In addition to our cozy cabin we also offer a stay in the bunk house attached to the barn. This space offers 3 rooms, a wood stove, microwave, 2 queen beds and 2 twin bed, a spacious living room and dining area. The bunk house is on the lower part of the pond, making it more accessible as parking is right at the door. There are private camp sites for guests who prefer to pitch a tent or park their van or RV. There's a portable toilet on site seasonally for guests staying on the lower half of the farm. We can accommodated small respectful groups of campers looking for a quiet stay in nature. We currently have a one-room, wood stove warmed, cozy sleeping loft for one or two - with two benches below on either side of room - for two sleeping bags; plus, a separate 22 foot Sioux tipi with two cots. There are two chairs in the tipi, which if removed at night, make floor room for four other sleeping bags. 'Forest Bathing' for miles! If you're a larger group booking Salamander Hollow main camp with its Sleeping Library, Tipi & Slovenian Beehive House, you might consider renting this additional Tiny Cabin want to entertain all in glamping style, utilizing its amenities; as well, providing another bathroom/shower and guest bedroom for those who prefer being indoors while in the great outdoors. Note that Kula Bata Tiny Cabin abuts the wheelchair accessible larger bathroom/shower which is available to those at the Salamander Hollow main camp, yet you are secluded with your own private entry points and private bathroom. A ten minute drive takes you to the parking area to hike up Tully Mountain. There is a grill, wood fired pizza oven, two fire pits and a hygienic Incinolet electric toilet on the property for night convenience, with small camp sinks for washing & teeth brushing. Take a short hike off the property to organic Chase Hill Farm for milk, eggs, seasonal veggies, grass fed meat and other goodies. Say hello to their cows, chickens, pigs, goats, pups and kids. Nestled across the road from Salamander Hollow is Timber Haven Farm, where you can schedule your pickup of bacon and eggs, while loading up on delicious Owl Energy Bars for your adventurous excursions. For those interested in the glamping side of camping, you will enjoy a remote rustic experience with a few creature comforts to keep you well read, clean and fed. Please bring your own bedding - pillows, sleeping bags, comforter, teddy bears.There is a wall mounted blue tooth car radio/CD player in Sleeping Library, so bring your pre-digital favorites. What a beautiful spot — with a breathtaking view. Very quiet, and a perfect place to write. Watched a bluebird hunt insects right outside my window. Then I woke up early to listen to the dawn birdsong, one of those things I’d always wanted to do, Wood thrushes and hermit thrushes among the many singers — those are my absolute favorites. Weekend Trip to Wapack Trail Cabin

I had a great experience at Jon's cabin. Jon was very responsive to any messages, and gave my dog and I a very warm welcome when we arrived. The cabin itself is clean and spacious, the bed quite comfortable, and the wood stove effective and easy to use for both cooking and heating. The final stretch of road from Jon's home to the cabin will only work for cars with good ground clearance, but if you don't have that it's a pretty short walk from the driveway. The Wapack trail is, quite literally, right outside the cabin door, along with easy walking access to several other hiking trails. My dog and I were able to complete a very fun 5 mile hike without having to drive anywhere, and it could've easily extended to another 3-5 miles for anyone with more ambitious hiking preferences. The cabin has electricity, several options for lighting, a space heater to complement the wood stove, and plenty of little games/activities sprinkled around the cabin for you to enjoy. Though an easy walk from Jon's house, the cabin is quite private. I'll definitely be staying here again in the future!

We had a lovely relaxing getaway. Quiet mornings on the back porch sipping coffee while our 16 month old wandered around - following the dog. We would forest bath/hike in the afternoons & enjoy sessions in the sauna while baby naps. Fires & wine warmed us as we reflected about our days under the moon lit sky. This place is so cozy and are grateful for our time spent here.

