Dogs and horses and a donkey oh my!
Easy to find great location off of the highway. Loved being surrounded by horses and even a friendly donkey. Water was frozen and couldn’t find the toilet but if your self contained it’s no problem. Would stay again!

Peaceful, easy feeling.
Can't begin to explain how beautiful it is here! Tall mountains surrounding a lush green valley filled with horses! Directions were precise and easy to follow and the RV area is easily navigatable.

Perfect stopover
Perfect place for a quiet stopover on my way to Zion. No interaction with the host, just pull into the designated area near horse stables. Quiet, scenic, and private (I was the only one there anyway).

This spot was PERFCET for us. We don't like RV parks. The hassle of checking in and out and other people and their issues. Matt's place was so easy. Just off the freeway, right near a gas station and coffee. We pulled in following his directions, unhitched, fed our dogs, went to dinner, returned, slept, left. Never even saw a person. So, so, so easy. We had spectacular mountains views and curious horses and a friendly wave from a neighbor. Be aware there was a speed trap on the small stretch between the freeway and his place. Don't go over 35. I think this place is a bargain and Matt should charge more, by the way. Highly recommend! Thanks, Matt!

We were grateful for a safe spot to stay the night at the start of a couple of week road trip in our 19 foot long Sprinter van. The site has to die for views of the mountains for sure. However, the spot identified by the host to park had at least six horse trailers already stored there which would have made it pretty tight quarters. We ended up pulling up to a spot nearby—with the hosts permission —and that worked for us. It might be a bit pricey for the offering so that is why I cannot give it a full throttle endorsement.

Good place for overnight stop. Quiet. Easy off of I15. Maverick Gas station en route to Matt's place is handy for fueling with separate rv lanes.

Nice stop. Easy in and out. I wouldn’t consider it a “hang out” location but certainly great for an easy night on the road.

Fly ridden
If you don’t have a completely enclosed RV, don’t bother, the flies were awful. There didn’t seem to be any actual camping sites either, just a gravelly area with weeds and trailer storage. Sorry Matt, I wanted to like it!

The horse ranch was a surprise good change from both the urban RV parks and backcountry camps we set throughout the week.

Great stay! Recommend!
Beautiful view of the Wasatch mountains! Very quiet and safe. Thoroughly enjoyed our short time there. The staff welcomed us as soon as they returned. We got permission to pet a horse, it’s colt and a puppy! This is a working farm with, horse trailers that come and go, farm equipment and customers. We enjoyed seeing a horse exercised (or trained, or both) as we packed up. HipCamp showed us 3 locations we could reserve but after our reservation was accepted I couldn’t find that page/image again. We were a little confused but it worked out.

Easy to find and extremely convenient location to highway, gas, dump station at Maverick down the road. Beautiful scenery and horses. Arrived at night so not easy to find our spot (much closer than the 400 yds indicated in the directions and no markings that we saw for our reserved #2 spot). Also we did not see the potable water. Perhaps a bit pricey for just parking overnight without hookups but we did just fine. Very quiet.

The site was well-maintained, the view was great, the porta-pot was clean, and our request was accepted quickly. The instructions for the site were not helpful (e.g. referring to compass directions isn't helpful when you're not familiar with the area), and there was no signage or other indication of where the Hipcamp sites were. The host was not even a little friendly. As another guest wrote in a review, I'm not expecting a five-start treatment, but he acted like I was some sort of burden by interacting with him at all. Due to what we both believe was a Hipcamp error, I was under the impression that this was a tent site. I understand if host wants RVs only, and I do appreciate that he let us stay anyway, but he acted like I was deliberately there to make his life difficult.

Rude host
First impression was bad due to host Matt being exceedingly rude to us and talking down previous guests from California. There was no fresh water, only irrigation water for our use. There was a porta potty at the stable but not in area used for parking RV. This was not an upscale facility, the stable was nice but nothing else was upscale at all. Good location but horses, goats, chickens and a very loud rooster made for an interesting night. We love animals but it was rather loud in the back of the facility where we were instructed to park. We would not recommend mostly due to host attitude. It was a horrible impression.

It was a beautiful area and lots of space. Matt didn't seem to know that we were coming and only said a couple of words to us. Unfortunately, the neighbors decided to run a weed wacker about 30 yards from our camper from 5:00-8:30 which made our dinner and evening time less enjoyable. I will say that the porta-potty was the cleanest one I have ever seen.

Convenient location
Very convenient stay off the 84 for a quick nights stay. I expected it to be a little more off the main part of the ranch but you are in a parking lot surrounded by fenced off areas for horses. Upon arrival there wasn’t any designated spot for the hipcamp area and I talked to some people that were boarding their horses at the ranch that had no idea what I was talking about. The view of the range was beautiful and the horses were fun to watch. My expectations were different but like I said it was close to the highway and we felt super safe.

Did not stay, got partial refund.
Admitedly hasty reservation led to dissapointment. The camp site itself is not marked and the porta potty is at a distance. Seeing no one around, we were uncomfortable and left to find a another camp for the night.

The ranch has a beautiful view of the mountains as advertised and friendly horses. The host, however, was barely responsive and not friendly at all, which isn't exactly a huge problem except the site is listed "meet and greet" and it's unclear where exactly to camp (satellite photos in the listing weren't clear enough). We didn't expect the red carpet roll out, but a simple "hello, here's your site, have a nice time" would have been great and more deserving of a $30 fee. A posted note would have sufficed. Instead we felt unwelcomed and as if we were trespassing. We ended up staying at a walk up site on Antelope Island and had a really incredible evening.

Quiet, clean, natural
This was perfect as a stop-over night camp on our drive north. The ranch is quiet, clean, and has the most gorgeous view of the Wasatch mountains, which we enjoyed throughout our stay.
