My son and I had a great weekend paddling in to this beautiful riverside campsite tucked into a quiet bend. The site feels wild and natural in the best way — tall grasses, birds nesting in the woodpile, and muskrats swimming back and forth all day.
Swimming was awesome, and the breeze kept the bugs down (barely touched the bug spray!). There was plenty of wood to burn, comfy chairs, a firepit, and even a table — didn’t have to pack much in, which was a big bonus. My son loved gathering materials and building the fire, and we both enjoyed fishing, reading, and relaxing in the hammock. My dog loved lounging in the grass.
The host was fantastic — super helpful and patient answering all my (many!) questions since it was our first-ever canoe camping trip. We’re already planning to come back. A perfect mix of adventure and chill.
