This 3.5 acres of woodlot, situated in "Cottage Country" Nova Scotia is home to my canvas wall tent and a couple of sites for pitching tents. The tent is cozy and has a woodstove for 4 season enjoyment, mattresses for single or double bed configuration. This is part of "Cottage Country" and there are plenty of trails to hike or ski. There is lake access, but it isn't a great lake for swimming.

Our first Hipcamp experience, Chantelle and Gary have set the bar SO high!! Thank you for allowing us to experience Nova Scotia for the first time from this tranquil and beautifully styled cabin in the woods. Your eye for detail is incredible and clearly no detail has been spared. We’ll be thinking about that stunning breakfast until we (hopefully) are back enjoying it again in the future!

Beautiful property with cozy 70’s vibes, lots of thoughtful touches throughout the space. Chantelle baked cookies which my partner loved. Great communication. And her husband escorted us through the dark(we arrived late) to the cabin! Wish we could stay longer!

Beautiful spot! Just a short walk from the car to the camp site. The tent was equipped with a full size camping mattress and very sweet fairy lights. We appreciated the fire pit, picnic table, and Adirondack chairs!

Had an amazing stay at this beautiful campsite! 🌿🏕️ The hosts were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and cooperative, which made the whole experience even more special. The peaceful river flowing nearby, lush greenery, and cozy tent created the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. The fire pit was definitely a highlight — sitting by the fire and enjoying the beautiful surroundings was such a memorable experience. 🔥✨ A wonderful place to reconnect with nature and enjoy some peaceful time away from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommended! ❤️

Weekend Trip to Bootsie's

Relaxing clean and comfortable! We arrived at dusk and had a little bit of a struggle walking our stuff to the cabin. Other than that it was wonderful. I had a chance to see the Emu on our way out the next day. We had a fire and watched meteor showers. I highly recommend it although it was at least 100 yards from our parking spot.

Second time here and feels like a home away from home. Such a cute cozy cottage to escape the world in. The weather wasn’t the greatest but with recommendations for places to cool off and a lovely rain water shower, we kept most of the heat away. Would suggest this as the perfect get away for anyone looking to explore annapolis royal or just get away from the business of day to day life! 💕

Moss Cottage is a beautiful place nestled in the woods and surrounded by nature. The building itself is constructed perfectly and paired with the most fantastic decor that is like something out of a vintage dream. Every detail has been carefully thought out and you will find everything you need including things you didn't even know you needed. What could be better? How about two incredible hosts! Chantelle and Gary are great and made sure I needed nothing more to completely enjoy my stay. Turn up, unplug, unwind! Glamping at its finest.

2 nights at Old Mill Camp

This was a fantastic camp site! It rained off and on our entire trip but this was still probably one of the best camp trips we have been on. The water on the river is very clear , warm, shallow and slow running enough to be safe for the kiddos to play in but still active enough to not have to worry over blue green algea. The view is stunning and the area is super quiet. Was super relaxing at night falling asleep listening to the water going down river. Its not a crazy bumpy backwoods drive to the campsite like getting to many other off grid camp sites can be. The site is just like the picture. Tent was big enough for all our gear and the 3 of us plus our dog comfortably. The bed was very comfortable and tent was in great conditions. Super relaxing to get on site and already have seats and a tent set up with bed in it . Bonus being there was actually a camp light and string of christmas lights in the tent for us to use. Couldnt have asked for a more beautiful and well set up camp site to spend the weekend and the tree coverage was pretty decent too which helped break up the rain a little. 10/10 would reccomend to anyone looking for off grid camping without the hassle of lugging excessive gear. I definitely would go back in a heartbeat. The memories my family made this weekend will last a lifetime. My kids actually said this was the most fun camp trip yet even over other cabin trips made and I 100% agree. Book the site! you wont be dissapointed folks! 😊😊

This is the best stay I have ever experienced! Chantelle has created such a fun and groovy atmosphere! Every little detail has been thought of from Q-tips to games and more! The bed was extremely comfy! The homemade cookies waiting for us upon arrival was such a welcoming touch! Being surrounded by nature was so peaceful while still having the comforts of home. The design of the home was amazing with the screened in porch and we loved staring out the gorgeous window view. I highly highly recommend adding on the breakfast! Chantelle hand delivered the most delicious breakfast in the morning! The quiche were out of this world and all the local fresh fruit topped with flowers from their garden was just the perfect touch to this stay!

Weekend Trip to Old Mill Camp

We had the best time staying at Old Mill Camp with our reactive dog. The site is perfect, the river is beautiful and it was so quiet and peaceful. We only saw a couple of other people all weekend and they were quite far down the river. We fished, we swam, we floated and we relaxed. It was an amazing place to unplug and unwind. We can’t wait to go back.

I had a fantastic time camping on Brad’s land! The river is gorgeous, and I really felt immersed in nature. I came mainly to fish and was able to spend plenty of quiet time out on the water. I even saw a bald eagle and beaver! The anmenities are great, and it strikes the ideal balance between comfort and feeling remote.

Perfect, Quiet, peaceful Forest cottage. All the little things that made it perfect. Highlights: screened in porch (morning coffees were the best), hospitality was amazing, special breakfast add on was so lovely and delicious! A must have! We had our own very private space but also felt comfortable and welcome to sit, chat and have a drink with the hosts. Can’t wait to come back again!

This place was amazing. From the moment you drive in the driveway you instantly know that you will be able to disconnect and unwind. The hosts, Gary and Chantelle, along with their fur baby, Fern, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. They were very friendly and kind! The location itself was wonderfully situated in the forest. The screened in porch allowed for an immersive forest experience from dawn to dusk. The place has everything you need! BREAKFAST!!!! Oh My Goodness! Chantelle is a gifted cook/baker and you can tell! Our breakfast (delivered to our door) was money well spent! It was amazing! I will be returning to this place again and again. I can't rave about it enough!
