We are a small, independently run campsite nestled among the vineyards, walnut groves, cornfields, and sunflower fields of Montmérac. Our campsite offers a unique escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We provide a peaceful retreat for lovers of traditional camping, vintage style, and nature. Calm and serenity are guaranteed in a simple, natural setting. Our spacious grass pitches, shaded by mature trees and equipped with electricity, provide the perfect setting for your outdoor adventure. Whether you arrive with a tent, caravan, or camper van, we aim to make your stay as comfortable as it is memorable. For those seeking extra comfort, our mobile home and gîte offer a cozy retreat in the heart of the beautiful Charente region. Conveniently located about 10 km from the N10 (approximately 15 minutes), Camping Chez Philipaud is easy to reach. You're welcome to stay overnight on your journey south to Bordeaux or Spain, or spend a few days discovering the delights of the Charente. We're just a 40-minute drive from Angoulême, making the campsite an ideal base for exploring the broader region. Whether you're looking to relax or explore, our campsite offers the perfect base for discovering the charming landscapes of the Charente and nearby towns and attractions.

There are a variety of grassy pitches available on the site both in the sun and partially shaded. If you prefer to have the option of an electric hook-up, this can also be provided for you. The shower and toilet block has two showers and three unisex toilets. There is a swimming pool open from May to October (weather dependent) that can be used by campers. We have a shaded patio area for guests to use which is ideally located next the reception. In the reception, there are a variety of leaflets showing things to do in the area and maps.

Camping Chez Philipaud Mobile Home

The Mobile Home is located on the small and peaceful campsite 'Camping Chez Philipaud'. The spacious mobile home has a fully equipped kitchen with a small oven, gas hob, fridge freezer, kettle, coffee machine and microwave. All utensils, glasses and crockery are provided. In the open-plan living area, there is a dining area next to the kitchen. The sofa bed can be easily pulled out and used to accommodate 2 extra guests. For your entertainment there is a tv with dvd player. The master bedroom has a double bed and separate bathroom with toilet and sink. There are lots of wardrobes and cupboards for storage. The hallway leads to a smaller bedroom with bunkbeds (suitable for children) and a bathroom with toilet, sink and hot-water shower. Outside, there is a terrace patio area with a table and chairs for alfresco eating. We also provide a BBQ for guests to use upon request. The terrace overlooks the campsite. All bedding and towels are provided for your stay. The pool area is shared with guests staying on the campsite. Parking for your vehicle is next to the Mobile Home.

Le Fenil Gite

Le Fenil Gite is located on the small and peaceful Campsite 'Camping Chez Philipaud'. Although situated on a campsite, it is discretely located with its own private patio area and views. The gite has one double bedroom, bathroom with shower and open-plan living, dining and kitchen space. In the living room area, there is a small sofabed (120cm wide) that can be used for 1 adult or 2 children. The kitchen area is equipped with a hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, kettle and coffee maker. All utensils, glasses and crockery are provided in the kitchen. Outside, there is a private patio area with a table and chairs for alfresco eating. We provide all bedding and towels for your convenience so that you can look forward to a comfortable and hassle-free stay. The pool area is shared by guests staying on the campsite.
