Jug Handle Creek Farm is an absolute DREAM!! I camped solo with my pup, and had the most amazing time. The garden was beautiful, the hikes were incredible, and the cove is absolutely perfect. Town isn't too far so if you need to restock marshmallows (like I did), its quick and easy! Thanks for a wonderful stay. I will be back!
Probably one of my favourite farms to camp at so far, JHCF had everything I needed. A nice campsite, trails to explore and the ocean only a short hike away. The staff was very friendly and helpful during my stay. Not only is the farm beautiful itself but where it's located is plenty enough inviting if you're looking for a getaway. The ocean is across the street and Fort Bragg is less than 10 minutes by car. I highly recommend staying here.

Don't start blabbing to your "friends" what a great place Jug Handle Creek Farm is. You'll ruin it for the rest of us.
The campground was very easy to find coming off the highway. When we arrived, the office was closed (even though it was after 3:00 pm-the check in time). There was a note on the door saying to fill out the self-registration form in the box to the right, but there were only brochures in the box...We had made a reservation, so we just drove up to the left where the camp sites were located. We had to unlock a little chain gate to get through, but it wasn't difficult! Our camp site (No. 5) was the last one on the road and it was so cute and snug back in the Northern Ca woods. Definitely would go back again.
The campgrounds were lovely, and right across the street from a gorgeous beach. The Ecological Staircase trail provides a great hike from the campground, and there are many other hikes nearby. All of the campsites can support many people, so it's a great campground if you plan on having a large group!
We spent three nights camping at Jug Handle Creek Farm and absolutely loved it. There was no-one else staying so we had the place to ourselves, but it's so big and the sites so spread out that you would hardly notice other campers anyway. We loved the communal cooking area - so useful to have a sink! We have two young boys who enjoyed running wild in the big field, and there are three great walking trails which lead directly out from the campsite. One of them is an easy 10 min walk to a pristine secluded beach which we visited every day. The site is also midway between Mendocino and Fort Bragg, both within very easy reach and worth exploring. The coastline in this area is stunning! Don't expect luxury camping - there are basic long-drop type toilets and no showers, but if you enjoy plenty of space and seclusion and being close to nature then this is your spot. Highly recommended.
This is a wonderful place to camp! It is so close to the beach and other trails to hike on. It is absolutely beautiful and the farm house also was a great place to stay. We had a large group of people in several sites (3 and 4) and it worked out great. Great fire pits and sink for cooking.
Laid back atmosphere. Overall quiet. Very friendly owner and staff. Minutes from beach. Lot 5 is the way to go. Would def go back.
This was an amazing spot. Although there are 7 campsites on the property, they're spaced out a little bit so you don't get bothered by the others if you're looking for privacy. if you're lucky, you might also find some great camping neighbors like my group. When my friends and I were booking this campsite we thought the trail to the beach and forest would require us to cross the freeway, but this is not true after all. The trail to the beach is pretty nice undercutting a bridge with great scenic views. This is great if you're looking to spend quality time with a group of friends and have access not just to a low traffic beach, scenic forest, but Fort Bragg is a quick 15 minute drive away where you can find some great food, bars, and even the famous glass beach. Highly recommended.
