I decided to book a spontaneous trip away for my girlfriends birthday and this Yurt was absolutely perfect for a quiet weekend getaway. Great views, peace and quiet, you're left to your own devices and the farm itself is very close to nearby shops and main city centre which was a massive help for getting food in. Staying in a yurt was a first for me but I can happily say id do it again and definitely recommend staying here!
George is great as a host leaving eggs, apple juice, some bread amd butter for us upon welcome and is great with communication in case of any questions/concerns you might have during your stay. Excellent place overall, 10/10 stay!

Berty the yurty
Berty the Yurty is an amazing set up; the terrace area with the outside kitchen is gorgeous and where I spent most of my time, listening to birds and watching butterflies dance around wild flowers. Seating is well provided for with reclining wooden chairs (i don’t know the proper name for them) and a metal table and chairs which stay remarkably cool in the shade.
Hand sanitizer provided around the place and in the composting toilet for use before moving outside and across to the sink for a proper handwashing is just *chefs kiss*
I don’t think that there is anything that hasn’t been thought of and provided for an awesome yurting experience here; and if you need anything then George and his team are very responsive via messaging (and I expect by phone and in person for the less shy) to bring more sawdust for the toilet, or eggs and apple juice from the farm that day.
If you have the opportunity to go then do! I’m so glad I did!

We Stayed in a beautiful yurt nestled near the forest, located on a charming farm.
Enjoyed fresh air, peace and quiet, and cozy comforts. Woke up to the scent of nature and started our day with our delicious homemade apple juice and fresh free-range eggs. The warm, welcoming host was happy to share local tips and helped make our stay relaxing and memorable.We would recommend to others 😃👍

We had an excellent stay at Berty the Yurty. As we stayed in Dec, even the wood burner was on for our arrival and Roy kindly met us to show us around. The facilities are impressive given the outdoor nature of the experience and it really is a chance to unwind and disconnect for a few days. The fresh eggs, sourdough, milk and apple juice were a lovely touch and Roy was very helpful when we needed the chopped wood topping up! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This was the most perfect place during our stay in the South of England. Lots of privacy, everything was full equipped and the host was very kind. It was to bad that we only stay here for two nights. You're own (compost) toilet, shower, outside kitchen and a perfect view. By night de lights make it a peaceful place to be! We recommend this place to everybody.

A lovely stay in the cosy Yurt. The hosts were very accommodating and a pleasure to speak to. In the height of winter we were toasty inside with the log burner and managed to cook food on it without any problem. Comfortable bed, it has everything you need. Highly recommended.

We had the most magical night away on the farm. The yurt is perfect - spacious but cosy, well equipped with thoughtful details. It felt remote despite being at the end of a chicken farm, with amazing views over the forest and great walks from the back of the yurt. We went in November and stayed toasty by the fire. It felt like a real adventure and we are already planning a return trip. Our hosts were flexible, welcoming and responsive. Thank you!

George (the new owner) was a welcoming host and very knowledgeable. Berty is well kitted out and we were so cosy all night. Free range eggs and fresh bread for breakfast. A perfect overnight stay!

Beautiful accommodation, as cosy as can be at night thanks to the wood burning stove ( and duvet). Attached to the farm is a wonderful piece of Woodland with rare wild mushrooms and a sense of untouched wilderness. The hosts are very helpful and friendly and you do feel away from it all ( ie you cannot hear traffic noisee on A2, just a contented silence ). I felt it was excellent value for money. Highly recommend.

We had the best weekend in the yurt. It was super cosy and felt autumnal perfect for our October getaway. It gets super toasty with the stove & the yurt has all the items you need. You can tell it’s really thought out by Jon the owner.
No wifi but my signal was good to hotspot from.
The area also feels really private, we were undisturbed. Cute towns and pubs are a short drive away alongside a really nice farmers type market area.

We had a wonderful time in this quiet corner, perfect for both of us and also for our dog. The facilities are excellent, the surroundings beautiful. We walked into Canterbury on the North Downs path and then back along the Rover Stour, a long hike for us, but a good option.

We loved our stay at Berty the Yurty! It was cosy, comfortable and cute. Having our own little outside space was perfect, and the facilities were clean and well-stocked. When we arrived we called Jon and he was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

Beautifully equipped with free wood, be sure to make sure its dry, and excellent log burner/stove, and lovely view.
A table was the only thing missing in this gorgeous yurt.

We arrived in a wet and windy weather, the yurt was warm and cosy on our arrival. There was enough logs to take us through 2 night stay.
We were aiming at indoor lounging which met all our needs; we probably would utilize the outdoor grill in more welcoming weather.
Issues with hot water, mentioned in previous post, were now resolved and we managed hot showers.
All questions/ issues were answered/attended within minutes which helped us to focus on enjoying the time away from hussle and bustle of daily life.
From what it looked like the place offers beautiful walking paths and we're planning to be back to explore those.
Overall, fantastic set up, cosy and clean :) very enjoyable:)
