We are brand new for 2024 and will have 2 units onsite this year and plans in place for another 2 soon . It's a hidden gem, off the beaten track and a great place to reconnect with nature and the countryside. We can give you a map of the many trails through the woodland and other places of interest. We would advise bringing a pair of wellies or sturdy walking boots. A short car journey away you will find Deene House & Park (3 miles), Kirby Hall (4 miles), Rockingham Castle (4 miles), Boughton House (5 miles), Lyveden New Bield (6 miles) and the pretty and historic market town of Oundle (7 miles), A little further afield there is the beautiful town of Stamford and magnificent Burghley House (19 miles).

What a gorgeous place! The perfect place for a calm refuge to reset and re-enter life restored. This was a super last-minute booking, despite knowing that it was going to be pretty wet all weekend. Despite the rain, this was a magical place and my son and I had a special time together. The rain maybe made it even more special. Anna is lovely and very helpful and their dog spent quite a lot of time with us because he realised we would continue to throw a stick for it until we went to sleep. Which was bliss!

Wonderful bespoke cabin with lots of charm. It’s handmade and beautiful, and really clean and comfy! We loved our stay. The bath was a huge treat. The water from the spring was delicious. We found amazing walks in the area- long and fabulous views and woodland. We loved Daphne’s in Prestiegne- delicious supper. Highly recommend - the children (10 and 7) loved the bedroom in rafters. A real gem!

We had an excellent stay at the round house. The location is incredibly serene with gorgeous views. The building is beautiful and has been furnished with great attention to detail. The bed is really cosy, the hot shower is great and the cooking area is well equipped. Meg and Benjamin were very attentive hosts and we would warmly recommend a stay here.

It was a fabulous secluded spot which was what we were looking for. The accommodation had basic facilities but were perfectly adequate. There was a great main area with toilets, showers, TV and pool table. Lots of great walks around. Fabulous spot for a weekend get away

We had a wonderful few nights. A great play to relax and loved the fact that it's so tucked away with so many walks straight out the door. A bonus was seeing the odd supersonic jet emerge at tree level at the end of the Mach Loop. Don't worry, these were a spectacle, not an irritation. Peace and serenity assured here and some wonderful beaches a short car ride away. Recommended!

3 nights at wildwood quarry retreat

We stayed in the Oak cabin. Both cabins are pretty identical. Absolutely fantastic stay with an amazing location and stunning views. Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather but that was ok because we had all the facilities we needed to cook, clean and relax. Super easy access to nearby towns if wanting to venture off to find stuff to do. The outdoor bath was a really nice touch as well. Felt so relived and stress free not having to think about the daily grind for a few nights. Couldn't recommend Wildwood Quarry Retreat enough!! Thanks a lot Colin. :) Matt

We had the best weekend in the gypsy caravan. The area was really pretty and felt very private and we had so much space to ourselves. The caravan itself was well equipped and the bed was really comfy. The separate bath caravan was also lovely.

Weekend Trip to Bechan Retreats

Amazing lodges, our family had Kites Nest and Barn Owl Lodge and they were perfect for our group size, including a toddler and elderly woman! They were comfortable and gorgeous. Interiors and views were stunning, I couldn't believe the sunsets at night, the hot tubs were such a treat and both lodges had fantastic seating areas on the deck, we went on the steam railway and enjoyed a BBQ at the lodge. Would love to come back next year.

2 nights at Celtic Woodland Holidays

We stayed in Epynt and had a lovely couple of days. It was basic but very comfortable and had everything we needed. Double bed was very comfortable and the kids liked staying on the bunkbeds. The view from the balcony was beautiful, especially at sun set. We found it warm enough so didn’t need to use the log burner. The communal kitchen was great and the games room was a very welcome addition.
