Perfect retreat during the week or on weekends. This land is waiting for you to come and enjoy everything Manitoulin Island has to offer! Town of Mindemoya is 15 mins away with shops and grocery store. Location Directions... From ON-6, turn left on Worthington St/ON-540W. Left again onto Corbihre St/ON-551S. Right onto King St/ON-542W/ON-551S, continue onto The Beaver Road. Left onto Grimesthorpe Rd, right to stay on Lake Huron Drive, Lot located Between 745-751 (Lot 20). 745 Lake Huron Dr. as stated on the listing is not the property it is next to this address. Bring your own pillows, sleeping bag or linens. *There is a propane 2 burner stove and small BBQ in the deck box, propane is there. *Firepit is there to use, bring your own wood. Or cut from fallen trees. *Small white camping toilet (for #1) is there and a lug-a-lou bucket (for #2), bring your own #2 bags to dispose of waste. Empty liquids from the bottom part of the camping toilet before leaving. Wide down after use. *Take all garbage off the property. *Bath in the lake and bring your own towels (water shoes are helpful as it can be slippery) *Bring your own drinking water. *No electricity so bring any battery/solar power needed. *Solar lights can go on outside the Bunkie, black remote is in the Bunkie. Also lights inside, they are automatic. *First Aid kit is available inside the Bunkie. *Code for the Bunkie Lock will be given on the day of arrival.

Christina was a super responsive host The site was just as desxribed except it was much more magical than anticipated Beautiful view of the night sky and little touches like tiny solar lights in the bunkie and on the trees near the water. After spending a lot of time in campgrounds, this stop was wonderful break.

Sensational bunkie, well outfitted
Spring Bay Bunkie... Lot 20
I was impressed, the place had about everything you need for cooking, then some. Loads of chairs and loungers of various types. The lake is a limestone shelf (Alvar) that drops off very very slowly, you have to go quite far out to get to your waist, but be mindful of the waves, dont turn your back on them as a general rule. The water was clear and cold, but not frigid, the perfect type of cold on a summer day, you can stay in for hours. A general store is up the street about 6 mins for any needs. To be picky, the bunkie only needs one thing, a solar powered roof vent, it trapped a lot of heat during the day. It was hot at night. But this is just a trivial nitpick. I've done a lot of Hipcamps all over North America, this is one of the top 3. I would like to go back again.

Peaceful but not comfortable
Spring Bay Bunkie... Lot 20
The site was private and peaceful, but the sleeping accommodations could be improved considering the price. We opted to sleep in our tent as the pullout couch was in poor state. We had to rearrange the deck area to do this and it was pretty uncomfortable. A bit discouraging when you pay for sleeping accommodations and can’t use them. Also recommend water shoes - the swimming area has very slippery rocks upon entering.

We loved the outdoor space, the water was very calming! We enjoyed the extra seating and two separate fire pits. Very dog friendly for off leash, would definitely stay here again!

Spring Bay Bunkie... Lot 20
What a gorgeous site on the northern shore of Lake Huron. The coast is unique and swimming on the shore is excellent. Clean and clear water abounds! The bunkie is designed for practical yet eye-pleasing glamping. Basic needs are met and some extras too but not so many frills that it seems cluttered. Her decor is both streamlined and comfy. The addition of a deck and a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs create great outdoor hangout options. And the picnic table for dining under an umbrella works just fine for outdoor dining. Thanks Tina for a lovely get away!!

Spring Bay Bunkie... Lot 20
This cabin is awesome! We stayed 2 nights and explored the island. We found the cabin and land so charming, with plenty of areas to sit, cooking utensils, and pretty solar lights. We had a fire at the cabin one night and a fire by the water the other. It rained pretty hard at one point and we were very happy to not be in a tent!
