The site is a unique woodland valley folded around a clear, spring-fed lake created from the old Tregildrans Quarry. Our tipis and tent pitches are dotted about this secret 20 acres full of ferns, bluebells, oak and meadowsweet.
Left in peace for many years there's been no modern chemicals or poisons on the land, meaning we've got bluebells, dormice, Red Admirals and shy woodland Jays for you to spot.
It’s a place set apart from the rush and clutter of the modern holiday experience, with an atmosphere that makes you forget the world outside, and just lounge, ramble, or potter about in a boat.
We're committed to giving you a genuinely individual service from first contact to your time staying with us.
We established CTH in 1996. This was the first and we believe still is the best tipi holiday site in the UK. We know our area inside out and can always help with local knowledge or contacts if you need them.
We want to offer our guests a sustainable holiday. A return to real camping means the lowest possible impact on the land and environment - our tipi poles don’t even break the surface of the earth. Your footprint while here could only be bettered by a survival expert. You don't have to fly! a major bonus, and we source all our wood, fish and canvas locally and work with local people wherever possible.

We had such a wonderful two-night stay at Elm Farm with two friends and our two dogs. The location was absolutely perfect, just a short drive to lots of beautiful beaches, with Porthtowan being a real highlight for us as it brought back childhood memories of visiting.
The facilities at Elm Farm were excellent and made our stay really comfortable. The hosts were so welcoming and attentive, and they went out of their way to give us loads of great recommendations for places to explore nearby.
One of the best surprises was discovering their café on the bike hire side, the food was absolutely amazing and not to be missed!
We couldn’t have asked for a better base for our trip. We’d definitely recommend Elm Farm to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a fantastic location, and we’ll certainly be returning.

Admittedly we were blessed with the weather at the August bank holiday weekend so we could sit outside our tent and enjoy the fantastic sea views. Rebecca was very friendly and helpful. It’s a great location for walking two days of the SW Coast path. Back to basics amenities were clean and well kept. The hot shower was a little temperamental . We will return 🙂

Amazing quiet spot (except for some noisy sheep!), plenty of space per pitch & lovely sea views. excellent shower and toilet facilities a very short walk away. Picnic bench and fire pit and wood provided. The tent itself was amazing - looked brand new, on a raised deck which kept it dry and clean & chairs to sit and watch the sun rise with a cuppa, comfy warm beds, rugs, blankets, hot water bottles all provided. Cute little “kitchen” hut with a gas hob and kettle and pans and crockery and cool box - everything we needed for a short break was thought of and provided. Great communication with the hosts beforehand as well. Would highly recommend and love to return if we’re in the area again.

5 nights at Surf Pods and Camping at Atlantic Farm
Lovely campsite, the pods look like Tellytubby Land! It's a bit of a walk into Bude probably 40mins but the park and ride is almost opposite the site and very reasonable. We stayed in the Tree House, it was comfy and clean. It has a kettle, microwave, toaster, BBQ and fridge which is so convenient. Would recommend taking your usual cooking kit as there are plates, mugs, bowls and glasses but not pots and pans or stove. I might also take a picnic table if you like to sit in the sun as the seating area is shady. No curtains means you need a sleep mask if you like a dark room but I loved waking up to the sight of a blue sky. Would also recommend a torch for going up and down the steps at night.

I stayed in Gosels as a private pitch and absolutely loved it. The campsite was perfect blend of eco/modern (compostable/flushable toilets and hot showers) within a tranquil setting. I liked how the campsite was used in a traditional sense for escape keeping noise and disturbance down to a minimum. The quarry lake was a great area for a splash around and cool down. Though used heavily by young families, had enough space for all. I already miss my chicken and rabbit friends seen daily on my pitch. The location of the site was perfect for me to make some visits out to North Cornwalls surrounding beaches and beauty spots. Well worth the trip.

Mooie kleine camping op loopafstand van het strand. Wij stonden op plek 7. Heerlijk rustig, geen verkeer of vliegtuigen te horen. De omgeving is een landschap met veel smalle weggetjes met hoge hagen, wandelen kan heel goed langs de kust. Goede pub waar je kunt eten op 7 min rijafstand. Gastvrouw is vriendelijk, kinderen mogen in de tunnelkas spelen. Douche en wc is basic zoals we gewend zijn in Engeland maar prima.

Bij dit terrein past het woord camping niet zo goed. Het voelt meer als wild kamperen met iets meer mensen in de buurt. De eigenaar stelt een enorm terrein beschikbaar om je tent of camper neer te zetten. Veel velden zijn op een helling dus wat minder geschikt. De velden aan de beek zijn vlak en het meest gewild. Toch heb je ontzettend veel ruimte als kampeerder. Het pad is uitdagend en heeft wat kuilen en bulten. De hoger gelegen velden zijn denk ik alleen te bereiken met een 4 wiel aandrijving. Je staat daar dan ook ver weg bij de wc’s.
De eigenaar is een rommelaar, maar wij konden daar wel doorheen kijken. Het erf is nogal rommelig en onderweg naar de velden ligt links ook nog een bult afval. De eigenaar zorgt goed voor zijn dieren. Wij stonden op het veld waar ook een veldje afgezet was voor geitjes. Ze werden iedere ochtend goed verzorgd.
Bij de beek is het prachtig! Er staan hoogspanningsmasten door het terrein maar dat stoorde ons op dag 2 niet meer. Eigenaar is erg vriendelijk. Wc en douche is basic zoals we gewend zijn in Engeland, maar prima. Al met al hebben wij 3 heerlijke dagen gehad op deze wildkampeer camping.
