Learn more about this land: Centrally located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range between Portland and Salem, "Elk Falls Outdoor Recreation Retreat" is a small, private, "ADULT ONLY" (minimum of 21 years) outdoor recreation and camping retreat that provides the general public with access to forty acres of private property. This isolated and remote Outdoor Retreat will provide the quiet and peaceful outdoor recreation and camping experience you're looking for. Currently there are three outdoor recreation and camping permits available. Recreation Permits provides access to forty acres of private timberland property, camping at the waterfall, r/v parking and optional dispersed camping. The waterfall is 205 yards from the parking area. The last 80 yards is down a medium to easy grade hill. Direct access is also available to hundreds of acres of Port Blakely Tree Farm property. Ask about sportsmans discounts. The Molalla River Corridor, Table Rock Wilderness Area and Silver Falls State Park are all close by. Please REVIEW THE RULES TO MAKE SURE THEY CAN BE ADHERED TO. Dogs, anyone under the age of 21, more than 4 people per permit are NOT ALLOWED. We currently do not have firewood available here. Any firewood brought onto the property, must be PREPACKAGED, STORE BOUGHT FIREWOOD ONLY. This is to protect the property from invasive insects and disease. Elderberry Recreation Permit #1 allows access to forty Acres of private timberland, r/v parking and dispersed camping. To accommodate equal space for all permit holders at the waterfall, Elderberry permit #1 is assigned to the front area, which is the closest to the waterfall, just behind the shared "Community Space". The "Community Space" is shared by all permit holders. Everyone is encouraged to spend time in this area, closest to the waterfall. A primitive table and seats made from cut log rounds are at this area. Access to the waterfall is about a 215 yard walk from the end of the access road. The last 80 yards is down a medium grade hill. Please read the rules for the property. To make sure they can be adhered to. This is an adult only retreat. No Dogs, no one under 21 Years of age and no more than four people for each permit. Pallets and home cut firewood is NOT ALLOWED. Store bought, prepackaged firewood is only allowed onto the property. This is to protect the property from invasive Insects and disease.
