It's definitely a more isolated place. Quiet, just the noise of the land itself.. It was off a local road that isn't heavy with traffic. The little cabin was nice, nothing fancy, but by itself. A peaceful place to rest. Plenty of firewood was available for use. The air mattress want to our looking, but a matter of preference really. Otherwise, a cozy little spot we spent the night in. Owners were very friendly, we apparently are the first to use this cabin, so your experience may be quite different from ours. We just needed a last minute place to crash when plans fell through, and this did the job very well.

We had the most peaceful, beautiful time at our stay on Jeff's land. We loved that it was dog friendly with plenty of space and peace and quiet. Would highly recommend this gem to anyone staying in the area.

This was a very impromptu trip, but it was well worth it! The cabin, shed and bathroom were stocked with everything you’d need camping. Jeff even came out to give a tour and extra supplies, so nice! 10/10 would come again!

Cabin in the woods
Jeff was a wonderful host! The cabin was nice and clean. He had everything you would need while camping, cooking utensils, pans, flashlight and Lanterns, and so many more little items you may forget. He turely has the site set up with more than you would expect. The site is private but still convenient to get to the lake or town. I would highly recommend Jeff’s cabin and plan to go back next year.

Jeff's property was perfect place to relax and unwind! Cabin was clean and cozy. Cabin had heater which was plus for us on a chilly night. Jeff was a great host, came by even during late hours to show us the property and amenities. Property had all the utensils, grill items to cook which we had not seen in any other hip camp sites. Overall we had an amazing stay.

Just spent a weekend at Jeff's cabin in the woods three adults and two dogs , it exceeded our expectations the cabin and the out house we're just so well put together and stocked with a lot of stuff you might need we didn't use the shower but definitely could have, the hosts were more than accommodating the site was clean and near a lot of cool things , I would definitely recommend a family and friends 😁

Our time at the cabin was amazing! The property and cabins greatly exceeded our expectations. Jeff was kind, gracious, and the most accommodating host! We are incredibly grateful we booked a stay here and plan on staying here again! More accommodations than I could have imagined, definitely book a stay here if you are considering it. The bed was super comfortable, the fire pit is perfect for cooking food, and the land is secluded and beautiful.

My children really enjoyed the bunk beds. The second building with the indoor toilet is really nice too. Owner was friendly and helpful. The family and I are already talking about coming back again.

Wonderful! My partner and I were stuck between wanting to go tent camping or find a cabin. This rustic cabin was the perfect middle ground. Jeff is an excellent host. He and his wife were thoughtful and timely communicators. They made sure we had what we needed and were very kind.
The land is beautiful. Our dog loved being there. The real highlight, though, is the cabin that Jeff built by hand. It’s brand new. Comfy bed. There’s a second structure with a composting toilet.
It’s about a ten min drive into Cadillac, which was nice to explore on our rainy day. We also hiked at the nearby Cadillac Pathway Trailhead. Really nice, well-marked trails.
We’ll definitely be back when we need to escape from the city, again. Thanks so much, Jeff!
