A great way to get amongst the gum trees and ti-trees, to sit back and relax with the amazing views. Take the time to experience Phillip Island and surrounds! Banksia Park Estate is in Newhaven, Phillip Island and is the perfect rural getaway! The property has you feeling like you are far away from civilisation, yet you are so close to all that Phillip Island has to offer. We are within walking distance to cafes, restaurants, playgrounds and The Phillip Island Chocolate Factory. A leisurely walk will take you to Newhaven on the Island, and then over the bridge to the picturesque seaside village of San Remo. We are just a short drive to popular surf and swimming beaches and all other attractions on the Island. The property is nestled on 32 acres of a natural rural landscape of trees, wetlands with Westernport Bay and Churchill Island views unique to Banksia Park’s location. There are the untouched wetlands, TiTree walks and abundant Wallabies, Cape Barren geese, Purple Hens, Pelicans and Bandicoots The chicory kiln at the entrance is known as the “Bern Denham kiln”. Bern Denham was one of the three original entrepreneurs in the 1920s who were the first to take tourists by torchlight to see the little penguins’ nightly arrival on the beach. Not to mention he was an influential contributor in getting the Phillip Island racetrack built and up and running. Please Note: Our property and all sites do not have any external power, water or toilet facilities available for campers so you will need to be completely self – contained in a caravan, campervan or roof top tent set up. We actually can not offer Tent Sites (Tents, Swags, sleeping in cars etc) Please confirm that you are fully self contained when making the booking Our check - in on the day of arrival is between 2.00pm - 5.00pm and we appreciate an estimated time of arrival. The sites are clearly sign posted so if you ae going to be very late we may not see you till the following morning. That way we can make arrangements to be on-site to check you in. If needed, late check in within daylight hours can be arranged subject to our availability.

It is located on the billabong just east of the winery. Gas hot water and stove plus BBQ . Supplied base sheet and pillows for double bed. Tea and Coffee. William Buckley camped here! Great restaurants, surf beaches, and golf courses all close by.

Lovely well maintained spot, wished we could have stayed longer. Tracy responded quickly to messages prior to booking. Checked on us once we were set up to make sure we were happy. Walking distance from the New Haven shops. Great views over Churchill Island & beyond. Swamp wallabies at the bottom of the property intrigued the boys but the horses were a favourite with them. Definitely recommend this property.

We had a terrific 3 days staying on the farm. It is in a great location to experience all Phillip Island has to offer. Richie and Sharon are exceptional hosts, responding very promptly and generously to any requests. Our granddaughters loved playing on the hay bales and having a ride in the tractor to feed the cattle and move hay. Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness.

Great open space over looking the water. Both Sharon and Richie made use feel very welcome at there farm. I would recommend this location for anyone that wants a bit of room and a nice location. James

Very private as we had the field to ourselves. Saw lots of wildlife. Very quiet at night, but race track can be heard during the day.

We have just stayed in one of the Garden View sites. We had the garden to ourselves. Sitting atop the rise with distant water views the hum of the main road faded into the background. With Woolamai Beach so close it was a delight watching the sun set over the water. Would come back again if we are in the area.

Great little spot! We stayed on site 1 in the orchids which was a nice grassy level spot and had access to water if we needed. Such a good location being close to penguin parade and Phillip island winery and just overall easy to get to everywhere from there. Wayne was lovely. Would definitely stay again and recommend!

Sharon & Ritchie went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time! We booked for 1 night in March to celebrate my partners 25th birthday, and Ritchie kindly welcomed all 35 of us to camp up at his top paddock. Firstly, the views of the ocean are breathtaking! On a clearer night, the sunset would have been just gorgeous. There’s so much space and the paddock was so clean and tidy. Ritchie even gave us his Weber BBQ to cook on for the night, and brought up his rubbish and recycle bins so we didn’t have to lug all our rubbish home to Melbourne with us. Which was greatly appreciated. Would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a private, secluded camp away from the busy caravan parks 🙌🏼

Weekend Trip to Sommerleigh

Absolutely loved our stay! So quiet and secluded with abundant bird life. Sitting out on our little balcony at the sleeping shack we saw many birds we’d never seen before! Such a great set up and to have the whole island to yourself was magical. There’s 2 shacks, one the sleeping quarters and then a short walk is the other one being a kitchen. The toilet is then a short walk from the kitchen. Everything in the huts was so clean and what a luxury to have a flushing toilet and hot shower! Stay here and spoil yourselves and walk the 3 minutes to dine at Moonah restaurant. Just be sure to book in as it’s fine dining at the one of the best degustation restaurants you’ll find in Australia! Thanks Jeff for providing an exceptional little place where there’s so many little quirky and interesting things to see and do on this amazing property.

The space and privacy having a paddock to ourselves is awesome. We had views of the ocean on the Middle Paddock. The dogs had a great time. The geese, birdlife, and stars at night all added to our stay. I'd stay again. Ventnor Beach was perfect to take the dogs too as well.

We loved our stay at Sharon and Ritchie’s paddock, if you are self-contained it is a perfect place to stay when visiting Philip Island. We had peace and tranquility in our own paddock. Ritchie is so welcoming and giving of his time, taking our boys upon arrival in his trailer and arranged a tractor ride for them during our stay… despite working out in the farm all day, he still made time for us. Thank you so much, we look forward to visiting again!

Phillip Island Winery is less than a 500m walk and the Phillip Island Nature Park Penguin Parade is a short drive We only cater for self-sufficient motorhomes, campers, and caravans. We are located 6 minutes from the Penguin Parade and 15 minutes from Cowes. We are trialling one campsite. We farm Trees and Bees and share a passion for all things connected with nature on Phillip Island. This winter we planted over 1, 200 trees and have plans to plant another 4,500 trees next winter. Our 5 acre field is flat and filled with wildlife. We offer one Campsite on our field to ensure your privacy and to provide you with a place to rest. The ocean can often be heard from the property. Watch the sunrise or sunset from your own piece of paradise! Access to the field is easy and you can come and go as you please but we do prefer that, for the safety of guests and our wildlife, you are at your campsite before sunset. We have resident populations of Wallabies, Cape Barron Geese, Eastern Bard Bandicoots, Brush Tailed Possums, Pobblebonk Frogs, Crickets and a pair of beautiful Wedge Tailed Eagles. Berry's Beach is an easy walk from your campsite and it offers an amazing beach and ocean environment. Berry's beach clifftop walks provide an ideal location for a sunset stroll and perhaps, to spot Mutton Birds or even a Whale or two. If entering the ocean is your thing fishing, snorkelling, shipwrecks, kayaking, rock pooling, surfing, sailing and sun baking are all there, or at beaches nearby.
