Welcome to Whispering Springs Hidden amongst the rolling hills of Northumberland County, lies a small wilderness oasis known as Whispering Springs. With King-sized beds instead of sleeping bags, mood lighting instead of flashlights, and a wine glass instead of a canteen – prepare for a new way of experiencing the great outdoors. Escape to Ontario’s glamping resort, just 90 minutes east of Toronto.

A-Frame Cabins

Elevating your escape. We are thrilled to announce the upcoming arrival of our exclusive A-Frame Cabins. Designed for the ultimate wilderness retreat, these modern structures will soon offer a unique blend of cozy luxury and immersive nature views. Each cabin will feature its own private hot tub and have stunning views of our spring-fed pond. Please note that this image is an artistic rendering. The A-Frame Cabins are currently under construction. PLEASE NOTE: Our A-Frame Cabins available for rental year round, however please note that our Reception Area, Bar/Restaurant and central amenities including the common area pool & hot tub are only open from Mid-May to Mid-October. If you stay in an A-Frame Cabin from Mid-October to Mid-May please be aware that many areas of the resort will be closed. You will be sent your check-in information electronically and will still have access to the grounds for hiking as well as your own private hot tub.

Escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life at The Chalet - a charming Swiss-inspired abode at Whispering Springs. The Chalet can comfortably accommodate 10 individuals in 5 quaint bedrooms and a charming open concept kitchen & living area. A large, wrap-around porch overlooks your private stunning pond and the Canadian wilderness. Located on the wrap-around porch is an outdoor fireplace, comfortable seating area and private hot tub. The Chalet is a rustic and secluded hideway, perfect for a romantic getaway, weekend with friends or a quiet weekend in the country. PLEASE NOTE: The Chalet is available for rental year round, however please note that our Reception Area, Bar/Restaurant and central amenities including the common area pool & hot tub are only open from Mid-May to Mid-October. If you stay at the Chalet from Mid-October to Mid-May please be aware that many areas of the resort will be closed. You will be sent your check-in information electronically and will still have access to the grounds for hiking as well as your own private hot tub.

Junior Safari Tent

Our Junior Safari Tents are smaller than our Traditional Safari Tents yet they boast increased outdoor living space and still feature private ensuite washrooms (toilet and sink) at the back of the tent as well as an in-tent soaker tub (please note that Scuttlebutt Lodge has a shower and no soaker tub). They also feature a cozy lounge and coffee area, expansive windows with wilderness vistas, and the same stunning and unique furnishings as our larger tents. Scuttlebutt and Wildwood are also the only tents at Whispering Springs with a private outdoor shower. Whispering Springs is an adults-only wilderness destination.

Mini Safari Tent | Forest Canopy

Our Mini Safari Tents are a cozy & cute little version of our Traditional Safari Tents. But don't let size fool you! These gems still boast a queen size bed, boho chic furnishings, coffee maker, and a large front porch with a scenic view. Washroom, shower, kitchen, and dining facilities are shared under a rustic cabin-style structure, and there is a communal campfire with Muskoka chairs. The 3 Forest Canopy Mini Safari Tents are nestled in a stunning and private Black Locust forest. These tents are perfect for family reunions and getaways with friends. All of our Traditional Safari Tents are tastefully designed with one-of-a-kind furniture, cozy beds, deep soaker tubs with on-demand hot water, heated blankets, electric heater, coffee makers, mini fridges, and so much more. This is refined Canadiana camping at its finest. Whispering Springs is an adults-only wilderness destination.

Treetop Tents

Spend your vacation in our most exciting accommodations yet, the stunning Treetop Tents (a Safari Tent nestled two-stories high amongst the treetops). Each Treetop Tent features a Queen size bed, electric fireplace, mini-fridge, coffee maker, and in-tent sink and toilet, as well as a very large and covered private balcony. The three Treetop Tents share a central common area with a barbecue, kitchenette, outdoor shower and private hot tub high above the forest floor. The Treetop Tents are accessible by suspension bridges and are elevated off the ground, with stunning views of our spring-fed pond and forest canopy. It's not quite Never Never Land, but it's pretty darn close. Whispering Springs is an adults-only wilderness destination.

The charming Whisper Cabin is nestled next to our spring-fed pond and in close proximity to the central amenities of Whispering Springs. The Whisper Cabin features a stunning pine interior, large windows, and a private screened-in porch with your very own hot tub. It also has a full kitchen, bathroom and living room with a lovely gas fireplace. The main bedroom features a queen-size bed and there is a pull-out sofa in the living room (the Whisper Cabin can accommodate up to 4 individuals). The Whisper Cabin provides the perfect setting to truly disconnect from the stresses of modern life and reconnect with yourself and the world around you. From cuddling up in front of the fire with a good book to spending your afternoon lounging in a hammock - this is the ultimate glamping getaway. PLEASE NOTE: The Whisper Cabin is available for rental year round, however please note that our Reception Area, Bar/Restaurant and central amenities including the common area pool & hot tub are only open from Mid-May to Mid-October.
