Find private lakeside tranquility on the shores of Duck Lake in rural Glacier County, MT. You can enjoy bird-watching and the most glorious sunrises and sunsets you’ve ever seen. Just 15 miles from the St. Mary entrance to Glacier National Park, and 11 miles from the Many Glacier entrance. This .26 acre RV site has water, electricity, and septic that will accommodate one unit. (Location via Google Maps can be problematic in this area. The site may also be identified as “Lot 16”.)
MAXIMUM RV LENGTH: 30 FEETOn July 5-6, 2024, we hosted our first guests, and they said it was their favorite Hipcamp! (See their comments in photos.) Our .26 acre (11,700 square feet) RV space is flat, and the scenic lot slopes down to lake access. The trout fishing is great! Obtain a license online from Blackfeet Nation Fish and Wildlife. Our shoreline is marshy, so it’s perfect for watching shorebirds. If you want to wade in, go north down the shore to the boat launch area.
There is a weak onsite wifi signal, but if you need a stronger signal, visit the Leaning Tree Cafe on HWY 464.

Great quiet spot close to Glacier National Park. Easy access to Many glacier and St. Mary’s. Great views and Rod and Lisa are very helpful with information or whatever you may need.
All the hookups to be comfortable in a private lot.
This is an exceptional property located perfectly to access the best parts of Glacier and Waterton without the crowds of the West! Beautiful Aspen trees and a killer view of Duck Lake. Water, sewer and electric. And the hosts are what really make the experience here great. Friendly, helpful hosts that are there if you need them. We will return!
Lisa and Ron were very welcoming. I was traveling in a campervan and enjoyed how peaceful it was out there. I checked out Many Glaciers and St Mary’s very early for hiking and their place was a perfect home base.
I did not have cell service but I didn’t mind at all.
Thanks guys for the snacks!
Very peaceful and quiet by the aspen trees overlooking Duck Lake.
Lisa and Rod very welcoming and had everything we needed plus some goodies upon arrival.
Have stayed there twice. So much better than any campground and reasonably priced. Great location to access St. Mary’s and Many Glacier.
Nice, mostly level spot with lake views! Hosts were great! Great location to St. Mary’s, Many Glacier, and Waterton Lakes! We loved the full hookups. The only knock was that we struggled with was the terrible Verizon and AT&T service and the spot really needs strong dedicated WiFi. It’s tough being in a new area on vacation and not having hardly any internet connection. Other than that it was great!
We travel by van and this space was perfect! Quiet, private, view of the lake and electric/water/septic connections! After being out all day in Glacier hiking and enjoying the scenery, a quick drive back to Lisa's and we were relaxing by the water. Highly recommend!
We loved our stay here! It’s a perfect location to explore Glacier NP, and super quiet and serene in the evenings. Unfortunately the lake is drying out so you can’t access it from the property, but it gives a beautiful view. I would recommend this spot to anyone.
Lisa’s hip camp is a great spot to stay. Beautiful sun rises and close to the swift current entrance to Glacier National Park. Would highly recommend staying here. Thanks Lisa!
Lisa's property is fantastic and close to the Saint Mary's gate of Glacier National Park. About 20 mins from gate to gate and about the same to Many Glaciers. Site was large enough to accommodate my 27' 5er and has a large (8-10'?) wide gate ate each end. Bring a little patience and you will be able to slip right in the spot. The property as it is laid out leaves your trailer situated parallel to the road. Just think about which way you want to orient your door and slide sides. Water pressure was adequate and the black tank hose connection required a little tinkering to set up but once done was fine. I suggest you pack an adapter to go from a lug connector to 3" smooth pipe. Very quiet location, nice patio and set up to look out on the lake. Overall this site exceeded our expectations and needs.
We had a great time at Rod & Lisa’s lakeside Hipcamp! It was close enough to both St. Mary and Many Glacier to get to the park early for hiking! The place was easy to find with Lisa’s directions. The sunrises on the lake were beautiful, our doggos had plenty of space to roam, the only downside was it was very windy in the evenings- but the east side of Glacier was all windy!
We enjoyed our stay and would come back again!
Definitely a little slice of heaven! We were on a private piece of lake front property with a beautiful deck and adjoining lawn. When you looked the other way you saw the peaks of mountains in Glacier NP. When we weren’t exploring Glacier NP, we were lounging on the deck watching the ducks and pelicans, so much fun! Lisa & Rod couldn’t have been any nicer or easier to work with. We had easy access to electric, water and sewer! I can’t wait to go back!
It is rare to encounter two people as kind and accommodating/welcoming as Lisa and Rod. The grounds were lovely, the view of the lake (amazing sunrises), the sound of the aspens, and a peekaboo view of the mountains. The site has full hookups that are easy to access. The proximity to the east side of GNP is amazing. We would absolutely return, not only because of the site and the location, but also to visit Rod and Lisa.
This site was so well maintained. You can tell that Lisa and her husband take great pride in this property. The beauty of the surrounding area speaks for itself. Phenomenal hosts. And a very short distance to the entrance to St. Mary and Many Glacier. Recommend to everyone!
Great location and views! Had a great sunrise view over the lake, and sunset view over the mountains! The site could be difficult for larger rigs to get in and out of, but I was able to put my 40ft motorhome, 25ftb car trailer, and car all within the fenced in area with a little bit of work after unloading and disconnecting. Would definitely stay here again!
We really enjoyed the full hookups and quick responses from the hosts. We felt perfectly safe in leaving our trailer at this great base camp while we spent the days exploring.
The site was clean and peaceful too.
Thanks for a nice stay!
Lisa and Rod put a lot of thought into creating a welcoming and comfortable Hipcamp spot. The different sitting areas, swing, deck, and lighting created a relaxing space. And to offer full hookups is outstanding!! Beautiful sunrises and gorgeous Glacier Mountains in the background! We loved it! Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us!
