Say hello to our resident alpacas, sheep, pigs, pigmy goats, flock of 250 sheep and of course our lovely boarder collies.
We aim to be a very relaxed spot to be able to rest for a few nights and maybe enjoying a nice camp fire in the evening.

To ensure everyone’s enjoyment and safety, please follow these rules:
Supervise children: Always supervise your children and ensure they do not wander off alone.
Clean up after yourself: Dispose of all waste properly in the designated bins and leave no trace behind. Wash any items you use and return them to where you found them.
Respect other campers: Be courteous to fellow campers and respect their privacy and space.
Pets: If you bring pets, ensure they are well-behaved, kept on a leash or have impeccable recall, and cleaned up after. Do not allow your pet to enter another camper's space.
Quiet time: Maintain quiet hours between 11pm and 7am. All music must stop by 10pm, and noise should be minimal after 11pm.
Campfires: Penn Meadow Farm allows fires; please use existing scorched areas if possible rather than creating new ones. Never leave any fires unattended and ensure they are completely extinguished when finished. Wipe your feet prior to entering the Bell tents to remove any coal that may have become attached.
Cars/vehicles: Cars and vehicles can be on the field but should move minimally and always under 5mph. Car stereos should not be used for music entertainment.
Drugs and Alcohol: Drug use is prohibited, and violators will be asked to leave. Consume alcohol responsibly, and do not drive or move your vehicle after consuming alcohol.
We do not typically book Large non-family groups unless they are seeking a calm and peaceful stay. These groups must have authorization prior to the visit.

When it’s a ‘proper’ Suffolk wild-camping adventure you’re after, have a look at Lions Row, a spacious back‑to‑basics site on a working farm just outside Ufford. It’s completely surrounded by countryside, but only a handy five minutes’ drive from the pubs, takeaways and shops in Wickham Market.
You'll park at the edge of a three-acre meadow and walk around 50–250 yards to the pitches, which are mown into the long grass. It’s a clever spot for families as it’s a mile from the nearest road, making it quiet and safe for kids to roam freely without any danger from traffic.
As this is wild camping, facilities are minimal: drinking water, a simple washing-up sink, compost loos and basic gas-heated outdoor showers are your lot. However, you’ll wake up to birdsong every morning and go to sleep by starlight on clear nights; just remember to bring torches and batteries for after-dark wanderings.
The views are peaceful and rural, and the field is bordered by deciduous woodland – great for exercising any four-legged pals – criss-crossed with footpaths leading to country pubs (there are four within half an hour’s walk). It’s also close to heritage attractions such as Sutton Hoo (10 minutes’ drive).

My partner and I went camping here for 2 nights (Fri-sun) with our 3 dogs (2 off leash). The staff are soo amazing and attentive! There’s so much space and all of the other campers we met were soo kind and respectful. The kitchen is well maintained. The shower/toilet was clean and I had hot water for my shower. It was so amazing to just have a peaceful weekend away from the world. Before we even left we started planning our next trip back! 10/10 experience

The facilities are excellent, the on site gas stove is something more campsites should have!
Excellent showers and loos.
The only slightly negative is the presence of farm dogs who seemingly have free rein over the site. Those who dislike being “investigated” by dogs may want to bear this in mind. Also be aware of the odd dog poo on the ground.

What a jolly campsite. We loved it. Super Host- very welcoming. Really happy place. Coffee and pizza truck for the weekend. We loved exploring the woods, the goats, the dogs etc. also really perfect to have earthen fire pits dotted around. We really enjoyed that into the evening.

This was our first trip in our new camper van and my first ever proper camping experience. It could not have been lovelier, surrounded by wild flower meadows, butterflies, bees and a proud black bird we had the most perfect stay. The campsite is so well maintained, friendly and in a fab location, we would not hesitate to recommend and will most definitely be back.

It’s very nice camping site with very good facilities. It was lovely to see farm animals and walk to the pub between them. Only negative thing was cars. There were many cars in the camp area. This made the beautiful view a bit less beautiful.

Great campsite, well managed, with friendly farm dogs, sheep and goats living on-site who will come to say hello! I had a lovely morning playing fetch with the dogs, Bob is especially friendly - there's spots to have campsite fires, and there's a kitchen with fridge, kettle and gas hob which you can use - shower was warm all night, toilets are porcelain flush toilets a rare treat on a campsite, could have all been a little cleaner but this is a campsite not the Garrick on Mayfair! The majority of the site is on a slope, so you'll need blocks to level your caravan and if you're camping in a tent you'll just need to be mindful which direction you pitch your tent - it's a short walk from the site (15 minutes, through lovely wooded trails) to supposedly the oldest public house in Britain 'The Royal Standard of England', I didn't eat there but the beer was excellent. Access to the site is via a steep gravel road and there isn't any trackway down so again be mindful driving onto site. I paid £25 for tent camping for 1 adult so on the expensive end of camping but I felt like I had my money's worth and would love to camp here again in future - well done Penn Meadow Farm Camping
