Come and enjoy camping in the countryside in the Creuse. Our campsite offers four glamping tents, one off grid tent and three places where you can camp with your own caravan, camper or tent. The grounds are 14 acres, largely consisting of field, wildflowers, fruit trees and vegetable garden. We have created walking paths all over the site and beautiful seating areas where you can enjoy the view. A lovely swimming pond, playing field and play barn provide entertainment for the whole family. For example, there is a football field, badminton field and table tennis. For the smaller children there is a swing and various push bikes. We organize cozy bbq and campfire evenings. There are sheep (behind the fence), chickens, two dogs and two cats on the property and of course a variety of wildlife.

Here at the Moulin du Pommier a warm welcome awaits. We are an Adults Only campsite set in more than eight hectares of gorgeous, out-of-the-way Charente countryside five minutes’ drive from the sleepy village of Saulgond. In fact it’s so peaceful here that you’ll probably never want to leave. The rippling waterfall and lush green land offers the peace and rest that we crave. Walk around the lake and follow all the woodland trails about the place. Biking trails are for exploring (walking maps are available ), as well as legions of historic towns waiting to be explored, or you can simply relax and chill around the pool area. All your catering needs are sorted, what with the on-site restaurant offering tip-top homemade food and weekly pizza nights. Going down the self-catering route? You’re covered there too, with all the basics available from the on-site shop. In case you need a bigger stock up, the nearest supermarkets are found in Confolens (15 minutes’ drive). This rural region offers a blend of farmland, woodland, lakes and rivers with plenty of camping and glamping sites tucked among them. With the Loire Valley to the north and the Dordogne to the south west, it’s all too easy to overlook Limousin but it’s a fantastic place to base yourself – away from the crowds, in one of the least densely populated parts of the country. During a stay here you can easily visit the famous sites of neighbouring regions or discover Limousin’s own lesser-known treasures. Among them you’ll find turreted châteaux, fortified towns, pretty villages and protected natural parks, not to mention some of our favourite French campsites.
