PVCR Creeskside Bell Tent Camping
We had a wonderful stay at Tanya’s place. It’s clear she’s thought of everything you might need for a relaxing getaway, particularly with kids or pet friend. The shallow, slow-moving water, fun kayaks, well-equipped kitchen, and the trampoline/play area were all highlights. The bed was comfortable and all the equipment felt top quality.
While it feels very private in that you don’t really see anyone, the main house is visible and nearby, so it has more of a “beautiful backyard retreat” feel than being fully secluded. That said, the space itself, especially the beach area still feels like a special little escape. We’d absolutely love to come back.

You could show up just about empty handed and still have almost everything you need! The tent set up was extremely clean, and stocked with what you need. Lots of seating options to choose from. I also really appreciated that there is a propane fire pit available for use that was surrounded by a bug net - I didn’t use it on this trip but I booked my next trip knowing my bug adverse friend will really appreciate this spot to spend the evening!
And then of course there’s the beauty of the nature. The creek, which you can paddle up to a little rock damn with flowing water. It’s very peaceful.

This was a fun spot and the kids loved all the activities, including kayaking and the trampoline! All gear was new and high end, you can tell Tanya is caring a lot about her spot. The creek was great, very slow in front of the site so there was no dangers for my kids (13 and 7 yo) to play in the water. The tents were super cute and cosy, and the fact we had the whole site to ourselves was also a great bonus!

This was the most fun quick getaway for our families! Exactly as described, beautifully maintained property, incredible hosts. High end blankets and towels, very clean dry flush toilet, and so many cozy seating options. My kids loved the welcome shed, and there were too many thoughtful personal touches to mention.
The location is incredible. we explored grass Valley and Nevada city, both had a great selection of well appointed shops and restaurants and were less than a 15 minute drive from the property. We can’t wait to come back in the summer!

This was my third time here and the site continues to get better. The second toilet they added is top notch as well as the outdoor shower. Can't wait to see how it continues to evolve. Will definitely be back, again!

We had an amazing time at this Hipcamp! The place was beautiful and had everything we needed for a perfect weekend getaway. We did BBQ, relaxed in the hot tub, and even went kayaking — it was such a fun and peaceful experience. The host was super friendly and made sure everything was well set up for us. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature with friends!

PVCR Creeskside Bell Tent Camping
We had a very disappointing experience at this site. The property is right next to Highway 20 and backs onto a self-storage facility, with constant road noise that the host dismissed as “the road noise isn’t that loud.” When we raised concerns, the response was condescending and dismissive of our sensitivities.
More troubling, on the day of arrival we were told the toilet wasn’t working and were instructed to “use the creek” instead. This is completely inappropriate, unsafe, and against Hipcamp’s own “leave no trace” principles. The creek was also meant as a play area for our dogs, making this suggestion even more unacceptable.
Safety was another concern: the camp has very poor lighting, which posed real risks for elderly guests and anyone with vision difficulties.
Overall, between the misrepresentation of the property, the noise, the lack of proper facilities, and the dismissive attitude of the host, this was not a welcoming or prepared environment. We left after only a short time and would not recommend this site.

I also believe this should be mentioned in the listing; if it was, I wouldn't have chosen it at all.

This was my favorite hipcamp experience so far! There are so many small details that made a big difference: toys and treats for the dogs, paddleboards for everyone to play and lounge on, sunscreen and towels, a very comfortable bed and senior dog approved dog beds, the list goes on! It was the perfect way to spend a hot summer weekend and we can't wait to come back to this little paradise on the creek.

Fun and relaxing little spot with all entertainment you and your pup could need. Enjoy floating and splashing in the creek, lawn games or just sitting by the propane fire pit. We had a great time with my elderly dog playing and napping. Access to the bathroom is in host's garage, so you are basically in their back yard, but they gave us our privacy and every detail was thought of. There is also a little road noise so if you are looking for silence and solitude this may not be the place you're looking for. We didn't mind and much appreciated everything that was provided making our stay easy and relaxing!

