Eighty acres featuring an old apple orchard, boulders, two creeks, and open areas for hiking, birding, stargazing, and wildlife watching. Bathroom provided next to RV site. Primitive camping with no water or trash service, pack in / pack out. There is a portable toilet. Note, work has begun on the nearby highway bridge. Located in the Alberton Gorge on the Clark Fork River, this is a premier location for the whitewater enthusiast. Take advantage of the class II, III rapids in your kayak or raft, or even surf. Alternatively, enjoy the relaxing Sandy Beach just a few minutes walk from the campground to swim and gaze at the beautiful argilite cliffs. The campground is near both the Interstate and a railroad so there is some ambient noise. Note: we have cameras on the surf shack (container) that can see the entrance and the portable toilet area. We're happy to share the images with anyone concerned.

Zoo Town Surfers is a small, family-owned rafting company located on the beautiful Alberton Gorge of the Clark Fork River. Similar to a farm stay, this is a living, breathing rafting company. We employ professional guides, several of whom also live or camp on-site. Every Thursday, we host a community paddle through the Alberton Gorge that brings together 20–30 members of the local kayaking community. We are a hub for paddlers of all kinds! You drive 50 miles back into the forest (on a paved road) to get here and take the same road to leave. This cabin offers 3 bedrooms plus an open loft bedroom. It has 3 queen size beds and 2 twin beds. All bedding is provided. Maximum occupancy is 6 campers. We offer a full kitchen, stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, etc plus all pots, pans, cutlery. All you need to provide is food. The property has one bath with toilet, sink and bath/shower and towels are provided for each guest. Additionally, it has high speed Starlink internet for watching Roku TV and making cell phone calls and staying current with world events. Additional parking is provided on the property for “toy hauler” trailers. The property borders almost 3 million acres of a national Forest and Wilderness. Many of the gravel roads are suitable for your standard 2 wheeler drive car. If you are more adventurous 4 wheel drive will get you a little deeper into the woods. For maximum exploration bring your UTV/ATV and you can go almost anywhere. A day hike is another option, you can drive your car to one of the many gated roads/trails and hike into a pristine lake in the wilderness for a day of fishing or sightseeing.
