Owl's Hollow offers you private camping and glamping on Tupper Lake at one of two unique sites: The Hut and The Perch. Each site is tucked away at the end of its own walk-in trail where you find yourself at the water's edge yet surrounded by majestic white pines. This is a quiet part of the lake with very few residents and motorized boats. Book The Hut or The Perch site at Owl's Hollow for your next camping adventure and be as lazy or active as your body needs to rejuvenate. Guaranteed the experience will bring you back to the calmness you may have been missing! By booking Owl's Hollow lodging/camping, you agree to save and hold harmless Karen and Ben Perry from any liability arising out of your stay. You acknowledge that there are hazards such as uneven surfaces, heights, bodies of water, wildfire, wildlife and noxious plants that are beyond the control of the owner and you assume all responsibility for your own safety. The Perch at Owl's Hollow is a private tenting site surrounded by forest directly on Tupper Lake and is accessed by a walk-in trail which takes less than five minutes. You'll have your own covered tenting platform 10' up an old growth pine tree with a sitting deck underneath, complete with hanging chairs. There is also a groundlevel tent pad and a grove of mature pine trees perfect for tent hammocks. The Perch is like being in the backcountry but with additional amenities. Also included is a fire pit, firewood, lounge chairs, 2 paddle boards, a canoe, SUP, small dock, outdoor gravityfed solar shower, compost toilet and shared swim raft with our second site next door, The Hut. The Town of Caledonia is a short 15 minute drive away. There you will find a grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy and cafe. Grab your camp gear and spend some time at The Perch and be as active or relaxed as you wish. Note: We have a second camping rental at the property next door called Owl's Hollow - The Hut. While the properties are completely separate with their own entrances and a wooded barrier, sound and pets may wander from time to time. Guests from both properties are respectfully requested to keep noise down and have control over pets at all times as our properties are set up for a peaceful and quiet stay. Note: This is a completely off-grid property. You are required to bring all your camping gear but if there is something you are missing, we may be able to accommodate you for a small fee. Some solar lighting is available.

Pitch your tent(s) and relax in our heated and insulated Hollow Hut at our private lakefront oasis on the Owl's Hollow property. The glampsite is located in a protected cove under majestic white pines. A three minute walk down a trail through the forest from the parking area will get you there. You can relax or be adventurous as you like. Owl's Hollow - The Hut is equipped with your basic campground necessities including our 10x10 heated Hollow Hut, covered cooking station, picnic table, 3 tent pads (one with canopy), swimraft (shared with guests of The Perch), firepit with firewood, compost toilet, outdoor gravity-fed solar shower, 3 point hammock, BBQ with propane, and a large lakeside deck to soak in the sun. Exclusive use of 2 adult kayaks, 1 child kayak and 1 canoe along with paddles and lifejackets. Note that in winter, some ammenities are not available. You are required to bring all your camping gear (ie, tent, sleeping bags, kitchenware, stove, etc). There are lots of hiking trails accessible directly from your site. Keep an eye out for our resident deer, owls and turtles... you may even catch a glimpse of a bear. You don't want to miss one of our famous sunrises or sunsets from the causeway bridge or from one of the kayaks/canoe. There is also an easy entrance swim area at bridge. You will also have some top-notch stargazing directly from your lakeside deck. The Town of Caledonia is a 15 minute drive away and has a grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy and cafe. Wow the pictures looked good but being there was a whole other kind of beauty. The spot is tranquil and perfect, Karen and Ben have everything you could possibly need! The cabin was nice and cozy at night and the view of the stars is incredible! Definitely already planning a return trip!

This spot is absolutely gorgeous! If you are in need of a tech detox, this is the place! Environmentally conscious and well maintained, it is a fun space for families or for adults who want to take a break for the crazy pace of life. Definitely recommend!

Forest Fires Begone!

Directions were clear to get to site, hosts were quick to respond to various queries & had done their research on DNR regulations & how they applied to their properties in light of the forest fire, trail access, & burn ban situation surrounding my visit. Sit was clear & as described. Wagon provided was functional & easy to use to navigate a trail from the parking to the site.

