Nice View—But It’s Just Their Yard
Absolutely outstanding sunset view. As other reviews have stated, there are no amenities. Of course, there are none promised, and they deliver on every bit of that lack of promised amenities. This is staying in somebody’s yard, with other strangers staying in the yard next to you. There’s no picnic table, no anything. We arrived late at night to find the people who were supposed to be two sites over from us had decided to set up directly next to us. That’s what happens when you don’t check in your guests—they just go where they want. The sites aren’t numbered, but there are spray-painted rocks. In fact, each small rock is painted two colors because the sites are that close: they touch. If you’re staying for one night, you’ll probably be content if nobody else directly next to you is loud. If you’re actually interested in camping, this isn’t the place. Again, it’s just somebody’s yard with a view of the distant water and stunning sunsets. This is the 42nd HipCamp I’ve stayed at and I’d put it solidly in 42nd place. Certainly not a disaster, but certainly not a place to actually camp.
