You will also have your own campfire and picnic area right outside and parking is provided adjacent to your unit . We have a secluded private hillside woodland with further areas to explore without even leaving the site . We are brand new for 2024 and will have 2 units onsite this year and plans in place for another 2 soon . In total we will have 4 camping pitches with direct connection for water , electric and lpg gas for all your heating cooking and bathing needs

Wonderful bespoke cabin with lots of charm. It’s handmade and beautiful, and really clean and comfy! We loved our stay. The bath was a huge treat. The water from the spring was delicious. We found amazing walks in the area- long and fabulous views and woodland. We loved Daphne’s in Prestiegne- delicious supper. Highly recommend - the children (10 and 7) loved the bedroom in rafters. A real gem!

We had an excellent stay at the round house. The location is incredibly serene with gorgeous views. The building is beautiful and has been furnished with great attention to detail. The bed is really cosy, the hot shower is great and the cooking area is well equipped. Meg and Benjamin were very attentive hosts and we would warmly recommend a stay here.

We had a wonderful few nights. A great play to relax and loved the fact that it's so tucked away with so many walks straight out the door. A bonus was seeing the odd supersonic jet emerge at tree level at the end of the Mach Loop. Don't worry, these were a spectacle, not an irritation. Peace and serenity assured here and some wonderful beaches a short car ride away. Recommended!

We stayed in the Oak cabin. Both cabins are pretty identical. Absolutely fantastic stay with an amazing location and stunning views. Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather but that was ok because we had all the facilities we needed to cook, clean and relax.
Super easy access to nearby towns if wanting to venture off to find stuff to do.
The outdoor bath was a really nice touch as well. Felt so relived and stress free not having to think about the daily grind for a few nights.
Couldn't recommend Wildwood Quarry Retreat enough!!

Amazing lodges, our family had Kites Nest and Barn Owl Lodge and they were perfect for our group size, including a toddler and elderly woman! They were comfortable and gorgeous. Interiors and views were stunning, I couldn't believe the sunsets at night, the hot tubs were such a treat and both lodges had fantastic seating areas on the deck, we went on the steam railway and enjoyed a BBQ at the lodge. Would love to come back next year.

We stayed in Epynt and had a lovely couple of days.
It was basic but very comfortable and had everything we needed. Double bed was very comfortable and the kids liked staying on the bunkbeds.
The view from the balcony was beautiful, especially at sun set.
We found it warm enough so didn’t need to use the log burner.
The communal kitchen was great and the games room was a very welcome addition.

This place is extremely special. Very remote, beautiful and tranquil in natural and peaceful surroundings.
If you're an eco-friendly animal lover you will be at home here. I wish I could have stayed forever.
The round house is so pretty, very clean, very well thought out, has everything you need and is the perfect retreat. I will return 100%.
Compost toilet is clean and tidy, not smelly. The shower is warm with everything you need and even the toiletries are amazing.
Megan and Benjamin are super lovely humans. Always there to help if needed, very kind and considerate.
I would recommend a pair of Wellies as is a little walk from the parking area to the round house. Definitely worth it though 👌
Also it's a good drive 'up' so keep going you're not lost 😅

Weekend Trip to Dyfi Forest Retreats
We had such a gorgeous and relaxing stay at Dan's cabin. By choosing to visit at the end of January, we were a little nervous that we would be cold, but the fire kept us nice and toasty all weekend. Dan was friendly, relaxed and super helpful and he has provided everything you could need for your stay. The spot felt totally private, but equally knew that if we were stuck with anything we'd be able to get help quickly. Lovely to explore the beautiful surroundings and it's a decent but nice walk down to the local pub and back! We'll definitely be returning again.

Where to go
River East Onny & Darnford Brook
These two waterways link to form a natural divide between Stiperstones NNR and The Long Mynd to the southeast. With some of the only level, grassy ground between these two popular hilly areas, this is a region attracting lots of outdoor lovers. One of the best pitching places can be found in the wildflower meadows near Ratlinghope, where the Shropshire Way and Cross-Britain Way long-distance paths pass close.
The Long Mynd
The dramatic seven-mile-long wedge of plateau southeast of Stiperstones NNR is The Long Mynd: also part of the Shropshire Hills AONB. Scored by steep valleys and covered in stark moorland, it’s a magnet for hikers as several long-distance paths, such as the Shropshire Way and Cross-Britain Way trundle through, alongside mediaeval trading route The Portway. Prehistoric sites litter the hillsides too.
Kerry Ridgeway
Running along a ravishing ridgetop with Wales on one side and England on the other, this ancient route follows the way cattle drovers would have journeyed with their livestock. It spans 15 miles between Kerry in Wales and Bishop’s Castle in England, a few miles south of Stiperstones NNR. Expect comely sites and glamping pods set in rolling fields with fire pits and picnic tables.
Montgomery Canal & Northern River Severn Loop
Partially navigable Montgomery Canal threads between Frankton Junction in England, where it intersects with the Llangollen Canal, and Newtown in Wales. It runs about ten miles west of Stiperstones NNR. Sleepy, scenic countryside makes the whole waterway a very pleasant place to walk, cycle or try narrowboating. For much of its Welsh course (Arddleen-Newtown), the canal runs close to the northernmost winds of the River Severn. This level, lush, river-laced terrain has excellent camping possibilities.