Nice path for easy walk in, beautiful views, tons of space and privacy, comfortable clean lake for swimming, appropriate bathroom facilities and more charm then you can imagine! You can feel the care that these hosts put into this land and the set up. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Owl's Hollow is the perfect place for a getaway - Karen and Ben have truly thought about everything! In the Hut there was a book about forest bathing, and their property is truly the epitome of it - peaceful, serene and therapeutic. The beautiful views, steps from access to the lake and the added conveniences (chairs, structures, water, etc.) is unbeatable. Karen was quick to respond, kind and very accommodating. Looking forward to coming back!

We have done a lot of camping with our kids. We first discovered this spot last fall and swore we’d be back in the warmer months to enjoy the lake more. This was one of our favourite camping trips to date. The location is amazing. The facilities are fantastic. It’s clean, organized, has SOOO much included for enjoying the water. Kayaks, paddle boards, canoe, and even has waterproof phones cases. Our kids (and dog) thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the trip. We spent hours on, and in, the lake. The shaded area of the camp site was perfect for the heat wave, as was the lake!

We absolutely adored our time here! The attention to a campers needs and all the details blew us away. It was so nice to be remote but still feel safe and connected. The cooking hut was a great touch, and we loved having our morning coffee in the chairs. We really appreciated the water that was provided by the host. When you go ensure that you bring extra lights (such as lamp or head lamp) and we had bug nets plus a fly zapper that came in handy! Overall it was an unreal experience, and we felt so taken care of for being in the woods! We would absolutely recommend and intend on going back again!

This was the perfect camping spot! There was much appreciated attention to detail with every aspect and it was a beautiful location. It was such a comfy and peaceful place to relax and detach from city life. It also has the nicest outhouse I’ve ever used. Definitely recommend it!

If you’re looking for someone to get away and be purely immersed in nature, this is the spot. It was so peaceful for myself, my partner and our 2 dogs. The road getting to the cabin made us a little worried about getting there as it’s very narrow, windy and gravel, but we are so glad we did it. Karen, the host, had everything we needed there, from roasting sticks, to camp cots. We got out in the canoe and swam around the very peaceful lake. Even though there was people staying at the other accommodations there, they were far away and we had lots of privacy. Thank you again for everything and we will definitely be back.

Had an amazing time at Owls Hollow! The spot is incredibly scenic and quiet with very few surrounding cottages. Would highly recommend taking out the boats and exploring the rest of the lake. Directions and signage is very clear, had no problem getting there or finding anything once arrived. Would highly recommend this wonderful spot!

Our stay at Owls Perch was one of the best stays we’ve ever had! The privacy was unbeatable. The lake was so clean and the views were stunning. The woodwork that went into this space was very well done and great quality. This site is a perfect place to detach from the world and just enjoy nature. The hosts were amazing, accommodating our needs as we used a lot of firewood on the first night (of course we bought our own wood to supplement the rest of the nights). We will definitely be coming back!

We enjoyed a very peaceful few days at The Hut. The property was beautiful and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Loved the kayaks and exploring the lakes, a true highlight. We spent most of our time on the deck overlook, watching trout and hummingbirds. Beyond just enjoying camp, we also used the property as a nice home base to take some day trips to some coastal destinations in the valley. All around, recommend!

i could not recommend this place more —karen and ben truly thought about every last detail! from the paddle boards/kayak/canoe to the hummingbird feeder, garbage cans/bags and the fire pit facing the beautiful lake, we were all set for a lovely getaway. we saw turtles, frogs and even a beaver swimming! thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us!

What a beautiful retreat! My husband and I had an amazing time out on the calm, serene water of the lake. Watching the sunset in the canoe was our favourite! This place is definitely one of the top ten places I have ever had the pleasure to visit.

Another great stay at the Owl’s Hollow! (the Perch this time) We love the extra details with signs around the lot and decor in the bathroom. My daughter enjoyed the opportunity to try paddle boarding. She fit her 3 person tent in the Perch with room to spare. We would recommend staying at this beautiful spot!
