Weekend Trip to The Exmoor Woodland Escape
Had an amazing time at Alison and Bear’s shepherds hut. Such a beautiful, peaceful location and a very cosy hut. Alison and Bear were very kind and helpful, guiding us to the hut when we arrived and they’d already lit the log burner and hot tub fire.

The hut is so pretty and cozy! The hut tub was perfect and Alison was so so nice, she took care of everything we needed. Beware that the road to the hut is muddy.

The location is incredible, but the merit really goes to the owners and their family who made my partner and I feel so incredibly welcomed during our star
We cannot recommend to stay here enough and know we will definitely be visiting when the camping season starts :)

If you're looking for a peaceful & private retreat, this hidden gem is the perfect place to stay. We were warmly welcomed by Evie and daughter as soon as we arrived, even though it was a very wet & windy evening. Cottage Orne is cosy & comfortable with great views. Only natural sounds were to be heard including owls. After a day out walking with the dog in the beautiful surrounding countryside, it was lovely to be able to return & sit out on the decking, relax and warm yourself around the firepit. The fairy lights added a magical touch. The fenced cottage garden is ideal for those with dogs and having the freedom to access the extensive grounds was an unexpected treat. Thank you for another wonderful weekend. A peaceful time spent camping in amongst the apple trees with delicious cider available in the cosy tasting room. Board games to play, Apple cake to munch and clean toilets and showers with plenty of hot water. Lovely family running the show as well. Perfect.

This was a super last-minute booking, despite knowing that it was going to be pretty wet all weekend. Despite the rain, this was a magical place and my son and I had a special time together. The rain maybe made it even more special.
Anna is lovely and very helpful and their dog spent quite a lot of time with us because he realised we would continue to throw a stick for it until we went to sleep. Which was bliss!

The cider farm is incredibly beautiful and peaceful! If you are looking for a quiet and serene retreat this is the place to go :) The cider itself is so good and would highly recommend ‘hunny bubble’

It was my first time at a campsite and it was a great experience. The pitches are far apart from each other so you get a lot of privacy.
Each pitch is leveled and comes with a firepit.
The views are gorgeous.
I wish there were more toilets as often we had to wait. The toilet is not separate from the shower so if someone is showering the toilet becomes unavailable. I was happy to use the compost toilet but my girlfriend preferred the flushable one.
Would definitely camp here again.

Weekend Trip to Shirehill Farm
We had a really lovely stay in the Shepherds Hut, the location is so beautiful and peaceful. Lots of stunning walks nearby. Kitchen had all the cooking facilities you need and outdoor shower and toilets were very well maintained. Alison was very welcoming and extremely helpful. Thanks!

We stayed at Cottage Orne for the August bank holiday weekend and so glad we booked it. Evie was amazing and always available if needed and our kids loved playing with the new puppies. The cottage itself was perfect for a long weekend away and catered for our family of 4 with no problems. If we are ever back in the area, I'm sure we will be back to stay.

4 nights at Poole Farm
The pod is located in a private farm and felt like a little escape from the rest of the world. The view of Woolacombe bay from the pod is stunning and if you're lucky with the weather, the sunset view is incredible too. The pod is well equipped and spacious enough for 2 adults and an infant (we were able to fit a travel cot inside too!). Would highly recommend this to anyone travelling to the area!

Absolutely loved our camping weekend. Such a beautiful site and so peaceful. Really well maintained and well thought out pitches, really well spaced out! The kids loved it too and happy running through the meadow and space to be kids. Pridie was a fab host and really helpful and friendly. We’ll definitely be back!

Seaton is a beautiful place in its own right though and a boon for campers, with a heap of good Seaton campsites within easy driving range. As always, we've been out and about in tent and campervan uncovering the best, with only our favourites making it onto the Hipcamp shortlist.
