Absolutely gorgeous!!! The best camping site I stayed at on my trip over to Tennessee from New Mexico, would recommend to anyone. Had a wonderful, quiet night and the ground was super comfortable for tent camping. I hopefully will be making my way back at some point on my way back across the country and am very excited for it!!!

First solo trip and it could not have gone more smoothly! Russ was great and gave me clear instructions on how to get to the camp and responded to any questions and concerns quickly. Sites were easy to find (even in the dark) will definitely be booking another trip in the future. Thanks again!

I stayed at the landing charmed by the images of the tumble-down cow barn at site one and booked to stay there for a night. I got there before dark and the beauty of the spot definitely met my expectations. Picturesque with some road noise at it is some hundreds of feet off state hwy 333 which is quite well-traveled. I am not bothered by road noise so I did not find it to be a problem. I pre-ordered firewood and it was already delivered when I arrived and I set up for the evening. Long about dusk a dog showed up at the edge of camp and was barking it's head off at me. I ignored it at first assuming it's owner would hear it barking and call it home. This was not to be the case. It stood there and barked at me for a good half hour and when it started to approach my camp I chased it off with some "GIT HOME" and it ran off to bark on and on for another half hour or more in the distance. After a while, it quieted down. I was enjoying the fire and the stars when unbeknownst to me it had crept back up to the edge of camp and when I got up to get something from the car it started barking at me again. I contacted Russ and he said it is the country and that it was a neighbor's dog who he could not get them to leash and if it came back to throw a rock at it to scare it away, and unfortunately there was nothing he could do about it. Gratefully I am not afraid of dogs and I chased it off (not by throwing rocks) and eventually it stopped barking and I had a peaceful evening. If you are in camp 1 or 2 this dog will be a problem. If you do not like or are afraid of dogs, this dog will be a problem. Other than that it was a beautiful spot and I felt quite safe.

The landing was a perfect place to camp on our way across the country. Simple well kept drive in spots well spaced out for privacy although we had the place to ourselves. Safe and cozy … Not one piece of litter on site which is nice to see. We stayed on site 5 and the sunrise over the ridge behind us was beautiful. Great communication from host would definitely stay here again when in Arkansas.

We had a great stay here on our way across the country. The meadow is beautiful in the early morning and our dog loved running around. It was easy to find with Russ' instructions and he was very communicative. The stars at night were so clear too :)

It was great except being woken up to a loud buckshot at 4am. I freaked out and hightailed it out of there. I was wearing earplugs so it had to have been close. Not sure if that is the host's fault.

The Landing is exactly what I envisioned Hipcamping should entail. There are seven sites, some more rustic than others but all are easily accessible and apart from distant highway noise absolutely private. We were the only campers there when we stayed. Russell provides a clean Portalet but further you are on your own. Each site has a fire ring but during our stay I would not risk starting a fire because of the drought.

Good spot for those travelling along the interstate. Nice sites tucked into the trees. Picked off lots of ticks during our high-summer stay, plus plenty of poison ivy around (more frequent mowing, or avoiding the high-summer camping season at this site would help here). Not having the toilet as described was a bit of a let-down for us tent-campers.

Site was conveniently located for my stop over in route to the Ozarks. I never met the host nor communicated directly with him but the written directions were very helpful. Site was clean, spacious, and felt private .

This campsite is amazing!!! It felt like my own private, primitive escape. Site #5 had perfect trees to string my hammock, and Russ was very responsive and welcoming so I knew just where to go. The location is SUPER easy access to Mt. Nebo State Park & the town of Russellville, but far enough away to be quiet & secluded out in nature. Will definitely be coming back!!

Highly recommend this campground! Very beautiful land, tucked away for a wonderful private camping experience. The sites are very well spread out, as well. Host is very responsive and helpful! Will definitely be back! :)

This was a great site! It was exactly as described, and nice and quiet. There were other sites and campers there, but they were far away and we didn’t see or hear them. We paid a little extra for firewood and it was waiting for us at the campsite. The only down side was that the ground wasn’t totally level, which we had expected and had brought leveling blocks for our RV, so it was fine (I don’t think anyone would notice the slight incline if in a tent). As a bonus we saw deer at dawn! Good communication by the host who helpfully put out a sign by the road (otherwise the entrance would be easy to miss). I would stay here again and recommend to others.

My first hipcamp experience and was by far exceeded! Ed was very hospitable and the site was really peaceful. I enjoyed my time in Petit Jean getting to know some folks around town and exploring the gems of this small town. Sticking around for Saturday’s farmers market is a must. Also, ask Ed about the Petit Jean Hot Air Balloon Flight! I learned so much on my stay I can’t wait to go back.

Perfect little hideaway with 7 ready to camp spots. We had a little trouble figuring out the entrance, but Russ was terrific and answered our text immediately. I wish we’d had another day or two to relax there.
