Bear Lake Experience is a 42 Acre wooded property , with so much nature to explore . This is a real back to nature experience , close to home . Our 15 sites have 30 Amp power and are nestled along the 2 acre spring fed lake. The property has been in our family for nearly 100 years, we are the 3rd generation that has enjoyed this unique hidden gem. We look forward to sharing our experiences with everyone that comes

Smaller campground ideal for young families. Nice play area for the kids and a lake to fish in. First time going as a solo camper, washrooms were clean, campsites were maintained. Wish there were trails to walk around

Great little community. I was only there 8 hours and everyone was super friendly. I arrived after 8p, set up my tent in their open space between two RVs, used their facilities and slept soundly. My dog was welcomed, too.

Lovely people and very kid friendly. The pond is a hit for any child wanting adventure. Ipperwash is close by. Mosquitos a problem but OFF helps.

Robert is most accommodating during your Hipcamp experience and shares a well groomed location which also is close to the conservation area in the area, great for dog walking as well as his trails. Loved to see Robert’s Sunflower garden too! Wood to purchase and fire pit, 30 amp. Thanks for a relaxing, quiet long Labour weekend👍👍

This place is great and the hosts are awesome!! Despite there being no hydro due to a serious storm that blew through a day earlier the stay was awesome. Exactly what we needed to unplug!! Literally and figuratively. We will definitely recommend this site to all of our camping friends!!

Quiet place to camp for a couple of nights. We walked the trails and had a relaxing campfire. Our Thermacells kept the mosquitoes at bay.

Perfect Family Camping Trip

Bear Lake Experience
Our family had an amazing time at Bear Lake this past Victoria Day long weekend! We have been camping since our youngest was one. He is almost 14 years old, and he and his three siblings (16, 18, 20) all agreed this was a perfect family camping experience. We appreciated how Rob (our host), was quick to respond with our request to make a reservation, and was equally available via phone, text, or email with any questions or concerns. We were greeted by a friendly and enthusiastic host. All sites have a fantastic few of the lake and close to the restroom. The lake is full of wildlife activity from fish, tadpoles, snakes, frogs, turtles and even a muskrat. We even had the pleasure of watching a gorgeous bald eagle swoop in over the pond trying to catch his dinner. The trails are all slightly different and offer something new for all to explore. We found wild mushrooms growing up some trees and low-lying mushrooms, we have never seen before. The forests are filled with wild raspberries and an assortment of native plants included our national Trillium, both white and dark purple. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, hiking, campfire cooking, skits, and games. Rob and Janet took all interested guests on a spooky night hike which wouldn’t have been complete if it hadn’t been for the howling coyote. Don’t fear, we had no unwelcomed visitors during the day or night. Bear Lake Experience = Perfect Family Camping Trip

Bear Lake Experience
We had an excellent camping experience at Bear Lake. The owners were welcoming and super helpful with everything. We hiked the trails and fished in the lake. The site was good sized with a nice firepit. Saw lots of birds and enjoyed the atmosphere. Campers were quiet and friendly. There's lots to do onsite but it's also close to Warwick Conservation area and Rock Glen Falls (a must see!). This was our first experience with Hipcamp and we were pleasantly surprised.

Such a wonderful experience. The location was exactly what we were looking for. Our site had lots of space for our family and dog. Trails and a pond to enjoy what else could you ask for. Robert and his daughter were friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend!

Perfect little spot when you just want a place to get away, close to home yet feels like you are up north. Small and private for when you just want to be by yourself without hundreds of other campers. The owners greeted me when I arrived and helped back trailer in. They explained the history and amenities of the property. Several walking trails and a cute little lake your site sits on. Lake is a "float and read" size and not for paddling. The owners are welcoming and friendly. Saturday evening invited myself and other campers to join them for a hike to watch the sunset. During this they explain more history of the property and some future plans. Great value for the price (sites have 30amp hydro). Recommend you check it out. Thank you for a great weekend!

Bear Lake Experience
Our family and dogs had a wonderful time. The property is so spacious, each camp lot was large and lots of trees. The trails were wonderful, we especially enjoyed the sunset trail on the last night. Our son, Holt loved hanging out with your daughter, Rachel and her friend Lauren, catching frogs, playing games, canoeing and going to the beach. Thank you for make us feel so welcome we look forward to coming back. 🏕🚣‍♂️🌻

We loved it, simple and quiet with a wonderful view over the pond. Beautiful shade trees and a level path around the pond to stretch your legs and let your dog soak up the scents of the surrounding woods. Easy to find, a pleasant stay!

The Bear Lake Camp was very peaceful and relaxing. Site 5 was where we stayed was large and spacious. The host was excellent to deal with and easy to get in touch with. I feel the price is high depending on your financial situation. That said we still recommend and would go back. Thanks Rob. Dave & Tracey.

It was an amazing time around my family. Is a quiet place, the host is very nice, helpful and the view during our breakfast was very perfect. Thanks for having us.
