Overpriced, awful facilities

Great location near the beach. Thatā€™s the only plus point. Pitches are small and crammed in Site is scruffy with weeds, rusty machinery lying around Washing up area - one had boiling hot water, the other Luke warm, and two cold. One floods so you have no option but to walk in a puddle Toilets dirty and many had no toilet paper Showers had no where to store your bits, run either too hot or cold The shower curtains were filthy and a health hazard One I went in smelt of blocked drains so I used another which blocked and flooded No where to dry your hands in outside sink area Wi-Fi is poor On reading the other reviews Iā€™ve not said anything that hasnā€™t been raised before many times but the owner has done nothing to address these well voiced issues Yes it was a busy bank holiday but we paid A LOT of money to stay here and I feel ripped off. I did send my thoughts directly to the owner but have had no response.

Whilst in a good location, this is a poorly maintained basic campsite for the quite considerable price to stay. There are lots of broken pieces of equipment, piles of building materials, and old damaged caravans.

A great location - 3 minute walk from the beach. Campsite has showers and toilet blocks that are fairly basic but clean and proper buildings/structures. Camp pitches are fairly close together, but the campsite lead is fairly relaxed about the tent locations. An easy going vibe overall and peaceful setting.

My friends and I had a super time together. The space for us to chill out was great. Unfortunately the site was generally unkempt, and Iā€™m not complaining about the ā€˜rusticā€™ feel, rather bits of broken glass (careful when walking the dogs), water leak in toilet block (no warning signs or mop to have a go yourself, and I canā€™t quite understand the price ā€¦ we were expecting a little bit more to be honest. As I say, we had a great time but we wonā€™t be hurrying back because the risk of breaking an ankle on crazy uneven ground, pot holes etc (not to mention again glass) just means itā€™s not worth the risk. Hopefully will be an ongoing project that is sorted in time for the mad rush in the school holidays! One plus for us on a week day.. barely anyone else there.

Close to beach. Next to the Norfolk Coastal walk. Nigel met us on arrival. Introduced to the dogs and chickens (and spotted a fluffy cat). We loved the relaxed air of the camp field but everything looks like itā€™s in a state of building or maintenance! Which, to be fair Nigel said they were renovating the barn to accommodate more indoor campers. We had ā€˜camper van with awningā€™ as we brought our own bell tent, there were more of this type, one shepherds hut in the same field and at least three other shepherds huts secluded behind the barn. There is the potential for four washing up sinks - only one had water working. Toilet block with three male, three female loos and hand washing. Two showers - also in this block. Side of the barn was also showers and single toilets with two stand alone basins outside. Water points everywhere. We used electric hook up which was good and consistent. WiFi was also working where we were, only used it for the radio though. Some hard standing was a bit dubious with the hard core having glass and pottery mixed in. We brought bicycles and really had to watch where we pushed them. Overall, loved the rustic camp ground, would hope the hard standing would be sorted out soon. Would recommend.

lovly location, a warm and friendly welcome, great watching the wildlife at nearby Wild ken hill and RSPB Snettisham , and with being just minutes form the dog friendly beach a; made my stay perfect

Nigel's land was ideal for our camping trip. It was a small plot that felt tucked away, next to a field that was lovely to look out on. The shower, toilet, and washing up facilities were great and Nigel and his wife were friendly and helpful when we needed them.

We had hoped for a quiet, child friendly week by the beach. For the first few days that was what we got. Unfortunately, from the Friday evening the site became overcrowded (which the sewers couldnā€™t handle and started pouring out from the drain) with large groups of revellers with no consideration for the 10pm quiet time and the site was noisy until the early hours of the morning. We had to ask the group pitched right next to us to stop screaming at 10.30 because our kids were trying to sleep. Apparently they had no idea there was a 10pm quiet time. Then, on the Saturday, a couple were pitched right next to us who just sat outside getting stoned for the rest of the weekend. Not exactly something I want my 6&8 year olds subjected to. I appreciate that people want to have party camping weekends, and thatā€™s fine, but donā€™t advertise a site as family friendly if youā€™re pitching party groups right next to families with young kids. Definitely not worth the price.

Terrible. Simultaneously the most expensive and the worst campsite I have stayed. Complete regret as soon as we arrived. The field is small and completely rammed full. Barely any space between the tents and certainly no room for playing and relaxing with children. The pictures show a practically empty field. Experience shows all out greed. Twice the price as any other campsite we have stayed, including others beach side. On booking we assumed it would be superior, but now I totally regret not reading the reviews. Even those that made the wise decision not to stay were correct. Greed sums it up. Tents and vans shoved into a small field, pricey plots with an extra charge per head and then for early check in. Free fire pits but we were given a dustbin lid! The office is a complete sty, the toilet block is surrounded by rubble which is mixed in with the gravel causing a cut toe in flip flops. 4km beach walk to Hunstanton. Extremely disappointed.

Just got back from a weekend away with our 2 year old son, and would definitely recommend. Nigel was there to greet us on arrival and explained everything very clearly. Showers and toilets were always clean, pitches are closer together than some others sites we ve been to, but you still have plenty of space and we didnā€™t feel it was too crowded. Would definitely visit again.

Toilet block was lovely and clean, couldnā€™t make the pot washing up sinks work but washed up when Nigel wasnā€™t around so didnā€™t get to ask, so probs just me. Went in March and it was very peaceful and very close to the sea .

Great location close to beach and available year round. We had an out of season break so site was every quiet. All essential facilities are available and reasonable although some are a bit tired and could be cleaner.
