Beautiful location. We enjoyed staying at Lana's cottage. Close to a beach access and some beautiful provincial parks. Enjoyed that everything we needed was there. Loved the fires in the back yard. Great place to make special memories with our friends and family!

The location near the beach was great, but the place didn’t feel very guest-ready. I’m not usually picky, but there were crumbs on the oven, a dirty sponge in the sink, and a tea towel with a recent stain that had been folded on the oven handle so the stain was hidden. The closets and freezer were full, so it felt more like staying in someone’s house than a rental. When I asked about basics like a clean sponge or a bandage, it turned into a runaround and I never found any. One night a bat even flew inside as we were coming back in with our dog—apparently this is common since there’s a bat house right by the front door. Overall, the spot has potential, but it really needs to be cleaned and set up properly for guests.

Our 3 night stay at the cottage was very peaceful and relaxing, just what we needed. Our adult children and their spouses also joined us to make it a special birthday for their mother. Our dogs also got to enjoy the walks and outdoors. The water was low, so we only walked there once, but very wonderful Lake Huron sunsets. Twenty 20 minute drive to Kincardine to enjoy a dip in the water. Lana’s Cottage had everything we needed just bring your food, drinks and enjoy. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us.

Lana's cottage is great. It's very homey and has all of the comforts of city life but with a relaxing country house vibe. The beaches are an easy 2-3 minute walk down the street. Great spot.

The camping spot was quiet and peaceful. It truly is steps to the beach. We watched the sunset and had morning coffee on the beach! No one else around! Perfect!

Lake Huron Cottage Getaway
We stayed with our 3 boys for 3 nights. Lana was easy to get a hold of for questions. Kids had a lot of fun in the treehouse and zip line in the backyard. Lots of toys and books in the house. Best part is a 2 min walk to a peaceful beach down the street and a short drive to inverhuron beach which was amazing.

Lake Huron Cottage Getaway
Our group of 3 couples stayed at Lana’s beautiful cottage in Tiverton for 3 nights and had a great time. The property is excellent, as is the inside and amenities of the property. Inverhuron Beach has some of the most gorgeous water I’ve ever seen - turquoise blue and white sands, it reminded us of being down south. We had two small dogs with us and they had a wonderful time as well!

What a charming place to stay! Lana and her family is so welcoming and generous, and the cottage is wonderfully cozy. We loved the zipline for the kids and the easy access to the beach.

Port Elgin and Kincardine area are definitely worth the visit. This cottage backyard was super cute! The neighbourhood is quaint and we felt safe leaving our stuff out in the backyard. The beach that is steps away is small but great for sunsets. But there are so many nice beaches in the area that are a couple minutes drive away that you have so many options. There are also some national parks where you can go on hikes too. Great area, great place to stay. Lana is an awesome host and super chill. If you have any questions about any of the "rules" just feel free to ask, she is so easy to talk to. The only reason I wouldn't want to leave a positive review is so that I can keep this location as a secret. Some of the folks camping with us already want to come back and rent the cottage. Last thing would be to keep your food and garbage in your car or the shed. The critters are quite tenacious.

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend at Lana's cottage! It was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a quiet weekend away. Lana was super responsive and gave us everything we needed to prep for our trip. The cottage is in a beautiful area - very quiet and just minutes away from the beach and hiking trails! Would definitely go back!

Spacious and well-equipped cottage. Functional kitchen & bath. Children loved exploring beautiful backyard full of blossom and treehouse with zipline, slide and swing. Lots of toys, board games, many more indoor entertainments make everyone's stay enjoyable even in unfavorable weather (though it was not the case for my stay).

All I can say is WOW!
Lana's cottage is absolutely beautiful and it is extremely evident that the property is very much loved and well cared for. The property itself is beautiful and would be a blast for families (especially those with younger kids because there is a play area and small zipline on the property!). We sadly got rained out during the night of our stay and didn't get to take advantage of the firepit but there is no doubt it would be a cozy time.
It is located within a very short walking distance of the lake and it's just a short drive to Inverhuron Provincial Park and Kincardine. The cottage is large with ample space and we actually felt a little silly since it was just two of us! Plenty of light comes in and there are tvs/games if you happen to get rained out or just want to lounge around the cottage. The kitchen had all of the basics which was helpful. Beds (well, the one we were in) are comfy and clean.
Overall we had a great time, even if the rain kept us inside playing table hockey instead of enjoying the firepit!

We enjoyed our time at Lana's place. The property is beautiful and quiet. We took advantage of the BBQ and lovely back deck, perfect for morning coffee and dinner. Although we didn't use it, there was a very nice fire pit and supply of wood in the backyard. Also, a great kids play area.
It was pretty much a two minute walk to beach and pretty sheltered bay that was great for paddleboarding. We had the beach to ourselves when we went in mid-September and enjoyed warm water and beautiful sunsets.
We didn't meet Lana in person, but communication with her was great. And it was a pleasure to meet her gracious mother.

Lana is very detailed and provides helpful directions to local attractions/beaches. This place was very quiet and seemed like a close-knit cottage community. The fire pit is fully stocked with wood. This was a very relaxing camping experience, that included a wonderful sunset by the beach. We enjoyed ourselves and would recommend checking it out!

Awesome stay! Nice big back yard with lots of room for games and camping. We stayed for 4 days and didn't want to leave. The deck was large with a BBQ and a dinning set and wifi. The walk to the beach was close and the water was perfect. Definitely recommend water shoes. I would definitely stay here again!!

Great little spot to stay! You park your RV in the driveway of this cottage that is on a quiet cul-de-sac that is a 3 minute walk to Lake Huron. There is water and electrical hook-up (although to use the electrical you may need an extension). The owners, who are very hospitable and have great tips for seeing the area, give you access to their backyard deck with WiFi. The yard is very well maintained, and there is a fire pit with a supply of wood.