This is perfect for a weekend getaway with your dogs and the hosts have everything perfectly setup for you. Just bring food/drinks (+ personal items) and doubt you would need much else. The electric grill has grill/smoke/bake/reheat/etc functions which offer a wide range of easy meal options. Or make it really easy and go to some of the nearby restaurants, options range from fine dining to burgers. Berries grow along the creek (would be great for pancakes!) where we spent most of our day. The luxury of 2 stand up paddle boards, a kayak, plus other large floaties was like no other vacation rental we’ve stayed. I don’t think we’d change a thing…

The space was thoughtfully decorated and we had a really good stay here with our pups! The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The private creek area was very nice and they provided a kayak and paddle board for us to use.

I hesitant to write such a public glowing review, because I secretly want to keep this gem all to myself. However, this place is the absolute BEST, and you would be remiss if you didn’t check it out!
The creek is flowing all year round, which means you don’t have to worry about any toxic algae (I big concern of mine). They have paddle boards and a kayak and several dog docks, all setup and ready for your enjoyment.
The upgraded tent is huge and it has a real bed with a nice mattress. Waking up to the sounds of the creek is so peaceful. There are toys everywhere and lots of room for your dog to play and roam. Plus, you’re within 1/2 an hour of great hiking trails and swimming spots.
This was my second time staying here and I can’t wait to return! 100000% recommend.

Our trip was amazing. Great spot right next to the river. I challenge you to find scenario they are not prepared for. They had everything: sun screen, river shoes, a grill, Bluetooth speakers, towels, mosquito spray, a pool with floaties, you really just have to pack food and drinks!

Like a dogs personal paradise, dog bowls and beds and blankets and toys. The clean flowing river was a treat to the ears and the eyes. Tanya’s place is peaceful and we loved sitting out by the propane fire pit every night talking and looking at the stars

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time celebrating our anniversary out here. The owners are both super friendly and were ready to help when needed. Beautiful camping spot with fun games / activities. Their dogs were a fun touch too, we highly recommend staying!

This was my first time “glamping”…(my dog and I always tent camp or backpack…) so let me tell you this place was AHHHMAZING! Everything was magical and perfect! My dog was in the creek the entire day. The creek was clear and had some cute cascade falls! There was so much space for him to run around on the land! There were dog beds, dog toys, dog bowls and dog happiness everywhere. As for me…it was relaxing lounge chairs by the water…so many places to sit, fun games and twinkle lights! There is a pool to jump in and a deck to relax on . At night you can enjoy a fire and enjoy the stars . The bell tent was so inviting and so cute inside with a comfy bed ! The hosts really thought of everything! They were so nice and welcoming! My pup did not want to leave! Thank you so much Tanya and Richard for everything. You made my birthday perfect! Axman and I will definitely be back!

10000% would recommend this place! Absolutely amazing in every regard. I stayed one night with my dog and we had a blast. The hosts have thought of everything and they go above and beyond to ensure all of your needs are met. The site is exactly as pictured. Seems too good to be true but it’s not! Can’t wait to return again, again, and again!

We were blown away by how above and beyond Tanya goes to make her guests feel welcome. The property is filled with literally everything you could ever need (towels, sunscreen, dog toys, drinkable water, kayak, etc. etc). The tent itself was very tastefully decorated and homey. She is incredibly responsive and kind. We also weren't expecting a pool so that was such a nice surprise! I would highly recommend to any nature lover, especially if you have a dog! No complaints at all.

Tanya has outdone herself with this area - what a playland! There is anything you can imagine when it comes to water toys, dog toys, SO much space to play, the creek and the pool, and the tent is absolutely adorable. She's really thought of everything to make her guests feel very comfortable and ready to have fun !

We loved glamping here! My son had the best time. Communication, location and directions were spot on. We had complete privacy with a creek and everything you can think of. Just wish we had more time! Definitely don't hesitate to book.
