Whispering Forest Campground

Very nice campground, conveniently located close to the highway, but in a very secluded quiet area. Walked a tiny bit of the trail and wish we had time to do more of it!

Beautiful area! Very treed in! Sites are close together but still feel private. Randy was very accommodating when I wanted to change sites once we arrived. He also recommended things for us to check out and a local restaurant in town to try out(Papa Bear’s is a must try!). Yea, there are mosquitos…just like everywhere else. So bug spray/thermacell is a must! Would definitely stay here again!

Nice and clean, level site, nice fire pit, clean washroom, convenient access without being right by the highway. Checked all the boxes for our stay and we’ll be going back again!

From the minute we pulled up to our site we had the hosts come welcome us and give us tips and supplies. They were so generous and kind I would absolutely love to stay again!

It was a nice location being close to some amazing places but the photos on Hipcamp are a little misleading. There is no privacy between the tent sites. The outhouse was a little rickety. There was free wifi and firewood which was super nice but I would not stay again. (also not that the host can control this but the bugs were absolutely crazy definitely bring all the mosquito nets you have!)

Host was friendly and accommodating when we wanted to switch to a different site. The outhouse was close by and easily accessible. In general, it was clean and did not smell, however, there seemed to be an issue with both the faucets and the drain of the sink. We were there in mid-July and the mosquitoes were pretty bad. We were camping in our EV and mostly stayed inside the car. It was a short overnight stay on a cross country trip and overall it worked out fine for us.

This is a great place to camp, and super convenient! It's close to town and easy to get to, and also close to both Glacier and Banff National Park, making it the perfect home base for exploring. The property is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by the forest. Each site has a fire pit, there's firewood available, and there's a nice pit toilet, and sink with running water! I definitely recommend staying here.

I was the first camper of the spring 2025 season and Randy was ready! Fire pit, wood, water, outhouse and WiFi in the woods. Plus I stayed dry despite a huge storm that night on the well graded site.

Randy has such a nice little campground in the woods behind his property. The sites are right next to each other, but we happened to be the only campers there, so it was extra private and the silence was beautiful! Randy kindly left us some kindling to start a fire, and let us check out late. The outhouse was nice to have close by and a running water sink. Highly recommend for a secluded camp, compared to huge national campgrounds. Thanks!

Site 1 Pine Crescent

Great little secluded camp sites. A lot of shade so real good in the summer. I would not advise larger rigs stay here due to lack of turn around at sites. We were 20 feet plus my truck and the tree in the dead center makes it difficult to manuver. Sites are level for the most part. Outhouse is a work in progress. Nothing a good handyman could not fix in less than a day. Host was easy to get a hold of and very attentive to our needs. Thanks for hosting.

We were looking for somewhere to stay for one night before heading into Yoho NP. If you’re only looking for a place to rest your head, this will work. Contrary to the listing, there are no fire pits for each campsite. The sites are very close together and small. We stayed on #3 with a small camper van (no slide outs) and had just enough room to pull in. The email from owner stated there was WiFi but my iPhone could not find a network present.

Site was silent and the letrine bathroom is nice! Sites very close to each other. The terrain is not very suitable for tents but perfect for RV’s, if you have a tent I recommend grabbing the site 5 because the other ones have rocks everywhere.

The location was great, 1.5 hours from Banff and located along the trans canadian highway. The campsite was barebones, uneven land with tons of mosquitoes. I recommend bringing a screentent, you will not want to hang out outside most likely. 50 minutes drive from Yoho National Park and right by the Golden skybridge. Yoho is amazing!!!

The camp is very nice and secluded so the privacy is there. The outhouse is very clean and does not smell. Randy was very quick to respond and was very helpful. The only issue was the bugs. There were a ton of mosquitos and they were hard to deter. There are also a lot of wasps which were also hard to deter. Bug spray, mosquito coils and wasp traps are a must. There were also no picnic tables, which would have been nice, so bring a table. Aside from the bugs it was a great place to stay and would stay again, just better equipped.

Great overnight campsite!

Cute little campsite! We came through while we were travelling from Vancouver Island to Nova Scotia and was a great spot for a last minute booking to crash for the night. Close to the highway! Very clean and quiet and well maintained. Has the nicest and cleanest outhouse I've ever used, it's like a little outdoor bathroom with running water to wash your hands a big mirror! Lots of mosquitoes in July so bring bug spray if you can!

Campsite is not far from Golden. Friendly reception by Randy. The site is nice and ours was pretty level. The pit toilet was clean. Only con was there quite a lot of mosquitos around.

We loved staying at whispering forest campground. It was secluded and quiet, we stayed two nights and only had one other camper near for the second night. Very close to both Banff and Yoho national parks making it very easy for us to relax and also get out and see all the things these parks have to offer. The campsite was very clean and well kept as well as the out house is probably the best and cleanest I have ever been in, big props for that! We were also able to book our site last minute, which was very helpful as we are on the road without a plan. All in all would highly recommend.
