The children will have a great time with the animals, playground equipment and the swimming pool, while the area offers many opportunities for relaxation and adventure. So you can fully enjoy your well-deserved vacation.
For a relaxing afternoon or evening, you are welcome on the terrace of our restaurant, where you can enjoy a snack and a drink. We serve delicious meals several times a week, prepared with fresh, local ingredients. We also offer take-away meals, such as freshly roasted chicken, for guests who prefer to eat in their own place. In addition, there is a convenient bread service, so you can enjoy fresh bread every morning without leaving the campsite.

Here at the Moulin du Pommier a warm welcome awaits. Set in more than eight hectares of gorgeous, out-of-the-way Charente countryside five minutes’ drive from the sleepy village of Saulgond. In fact it’s so peaceful here that you’ll probably never want to leave. The rippling waterfall and lush green land offers the peace and rest that we crave. Walk around the lake and follow all the woodland trails about the place. Biking trails are for exploring (walking maps are available ), as well as legions of historic towns waiting to be explored, or you can simply relax and chill around the pool area.
All your catering needs are sorted, what with the on-site restaurant offering tip-top homemade food and weekly pizza nights.The nearest supermarkets are found in Confolens (15 minutes’ drive).

Don't rely on the bar to provide food...they had nothing on our visit.

Beautiful site with wonderful hosts. Hummingbird moths, cows and we heard a tawny owl. We only stayed 1 night but you could relax here for days.

The campsite owners Chris and Jen are amazing, they go out of their way to help people and make sure they have a great stay. They are a hardworking couple and made the campsite and gites beautiful with excellent and very clean facilities. The swimming pool is great with shaded options,the atmosphere is very relaxed.Jen and Chris are always at hand if anything is needed from quiche to coffee to croissants or ice cream, which is amazing,just ring the bell! Everything you could wish for is thought of, ie cards on a table if you want to play cards under cover with a view if it rains ( it never long does if it does), fishing rods if you wish to fish in their lake, matches if you wish to make a cuppa in their barn kitchen even washing up liquid and clean brushes are there and a washing machine. We’ve had a very comfortable stay and our car broke down whilst here so Chris drove us all the way to the airport in Limoges to pick up our daughter and stopped at a supermarket on the way back so we could get some food as there’s little to no public transport here, and taxis are extortionately priced. You do hear the road from time to time but that’s nothing, compared to the sheer hospitality on offer, there’s a beautiful and peaceful forest and lake and the tipi and lotus bell tent are beautiful, there’s even a little glamping kitchen in the woods! Thanks J&C, for looking after us so well we had a super comfortable stay and for helping us out big time, during a tricky time for us!

Very friendly staff- very welcoming- including the beautiful dogs . Pool looked lovely but it didn’t get warm enough to use it. Shower was great! We had the camping field to ourselves. Lovely walk along the river to the neighbouring village.