We had such an amazing stay at Tully Island! It was the perfect little escape to unplug and just be present. We brought our girls and spent our days out on the boat, cooking over the fire, and just enjoying the quiet and nature. It was so peaceful and exactly what we needed. Mary was such a wonderful host so kind, responsive, and thoughtful. You can tell she really cares about the experience of her guests. We’re so grateful for the memories we made here and would absolutely come back again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Weekend Trip to Wapack Trail Cabin

This cabin was great! I’m the first to review so I will try and be thorough. 1st - the cabin is much bigger than it looks in the pictures. 2nd - the area is beautiful and quiet. Jon (owner) greeted us and answered all our questions and told us about the area and the trails adjacent to the cabin. He and his wife have two friendly pups so be sure to say hello. There is power, a heater, fan and a wood stove which you can cook on. We also brought a propane burner to use outside. There was a supply of plates, cups, etc for our use. There is an electric kettle and coffee, tea, etc which made the morning wake up much quicker and warmer (April) than lighting up the propane stove outside! There were lovely flowers by the front door and so nice to see as the leaves had not budded yet. The fire pit was nice with comfy chairs. The back window opens for a nice cross breeze. We spent an afternoon hiking trails from the cabin. There is a great one that follows a beautiful brook. There are miles of trails. They supply a portable toilet if the outhouse isn’t your thing. Only thing of note: We were able to drive to the cabin but after it rains the drive onto the property is a bit muddy (dirt road) - a low car may want to park and walk up. The owner lives just down the road if you need anything. Lastly - we had Verizon and AT&T cell service.

Great space and place to hang out, make pizzas in the outdoor oven, and have a fire in the tipi. That was very cool. Sleeping is a little tough, on the narrow sides with pads in the salamander cabin. Couldn’t really tell in the photos, but if you have a camping air mattress, would good to bring it

Mary’s cabin on Tully pond was perfect for a spring break getaway with my girlfriend!! We enjoyed campfires and cooking on the grill and the sounds of the birds. Beautiful views including hiking nearby! Amenities were the perfect amount for a very comfortable experience. We both felt truly happy and enjoyed our stay greatly. Highly, highly recommended.

Mary's cabin was beautiful and very comfortable. Well equipped but not excessive, kitchen was great to cook & eat in, sauna is amazing. There are nice books. It is a very peaceful place, with a very nice farm shop in walking distance, countless hiking trails around- at the same time the cabin is so comfortable I was tempted to stay in all day. And Mary is such a wonderful host.

Infared sauna, fire pit, and woods- oh my! Soft lighting and spa music greet you as you walk in the door and a personal note wishing you a blissful stay. Mary the host is so thoughtful and the cabin is welcoming. You can't go wrong with this cabin.

Weekend Trip to Winimusett Brook Farm Retreat

Misty's gem of a cabin is quietly secluded on a hill within a beautiful farm estate with plenty of walking trails. The roughly 18x12' cabin uses solar lights with battery backup and the battery still has juice after 2 full days of heavy use in the cloudy / rainy weather. The battery supplies both standard wall outlets and phone charger ports, although I'd recommend using it primarily for just lighting and portable electronics (electric tea kettles etc will drain it significantly faster.) Potable water is provided with an electric tap along with cookware and an adorable retro propane oven + cook top. The wood stove is large and keeps the place warm on a few bundles of wood. I prestocked it before bed and didn't have to feed it at all during the night, a first in all my tiny cabin stays! It was overcast and a bit chilly outside during my stay (40F) but you wouldn't know that from inside after a few minutes with the fire going. Misty was very responsive on my arrival as the cabin isn't 100% visible from the parking area, but I found it no problem (I recommend arriving with some daylight though if you can.) A pull cart is provided but the hill is a bit steep if you're towing luggage but it's very manageable for able-bodied folk. Just take 2 trips instead of overfilling it to prevent tipping if needed. My dog and I found the stay very relaxing. I fell asleep on the comfy couch with my pup reading a book in front of the fire for both nights of our stay. 10/10
