We offer luxury camping in our vintage Safari tent, set within our working homestead, in a small Somerset village. On the farm you will find free range chickens, small breed sheep, Oxford Sandy Black pigs & 2 cats, as well as the abundant wildlife. The village pub is just across the road & serves excellent food, including a very popular carvery & will usually have live music on the weekend. There is a snack wagon in the village, as well as an excellent cake shed on Ham lane. The village itself is equidistant from both Street & Somerton & only about 5 miles from Glastonbury. We are a Greener Camping Club site & to stay with us at least one member of your booking party must be or become a member. The membership fee is £12 & will run until the end of the year. GCC pledges to plant a tree or wildflower space for every new member. So by joining when booking with a site you are contributing to how many trees or wildflower spaces are planted on that site.Our vintage safari tent offers a luxury camping experience, delivered with rustic charm. The sumptuous double bed & easy to use sofa bed can sleep either 3 adults or a family of 4. Bedding & towels are provided. The tent has a 16a mains supply, a log burner with a basket of logs, tableware, a small selection of games, cool box and everything you need to make your morning brew, before you sit out on the South facing porch to listen to the countryside come to life. We even supply a s'mores kit, to enjoy those starlit nights around the campfire! Toilets, shower room & camp kitchen with BBQ area can be found in our sustainably converted shipping container.
