Come and stay in the beautiful West Sussex countryside, less than an hour from London.
Nestled amongst rolling fields and ancient woodland, Field & Fallow offers the perfect escape. Our peaceful adults only campsite is surrounded by nature, with a lovely woodland, abundant wildlife and space to relax and reconnect.
Created for Glastonbury Festival's fallow year, this new pop-up campsite is designed to bring people together in a friendly setting, welcoming friends, couples and solo travellers alike.
We have a woodland sauna, a communal campfire (acoustic music is encouraged), badminton and table tennis. Please note the sauna is an additional cost- please check our website for costings.
Nearby there are lots of beautiful walks and the Ardingly reservoir offers a range of water sports (8 minute drive). The famous bluebell railway is also within walking distance.
Please be aware there is no mobile service at the campsite, which we see as a good opportunity to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature. There is limited Wifi onsite if necessary.
Sorry as this is a pop-up campsite, caravans aren't accepted on site but campervans and small motorhomes are welcome.

We look forward to welcoming you to Setts Wood Farm and will provide you with all you need for a relaxing and rewarding visit to Tenterden and The Weald.
We offer a selection of bell tents or you can bring your own tent. The camping is set across 2 fields and extends to 12 acres. We have a maximum of 30 tents so it is never crowded.
Come and meet the alpacas, sheep, pigs, goats and horses!
We also have a small fishing lake which guests are welcome to use for a small donation. We restocked last year and there are carp and several species of smaller silver fish. It is ideal for beginners and children. Any children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Setts Wood Farm is perfectly positioned to explore Tenterden and the surrounding villages, and is less than a 20 minute drive to the historic town of Rye, with the beaches of Camber, Dymchurch and Littlestone just a few minutes further.

We are a small, friendly site on a working farm in the beautiful South Downs National Park. We have shepherds huts, bell tents and a land pod in an old sheep paddock, all with private fire pits. I loved the peaceful setting of Cattlestone Farm. Looking out to the meadow in the day and the stars at night. The pitches are so nicely done with lots of space and the freedom to choose a pitch. I really loved the shower and loo setup - individual units with an outdoor-indoor feel. You are protected from the elements but the very top section (above head height) is open, giving lovely airflow and feeling like you’re showering outdoors but with nice hot water. A nice way to start to the day :)
I will definitely be back!

Had a really nice stay at cattlestone farm in our camper, all the facilities were really clean and tidy and overall the campsite had some nice touches like a wild lake, highland cows and pigs. We will definitely be coming back

Beautiful, quiet site with fantastic facilities. We took our campervan and had a generous pitch with a lovely view of the meadow.
The toilets were clean, showers were the best I've ever had on a site . There was a covered, stocked washing up area with compost bins for waste and a freezer to freeze ice packs or borrow some free of charge for your stay.
Donna was helpful,flexible and responded to my messages sent ahead of our stay.
About 30 min easy journey to the coast and some beautiful walks around the area and great country pubs.
Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

Pleasant rural setting with a nice relaxing feel to it. The facilities in the camping field were clean and well kept. We stayed in our motorhome and although there was no electric hook up our solar panel did the trick in terms of power. Our friends stayed in the shepherds hut which was nicely done out and looked very comfortable. The owners were friendly and welcoming.

Lovely site, situated in a meadow surrounded by trees. Nice and flat, washing up area, loos, showers & ice pack recharging provided. Showers and loos perfectly clean & spacious water nice and hot - the best facilities of any small campsite we’ve ever stayed at! lovely hosts and lots of thoughtful little touches like providing trolleys to move your camping gear, nice hand soap, washing up liquid provided etc. Would highly recommend!

When to go
Visiting the Seven Sisters is a popular choice for day-trippers from London, and viewpoints can get crowded in July and August. Make an early start to snag a parking spot or opt for a weekday visit out of season to enjoy the views to yourself. Camping at Seven Sisters Country Park is possible from April through October only, but some campsites within the South Downs National Park stay open year-round.
Know before you go
- The Seven Sisters cliffs are located between Seaford and Eastbourne, along the south coast of Sussex. The main access points are from Seaford to the west, or Birling Gap in the east. Parking is available at both sites.
- There is a Visitor Centre, restrooms, a café, and paid parking at the Seven Sisters Country Park. From the park, it’s a 3-mile walk or drive to reach the cliffs.
- The Seven Sisters Country Park campsite is a walk-in, tent-only ground with toilets, a cold water shower, and drinking water. You’ll need to bring a stove and all other camping gear with you.
- The cliff-top walk is exposed, so wear hiking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Coastal winds can be strong, so you might want a light jumper even in summer, and choose a hat with a neck strap.
- The cliff viewpoint at Birling Gap is wheelchair accessible.
