We had a wonderful stay at the A frame. Beautiful scenery and stars. Hot tub and cold plunge were epic. Ellie and Jack were very helpful and gave us our space. A very peaceful place!

Great experience. Stayed in Ponderosa. Very comfy, intentional & clean set up. We were the only campers there which was nice. Would stay again. Thank you Ellie & Jack for the thoughtfulness with the little details. Our dog was in heaven too :)

We loved our stay in this cozy yurt! It felt like we were tucked away in a peaceful forest. The location was perfect! Just minutes from a beautiful hike and not far to a lake where we got to paddleboard with our pup.
What made it extra special was how dog-friendly everything was! From the open land where our dog could explore, to the thoughtful touches like dog mats, bowls, and blankets. It was clear that pups are truly welcome here - which added to our experience.

Amazingly beautiful stay in Nevada city! The yurt and views were amazing! Very responsive and friendly hosts, amazing hip camp setup and we ended up having some great yurt neighbors from the Bay Area! Hot showers are a plus ! (might want to bring your own privacy curtain if you’re not a naturalist, lol) but can’t recommend this place enough!

A Frame Tiny House
We stayed at this cozy A-frame and absolutely loved it! The property had everything I needed for a comfortable getaway — a shower, a hot tub, and even a cold plunge. The location was perfect, tucked away on a quiet property but still only about 10 minutes from downtown. It felt private, peaceful, and relaxing the entire time. I will definitely be staying here again, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and refreshing place to unwind.

My friend and I loved staying at Ponderosa! Ellie and Jack were very responsive to our questions. The tent was very clean and cozy. The composting toilet was an unexpected but very pleasant surprise (very clean and quite relaxing!). We got to enjoy the hot tub after a long hike and that was lovely as well. We would definitely stay here again!

I enjoyed my stay at the Ponderosa! It went by so fast, ill have to book one more night next time. Jack and Ellie have a great set up. When I stayed we only had a couple neighbors down at Cedar so that part is dependent on your booking. The yurt had everything we needed including little extras that came in handy (a fan, some disinfectant wipes, etc). The hot tub felt nice, didn’t get a chance to check out the cold plunge. Jack and Ellie were always responsive and friendly throughout the whole time of the booking and trip. Highly recommend checking this spot out!

The area was beautiful and the property was spacious; the tiny house had all the amenities we wanted and more! There were lounge chairs, rechargeable lights, and cozy robes. Ellie and Jack were responsive including providing local hiking recs beforehand. I'd highly recommend Ellie and Jack's site!

I loved Ellie + Jack’s A-frame! It had everything we needed. They even included robes which was the perfect touch for the hot tub. The hot tub and the cold plunge were also such a treat! I would definitely come back.

Their mini cabin is a perfect mix of nature and comfort. You get the beauty of the outdoors without giving up cozy beds, electricity and mini kitchen. It’s ideal for people who wants to experience camping without the hassle. Great for relaxing and an escape for a while!

Ellie and Jack are perfect hosts! They allow the guests to have privacy but they are responsive and helpful when needed. This was our second time here and both times we were really happy and relaxed. That’s the point of going glamping. The place is clean, the hot tub and cold plunge are lovely, relaxing, very nice set up, five star! We’ll be back next year! Thank you!

I LOVED the campsite. It was camping, but without the physical labor. I appreciate there being anything you could think of needing for a good experience. A dining table, hammock, compost toilet, battery generators, solar lights, a wagon to get your items to and from the car. Literally the most relaxed I've felt in a long long time. 10 min to town, 25-30 to the river. Love it!

I had the most fun I could have possibly had. It really felt luxurious. There was everything you could possibly need to have a good time- camp stove, fridge, dining table, hammock, tiny fireplace, lantern. The compost toilet was easy to use and also not stinky. The location was perfect and secluded, but also easy to get to.
The hosts were incredibly supportive and responsive. I was able to have a beautiful weekend with my loved ones. I booked both the tent and a yurt, and it was phenomenal.

We stayed in the king bed yurt, which turns out to work well because a single group took the other yurt and the A-frame, which are closer to each other on the property. Only downsides there were that we had to walk through their dining area to get to the outhouse and that the shower was open on the side facing our yurt, but they were friendly and easy-going folks, so no problem! The hosts were super-responsive and the yurt was comfortable and clean, with thoughtful extras like robes and towels for the soaking tub. We got our steps in moving stuff from the car to the yurt (and back, to keep the critters out of our food), but there's a good cart to haul things. Overall, a great stay for us and our dogs. We'd definitely book again!

We had a really lovely time on Ellie and Jack’s land, the yurt stay was perfect! It was secluded and peaceful while still being so close to Nevada City. Perfect for a Yuba River weekend!
We loved the amenities too, the hot tub and cold plunge were excellent and we really appreciate the touch of being provided robes and slippers. Thank you so much!

Ellie and Jack set a really high bar for our first time using Hipcamp. They were incredibly responsive to any of our questions and made the experience super smooth. We were in awe of the set up in and around the tent the whole time during our trip. The tent was super cozy and comfortable, the outdoor shower was amazing, the hot tub under the stars was memorable, and I could really keep going. Lots of stuff in the area to explore and after 3 days there is only feels like we scratched the surface. Looking forward to going back sometime soon!

Charming and cozy! We loved the A frame. So many great, comfortable touches in the cabin. Clear instructions and quick responses from hosts. The hot tub under the stars was a treat, along with cold plunge and shower. It’s close to Nevada City and other great destinations north, like the Yuba River. We plan to go back with friends to stay in the 2 yurts on the property. Thanks you to the hosts.

We had an incredible time! The A frame was perfect for a weekend getaway! Location is close enough to amenities but feels remote too! The hot tub was so relaxing and everything was perfect! Ellie and Jacks communicated wonderfully!

Great place ! The tent was cozy, the amenities were well cared for. I appreciated that it was less than a 15 minute drive to both Grass Valley and Nevada City town centers !! Highly recommend!

Awesome little spot! We stayed in the A-frame which was super cozy and comfortable. The cabin has pretty much anything you could need and Ellie and Jack were quick to respond to any questions we had. We didn’t give the cold plunge a try but the hot tub was delightful in the evenings. Would come back again!

Great little cabin, just far enough from town, but close enough for drinks and food if needed. The hot tub is great, we stayed in the A frame cabin outside of their yurt season, so we did not have to share the hot tub with anyone.

This is a very special property, and we thouroughly enjoyed our stay. Make sure to take advantage of the hot tub/cold plunge. Close to town, but just far enough out. A-frame is very cozy, and small, but just big enough to make it a romantic dance. Loved the wood burning stove, and robes!
