Coweeta Creek Campground

My family had another AMAZING time camping at Coweeta Creek. It was cold but it was nice to have clean bathrooms with hot showers. We enjoyed the peaceful sounds of the creek while getting cozy next to the camp fire. We went to Winter Wonderland in downtown Franklin. We saw some pretty lights and enjoyed some warm cider while shopping in the local stores. This is still one of my Favorite places to camp!

My family and I stayed at campsite number one. The scenery is beautiful and the whole park is very clean and well laid out. We loved that there was a good amount of space and privacy between the sites. The creek is very soothing and beautiful. It was very convenient having seasoned firewood and fresh farm eggs available to purchase on site. The eggs were delicious and the chickens greet you every time you walk to the bathhouse. Speaking of the bath house it was very clean and the showers were nice and hot with plenty of water pressure. There is an ingles 11 minutes away to stock up on food. There is also a beautiful easy trail 6 minutes away called Tessentee bottomlands preserve. Adam was a very welcoming and attentive host. I would definitely suggest this campground for anyone looking to have a peaceful, private camping experience.

Creekside s'more's!

We had a wonderful stay! The sites run along a large creek so the ambiance is perfect. Sites are clean with everything working properly and nicely spaced out. What we loved most is that there are many accessible approaches to the creek bed for our children to play and explore, plus large open fields for them to run some energy out. There is also a nice hike that takes you through the woods on the property. The hosts were out and about working on things, very friendly and accommodating. We will return.

Very pretty and peaceful

Site 1 is beautiful. It sits right on the edge of the creek. The sounds of the water flowing over the rocks nearby were so peaceful. The property is quiet and well-maintained. The bathhouse was exceptionally clean, and the showers have fantastic water pressure. Owners are very nice and came out to say hello to us. Ten out of ten, and am already planning a return trip for the springtime.

What a beautiful campground! All four campsites are by the creek providing mother nature’s perfect lullaby for a peaceful night of sleep. The availability of seasoned firewood on site is so convenient. Bathrooms with three toilets and three showers are great. I can’t wait to return!

Carolina Dogs in North Carolina

Perfect days with the pack at the idyllic setting of Coweeta Creek Campground. The personal touches made us feel welcomed; planted flowers exploding with color, a clutch of chickens, and rustic outbuildings added to the personality of this need to return to spot. Days spent looking at deer and sitting next to a babbling brook reading and doing yoga, interspersed with walking dogs on Turkey trail and around the property, is fondly etched into my memories. Well cared for campground in a beautiful setting, Coweeta Creek is top drawer.

Great spot by a good creek. Loved the open field as well. Firewood on site was so helpful. Only a few campers so it felt small and secluded. There is a neighboring property that backs up to the site on the other side of the creek so it does not feel entirely private. Still had a wonderful time! We loved it.

I love that the kids can run around and play safely. The creek can be played in safely for the kids. It is a great place to camp and relax and spend time together. Thank you for keeping it so well maintained -and providing a soccer ball when you saw my son using a dodgeballs at the goals. Already looking forward to our next camping trip there!

Peaceful getaway in nature

What a peaceful getaway and the most beautiful views! We do not have one negative thing to say . We sight right along the river was breathtaking and nothing compares to be able to hear the rushing water inside your rv overnight to put you to sleep . The bath house was clean and showers were great with good water pressure. We enjoyed watching the chickens and having one visit a time or two. Everyone we encountered were so nice and can’t wait to visit this place again!

Melissa was super helpful. We loved this place right next to the river, always soo pewceful.. Great wifi, showers, etc. really all you can ask for. A gem! Closer than most places to Atlanta made this super easy we will be back for sure.

Relax and recharge

This was my second time at the campground. It was better than before…. Fresh raised eggs and honey were amazing. Melissa was probably the best host I have ever had in all my travels. She is as kind as a cool summer breeze . If you need anything she’s got it for you, so if you’re ever around the Franklin area, stay a couple nights and enjoy the fresh breakfast! A 10 in my book.

This was our second time at Coweeta and it won't be our last! What a relaxing and beautiful place! Melissa came by and checked on us and, of course, we bought some fresh eggs and honey! Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!

Best place ever!

Absolutely fantastic place! First and foremost: the tranquility and nature. The butterflies put a magic show daily at one particular place in the creek - we never saw that many butterflies anywhere! This alone worth the trip: just sit by your RV or put a chair right in the creek and enjoy the butterflies! Other than that: very quiet and secluded: only 3 sites for RV and 1 more for a tent. There are at least 30 yards separating between sites. Manicured grass fields, flowers, chicken, trees and shade, a hiking trail, perfect full hookup, minutes driving to Dillard, GA or Franklin, NC. We will most certainly be back!

We had such a wonderful & peaceful time on this piece of paradise~ so serene, air so fresh and basically, surrounded by nature at its finest. We couldn’t ask for a better host ~ Melissa was so welcoming , very friendly, always responsive and informative. Our dog enjoyed playing in the refreshing creek behind the campsite. The sound of the rushing waters behind our camper lulled us to sleep & woke us up everyday we were there. We had everything we needed in the campsite with full hook ups and the bathrooms/ showers were clean and well stocked. We came home with fresh, organic eggs & newly extracted (literally!) honey… will definitely be back in this heavenly place!!!

Our stay at Coweeta Creek campground was fantastic! The whole property is beautiful and the creek was wonderful to listen to during our stay. Site #1 is the first one after you go around the loop. There is a flat gravel area to park on, and plenty of room to sit out under the canopy on our van and watch the creek. There’s a decent amount of space between sites, and all our neighbors were very nice and quiet. There’s no cell service (Verizon) so the advice to take screenshots of the important info was so helpful! The internet wasn’t working at first and we wanted to check the weather, but our neighbor wandered up to let them know and they immediately reset it. The bathhouse was huge and very well taken care of. You can tell they really love this property and put a ton of effort into it. We watched the chickens roam and got some farm fresh eggs (which were delish) and firewood for donation, but definitely want to get the honey next time as well! There were some people fishing in the pond, but we didn’t bring our gear this time. Our pup loved swimming in the creek too so we will definitely be back. The hosts were very nice and quick to respond. Looking forward to our next visit!

I spent four nights at #2 and had a great time. I highly recommend Cowetta Creek. It's easy to find and easy access in and out. The sites are right on a big creek. Sites 1 and 2 have a nice grass area right on the creek to sit and enjoy a fire. Good wifi, fresh eggs and honey, clean bathrooms, and plenty of room to walk a dog. Site 1 will have a little more privacy because there is no one behind you. Great location!

Coweta Creek campground provided a beautiful and very comfortable camping experience for my friends and I! The sites along the beautiful creek had great access to firewood and clean, bathrooms and hot showers with great water pressure! Both Adam and Melissa were gracious hosts and very communicative. They provided us with fresh eggs from thier chickens and allowed us yo take our time with a late check out. The site is meant for an rv, but the awning made for a great shelter for our tent camping. We made dinner, visited and played music and games under the awning the evening we had some rain. There is so much hiking and other attractions in the area making coweeta creek campground an awesome home spot to explore all thats in the area. I look forward to staying again in the future!
