Deep swimming holes and trout fishing beckon. There are five sites in total. Hillside, Riverside and Fireside each have a picnic table, they all share a fire pit and a privy and are on the side of the road closest to the river. Main Eastside and the North site also share a fire pit and privy, Main Eastside has a picnic table, these two sites are across the street from the river which is just a short walk away. We are off the beaten path in the forest near the White Mountain National Forest. A 6 to 8 minute hike from your site gets you to a private lake. We have two local waterfalls only 2 miles away. Drive back out to 5 Kezars road. Take a right on the paved road. It will turn back into dirt. Keep on this road until you see a beautiful stone house on your left. Keep going just up the hill and you will see a right turn into the woods where you can park. There are no signs for Kezar gorge. Hike towards the sound of the falls. There is a small cave under the falls you can climb up into if you are a strong swimmer. There is a second set of falls if you hike down the river. A most magical spot for sure. There is a beautiful hike to a mountain lookout view of an amazing panoramic of lakes and mountains including Mt Washington and Pleasant Ski mountain right from your site. Streife translated from Norwegian means roam. The right to roam, also called the right of access, or everyman's right(“allemannsretten”) is a traditional right from ancient times, and since 1957 has also been a part of the Norwegian Outdoor Recreation Act. It ensures that everybody gets to experience nature, even on larger privately owned areas. In our travels to Norway, we learned of this law and loved the concept so much we brought it back with us to America. Yet we had no land to offer. So, we searched...and searched....and searched some more. Then we found what would become camp Streife. 20 acres of uncut timber growth forest, tucked in the hills of Rumford Maine. With a nearby brook, pond and within 20 minutes of some of our favorite ski locations it was just right. The rules of this law are simple. Be considerate and thoughtful. Don't damage nature and other surroundings. Leave the landscape as you would want to find it. Leave no trace. You may put up a tent, or sleep under the stars, for the night anywhere in the countryside, forests or mountains, as long as you keep at least 500 feet away from the nearest inhabited house or cabin. This rule of 500 feet distance also applies to camping cars and caravans. If you want to stay for more than two nights in the same place, you must ask the landowner's permission, except in the mountains or very remote areas. Well, we've taken care of all those Allemannsretten rules for you. We invite you to our small part of the world and encourage you to exercise your right to roam. The 100 acre wood located in the hills of Oxford County is a peaceful get away from the hussle and bussle of todays world. Recently selectively logged we discovered views of local mountains and decided to take advantage of the clearings. The cabin was built for me to steal away from the house and enjoy the wildlife, quiet, stars and silence. It is too peaceful to keep to myself so come and enjoy all that Norway Maine and the surrounding area has to offer! Learn more about this land: Welcome to Lulu's. Where you can get a little crazy under the moon or you can take in the peace and serenity of the stillness in the woods. Depends on what you are looking for! No neighbors to infringe on your ideal get away. The large cabin has a welcoming front porch to enjoy the amazing sunrises over Streaked Mtn. 100 acres of privacy to hike, watch wildlife and just relax. Cabin has outside facilities. Off the grid-no electric or running water. Cell service is adequate. 1 gallon of fresh well water provided for drinking and 10 gallons for washing/cooking. Bring your own linens for a queen size bed, twin bunk beds and a full pull out couch. 2 pillows are supplied with a pillow protective cover and pillow case which are washed after each guest. Pots, pans and utensils, are onsite which are washed between campers; trash bags, compost bags, paper towels, dish soap, dish towels and a 2 burner propane stove(green canisters needed) and an older propane table top grill are provided. Camp fire grill on site if you prefer cooking over open flame. There are some battery operated light switches and solar lights in the camp and outhouse. Norway Lake has a public beach and boat dock. Many hiking trails nearby-Noyes Mtn, Patch Mnt, Singpole and Streaked Mtn to name a few. Casino, race track and breweries for night life. Oxford Hills has much to offer.

We invite you to come stay at our location in the Western Maine mountains. We are located off of the Long Falls Dam Rd in Carrying Place Township, in the heart of Maine's wilderness. Our property offers beautiful mountain views; many nearby hiking trails; nearby swimming, boating, fishing and kayaking at Flagstaff Lake; along with numerous back roads to explore and look for wildlife. You can also find ATV trails about a half hour drive away in the town of Kingfield. Ensure you are guaranteed a spot just outside the Bigelow Preserve and everything it has to offer.
