Amazing campsite. Great views for the sunrise and sunset. The host is amazing, his dogs are even better. If you like to fish... The ponds are well stocked. I caught 3 catfish in about 20 minutes. Amazing spot

Beautiful! Clean! The grass was so soft. Perfect for barefoot walking. Bees and dragonflies buzzing in harmony, like surround sound, while fishing. Lots of big fish being caught all around me making kids squeal and laugh. I became the personal chef for a sneaky, pond turtle who loved my bait. Taking pictures of the beauty was my favorite experience.

This is the property drive past wishing you owned. A pond with a little beach perfect for some paddle boarding or kayak. Sounds of nature.
We used this a spot on the way to Georgia but wished we had more time to stay. Victor was very nice and he’s done an amazing work to the property making it comfortable with the electric water and sewer hook up. Our dog Rusty was excited to make friends with Victors dog blue and it was so cute seeing them sit outside the camper and play together. We will definitely be marking this as a must stop.

Always a great time. We will continue to book. It’s not far from our house but it’s a good reset from the work week. Good fishing and a good time. We take our Great Dane and it’s awesome watching him get to run out there.

I stayed at Leach Homestead for two nights and had a great experience. Vick was very friendly and responsive, which made the stay even better. One of the dogs, Blue, is super sweet—she’ll happily hang out with you if you’re up for some company. I didn’t fish, but I saw plenty of big fish in both ponds, and the birdwatching was excellent with lots of different species around. It was great having a bathroom and shower available. Overall, it’s a great spot and I’d definitely come back!

We booked this Hipcamp last minute while travelling the SCAR and couldn’t have been more pleased. The site was amazing! The view of the large pond was absolutely beautiful and made for a peaceful, scenic stay. It was great to have access to a hot shower and bathroom. Best of all, this campground is off leash friendly. Our dogs love romping around and exploring new areas. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet escape that also has great fishing!

I highly recommend Victor place. My family went there on a daddy daughter camping trip.The property is beautiful.The fishing is great and he was very helpful. My daughter said it was the best camping trip ever! Only issue we had was using the directions from this app, they were off a little. Found out through him that he also offers twenty dollar day fishing and will absolutely be taking him up on that.
We will definitely be back!

This was by far the best hip camp ive ever been to. We are so happy we found Victor’s little slice of heaven. I believe every camper and angler should experience this place!! There are so many things to see or do on this property. We asked where the fish sit in the lake and he told us “wherever you can cast” and he was not lying!! We caught SO many fish this weekend and even cooked up some bream on the fire for dinner. The road was no problem, you couldnt hear it that much from our tent anyways. Even if you feel like it is the property is so big theres a spot somewhere for everyone. Victor even let us borrow a table and an extra chair. The shower and toilet was such a great addition as well. Victor was extremely nice and helpful, and came and checked to see if we were catching fish. He was an awesome host and we will 100% be back ASAP!!

We had a great time staying at Victor’s place! He was very accommodating to our needs and met us when we were rolling in late after dark. Property was beautiful and so fun to explore. Blue, the dog, was very sweet and even roamed the property with us and our dogs! Would highly recommend staying here 😊

We had a wonderful stay. The host was both respectful of our space and very accommodating—couldn't have asked for more. After reading about the dog, we were a bit concerned, but the dog was friendly and no trouble at all. The site was picturesque and well-kept. Definitely worth a visit for anyone. As our first experience with Hipcamp, we feel like we struck gold!

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome…and I mean AWESOME time. Victor made us feel at home right away, went above and beyond as a host, took the kids for a little ride on rounds around the property. Pond is awesome, you will catch fish. Even said we could keep a few of the bluegill or small bass. Beautiful property, manicured camping and area around the ponds. His dogs were super friendly and the Labrador named Blue was like family. She was an excellent tour guide and the kids loved her. The scenery at night is a breathtaking view of the stars. Even a private bathroom with a shower to use. Definitely a game changer in the camping scene, big bonus. Will DEFINITELY be returning sooner than later.

This was our first time using HipCamp and I was very disappointed with how rude the host was. Firstly, the “friendly” dogs are not all friendly. Victor instructed me to follow him after part of our group had already been shown to our spot. One of the dogs defensively barked and circled my car. Victor sped off into a wooded area and I stopped my car to avoid hitting the dog. Victor angrily circles back to my car as I was turning around to follow him and he goes, “What part of follow me do you not understand? Do you think I’m a predator luring you into the woods?” That was a very creepy and unnecessary thing to say, especially as it was just me and my young children in my car. He then rolls his eyes and I follow him to where my friends were. He then approaches my friends and says, “Who’s girlfriend is this? She’s not very bright.” Again, a very rude and unnecessary thing to say. Doesn’t seem very bright to me to insult guests. Not sure if he was having a bad day, but he was not at all like what the other reviewers mentioned. We are locals and were wanting to fish with some friends that were out of state. He made us feel very uncomfortable and I felt very weirded out by the predator comment. We usually use another site to book camping spots and have never dealt with a host like this.

What a great first Hipcamp experience! Victor was an excellent host and his property is beautiful! The access to a bathroom and shower was much appreciated after a long day in the hot sun. Our boys LOVED fishing and caught dozens of fish. There were trails to explore on the side-by-side and a little sandy swimming spot on the pond. We enjoyed the company of Blue, Victor’s sweet lab, during our stay. She was great company for our pup and our kids loved her. This was the peaceful weekend away we were hoping for! 10/10

The land is beautiful. We took our senior dog so that she could enjoy the outdoors. Victor is an amazing host who met us apon arrival and helped us chose a spot. He checked in with us often to make sure we didn’t need anything. Blue is the most friendliest dog and loves to say hello every morning. We rented the ATV and rode all day back and forth to the different ponds. The catfish we caught are the biggest we’ve ever seen. We will definitely be back to enjoy the ponds and fishing. We highly recommend this spot!

Victor was a great host. Caught quite a few bass and a nice big blue catfish in the his catfish pond. All in all, I would 100% recommend staying at this homestead.

This was our first trip with Hipcamp and we loved it. Victor met us and helped us find somewhere to set up after all the rain there had been. Fishing was great and Victor checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Our dog loved running around and had fun playing with Victor’s dog, Blue.

Wonderful spot and a wonderful host. Very, very private and beautiful. We rented his cart and went around the entire, enormous property. Our dog was in heaven and we were greeted by his wonderful dogs daily. A private bathroom and shower to use, but you will love waking up to the two gorgeous ponds on the property!

Victor has an incredibly nice piece of property in rural SC that is the perfect resting or recreational space. Although dry camping, Victor made available to me amenities I was not expecting, including access to very nice bath facilities. If you are in the neighborhood, you cannot go wrong stopping by this amazing location.

We loved the camping. The views were great and the fishing was excellent. Mr. Leach was a great host. He was attentive and friendly. He’s generous and hospitable. The property is one of a kind. Very relaxing and the dogs are so friendly. Dog named blue was very sweet and gave us a tour of the grounds. Our 12 year old son had a blast running around with her. The pond was fully stocked with fish which made our son’s fishing adventure an instant success!
