Nestled in a wooded area on the outskirts of the AONB, the site's most distinctive feature is its beautiful natural lake and surrounding peaceful woodlands, ideal for walks and wildlife spotting. 🔥 Back-to-Basics & Off-Grid Ethos The site strongly emphasizes its back-to-basics philosophy: Off-Grid Living: Holt Hollow operates off-grid with limited to no phone coverage, promoting full disconnection from technology. Glamping units (Shepherd's Huts/Bell Tents) utilize gas-powered showers and solar lighting, with log burners for heat. Campfires: Campfires and BBQs are encouraged and allowed. Glamping units include private fire pits/braziers for evening gatherings under the clear, dark Norfolk skies, which are excellent for stargazing. We loved everything about this campsite. We were made to feel very welcome upon our arrival and had a spacious pitch overlooking the beautiful pond. The facilities were clean and tidy with great outdoor showers. We thoroughly recommend this spot especially if you’re cycling through as Holt is a short ride down the rode for any supplies you may need. Will definitely return the next time we are in Norfolk. Thanks for a great stay.

What a unique and beautiful place to have stumbled across as a last minute change of travel plans. I almost forgot I was in Norfolk, this spot is incredibly well maintained, peaceful, a dream to wake up by the water and watch the swans and heron and has all the amenities you could need for a camping trip or similar. Great location, everywhere is accessible and yet you don’t feel trapped in the hustle and bustle of the coast. And getting a HOT shower right in nature topped it off, just what I needed.

The site and general area are beautiful. A new area for us so it was fun to explore. Everywhere was exceptionally dog friendly which is was also a bonus. The toilet and washing facilities on site are good. The main irritation was from bird scarers in a lot of the surrounding fields. They boom every few minutes from 4am to around 10pm. Whilst you do get used them they certainly spoil the tranquility. I understand it's an agricultural area, (we live in one so get it), but some advanced warning would have been appreciated. Also, with hindsight, I don't really understand the different prices for different sized tents. I've not encountered this before and it's certainly the most I've ever paid for a pitch. There was no obvious difference in pitch size, amenities or location to justify it as far as I could see. Just left a bit of a bad taste.

Beautiful site with pitches round the lake and in the forest. So much wildlife including swans and bats! Facilities are rustic and basic but clean, and the site in general is well kept with mowed meadows between wilder growth. The tranquility of the site is somewhat disturbed by gunshots on surrounding farmland every 10 minutes or so from 7am until dusk which we presumed was an automated system to deter birds from the crops? 15 minutes drive to the nearest beach of Salthouse and 5mins to the town of Holt which has plenty of shops selling groceries, pet supplies and fuel.

The perfect getaway!

Glamping Shepherds Hut

The hut had everything we needed for a few days off grid and the location was so peaceful! I would thoroughly recommend! The weather was chilly but the log burner was more than enough to keep us warm and cosy. The kitchenette included a fridge and hob and the essential utensils and plenty of logs were provided.

Had a great time at this campsite! The grounds were really well taken care of, and the view of the lake was amazing. The staff were super friendly and made everything easy. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxing spot in nature with great people.

The Wife and I really enjoyed staying at Nigel’s Land. We got to choose where we wanted to park. The area was quiet, clean and had great scenery. The toilets were clean and the water was hot :) Had a fantastic evening watching stars and sitting by the camp fire. Nigel was a great host and kept in contacts.

Fraud - campsite doesn't exist

I booked three nights at this campsite but when I arrived at the location sent to me in the email with directions, it led to a field. I contacted the number in the same email and Nigel (if that's their real name anyway) refused to give me a location but suggested I search the campsite on Google. Pin on the map for campsite doesn't match the actual campsite, if it was real - in Huntington, which is 30 miles away. This whole experience has cost me £60 and having to seek alternative accomodation at the end of a tiring day from travelling. Very poor. Avoid!!!

Given the site was still being constructed we had a great time. It was the isolated and attractive site we had wanted but with reliable conveniences. The site was hard to find but since a sign was installed. We have shortlisted the site for another visit. Great access to Holt and the Country Park. Pleasant Place to wander as well and the kids had a great time in the nature complete with very beautiful ponds. The contractors working on the site were very friendly making for an overall really great stay. I imagine the site will only continue to get better at which point the price will be reasonable.
