In this place of nature you will find remains of the old water mill which now hosts the reception. The landscape is marked by the rich historical past of the Cévennes with its agricultural terraces. The camp is located on a large meadow, at the time fitted out for the exploitation of coal but which has never been used, linked to the end of the mining period. Before welcoming you, this meadow was used for grazing sheep!!!

All your catering needs are sorted, what with the on-site restaurant offering tip-top homemade food and weekly pizza nights.The nearest supermarkets are found in Confolens (15 minutes’ drive).

Overall, we spent a nice couple of days here. It's very close to Montreuil-Belay with good restaurants and a chateau that's well worth a visit. The pool and bar area are a good addition and there's plenty of space to pitch, but if you need hook up there's not a lot of shade. Wash block could do with some TLC, but clean. Good as a stopover.

The campsite owners Chris and Jen are amazing, they go out of their way to help people and make sure they have a great stay. They are a hardworking couple and made the campsite and gites beautiful with excellent and very clean facilities. The swimming pool is great with shaded options,the atmosphere is very relaxed.Jen and Chris are always at hand if anything is needed from quiche to coffee to croissants or ice cream, which is amazing,just ring the bell! Everything you could wish for is thought of, ie cards on a table if you want to play cards under cover with a view if it rains ( it never long does if it does), fishing rods if you wish to fish in their lake, matches if you wish to make a cuppa in their barn kitchen even washing up liquid and clean brushes are there and a washing machine. We’ve had a very comfortable stay and our car broke down whilst here so Chris drove us all the way to the airport in Limoges to pick up our daughter and stopped at a supermarket on the way back so we could get some food as there’s little to no public transport here, and taxis are extortionately priced. You do hear the road from time to time but that’s nothing, compared to the sheer hospitality on offer, there’s a beautiful and peaceful forest and lake and the tipi and lotus bell tent are beautiful, there’s even a little glamping kitchen in the woods! Thanks J&C, for looking after us so well we had a super comfortable stay and for helping us out big time, during a tricky time for us!

Nadia’s place is spacious and peaceful and where me and my husband got one of the best night’s sleep on our whole holiday in France. The facilities are basic but they are clean and provided what we needed. We sadly didn’t visit the bar but had a lovely walk into Montreuil for the afternoon for cake and wine.

We had an absolutely lovely time enjoying nature, the lovely clean pool & Nadias hospitality.
Lovely poolside cafe.
We were able to choose our pitch near the river, far from everyone, enjoying birdsong & the stars.
Wash blocks are a little old, but we’re kept clean, stocked with loo roll & lovely hot showers all day ( no button, hand held).

We had an amazing stay at Cassie and Gary’s place. Would really recommend to stay here if you want an different experience in a very calm place. We had an amazing stay in the Auvergne Naturelle. Kathryn and Robert are fantastic, warm, open people, and the place is just magic, hidden in Auvergne's wild nature but also with many options to do on the spot and a bit further around. I got so involved in making a wooden spoon from an apple tree branch that I am planning to continue the new woodworking hobby after the holidays, thanks to Rob. Moreover, we had a lot of great interactions with other guests - in some magic way, a lot of interesting and nice people get there:). Our 6-year-old son also had a lot of fun, especially with making a bow and swimming in their natural pool. Other details that made my days there: fresh breakfasts with delicious, the most buttery croissants I have ever had, starry nights, morning showers in the rising sun, comfortable and huge bed, campfire every night. I am just grateful I have found this place!
