Head to High Ashes Haven if you are looking for a relaxing retreat. We’re set among rolling countryside on the edge of the Peak District in the hills between Chesterfield and Matlock. The site dates to 1640 or earlier. If you want to step back in time and get close to nature, it is just the place. Our accommodation provides a unique, individual space for you to relax and create special memories. Comprising a traditionally built gritstone barn and glamping units that are spread out for maximum privacy You are free to explore the farm and meet the friendly farm animals; sheep, pigs, chickens and ducks.

Set in its own space, for blissful privacy, our Serenity nomadic-style bell tent, sleeps up to six in a large airy space. Serenity Tent offers you a first-class experience, with its high-sided walls for more usable space. It is double-lined for extra warmth. There is a comfortable king-sizes bed, a single bed with luxury mattress, and pull out single bed. Also air mattress with bedding provided. A good night’s sleep is yours for the taking. We provide an extra second, smaller bell, tent to give your more space to chill out , with single bed and a roll out double bed. You can use this as an extra sleeping tent or as a play tent for the kids . We provide all bedding and towels. There is power and lighting inside the main tent , with an electric fan and heater for your comfort, whatever the weather. Next to the Serenity tent you have your own private outdoor well-equipped kitchen. There is a gas BBQ, microwave, toaster, fridge, kettle, pots & pans, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. There is a dining table and seating inside the outdoor kitchen area. The tent has a large nearby fire-pit, that can be used for cooking with a purpose-built seating area. Your own private shower room with toilet.

Haven Shepherd's Hut

Warm and cosy in Winter and cool in Summer, your Shepherd’s Hut is a brightly decorated spaces with a cosy, super-king bed, with linen, towels and a goose feather and down duvet all provided. We built the Haven Shepherd’s Hut, by hand, on site, using recycled and up-cycled materials. Right next door is a bathroom with luxury rain shower, toilet, and sink. There is a very well equipped outdoor kitchen with a gas BBQ & hob, microwave, toaster, fridge, pots & pans cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. There is even a wood-fired pizza oven. Outside Haven Shepherds hut, you can unwind by the fire-pit enjoying the view of the ancient duck pond and seven standing stones. The pond is Illuminated at night, creating a unique, serene and romantic atmosphere.

Fun glamping weekend away

Serenity Tent

Had a wonderful time at high ashes. Facilities were super- lovely hot shower, with shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. Kitchen area was perfect for preparing meals, and there was a fire pit- great for toasting marshmallows. Phil was a brilliant host, super accommodating and gave great info about stuff to do in the local area. Also loved the duck pond! Overall fantastic stay 😊
