Had a relaxing and peaceful time at Jamie's campsite. Very comfortable with lots of space, the outdoor sink was very handy and the outhouse was well stocked and clean. His farm fresh eggs were such a delight to have in the mornings. Wonderful hosts. Will definitely be coming back 😊

Jamie is an exceptional host. Communication was so easy and professional. The land is beautiful, so spacious and private. A real treat to have so much space and quiet, while also being close to town and all the valley has to offer. Highly recommend, and will definitely be back. Jamie, the land and the chicken eggs are all amazing!

We loved our stay at Jamie’s campsite. It is so beautiful and peaceful. A great place to relax and embrace the surrounding nature. All the personal touches he has put into the site, the tables, lit stairs, water, fire pit and outhouse add to the experience. The location is awesome as you are close to biking, swimming, paddling and town, and yet feel like you off the beaten track. Highly recommend it!! We will be back :)

Wow, just an amazing overall experience staying here as a couple with a 16 month old son in our camper van, the hosts were extremely accommodating with our last minute booking and the property is like your own little oasis under the trees at their pond. They really went above and beyond to help make sure we were set with anything we needed, even gifting us some of their own farm fresh eggs. A short bike ride to a beautiful swim spot on the Puntledge, Stotan Falls, to cool down. Clean pit toilet and potable water with shower head, even a fire pit we could’ve used if it wasn’t fire season and row boat for their pond. We will definitely be back here!

We loved our stay here. Very private and quiet yet close to town for all our stocking up or dinners out. A lovely sink with fresh water and a clean outhouse plus flat areas for tents by the pond. Great communication with Jamie. We highly recommend this place.

What a dream property! Jamie’s land is a rejuvenating place where you’ll have solace amongst the trees but yet so close to so many trails and beaches. Jamie was excellent with communicating.

We had another wonderful stay at Pond Forest Retreat. So quiet and peaceful. And with the heat of summer it was nice to set up camp in the shady forest of this hipcamp. This is our favourite place to stay at when we visit the Courtenay/Comox area.

Great place to camp outside of Courtenay. Jamie was very welcoming and flexible when I changed our booking last minute. Lots of space to camp in and wood available for a campfire overlooking a large pond (the size of a mini lake). The drop toilet had everything you needed. Jamie also gave great recommendations for comox lake and the small, fun town of Cumberland.

It is a great site with multiple, flat areas to choose from. The frogs in the pond at night were neat to listen to. It was private, relaxing and Jamie is a great host. We have already booked another stay.

We just had our second and third stay at Pond and Forest Retreat. It is such a relaxing and peaceful place to stay. Our host is excellent and very accommodating. We will definitely be staying here again in the future. It is our favourite place to stay when on Vancouver Island.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was quiet and peaceful. Jamie was an amazing host, coming to our rescue boosting our dead truck and providing everything we needed for our 4 day stay. I would highly recommend this site to anyone coming to the Comox Valley and looking for a place to stay. We will be back. It was our first Hip Camp Experience and we will be forever judging all our future stays to this one. Not sure it can be beat!

What a phenomenal time. Jamie was such a great host, as I can’t say enough of how special his land is, especially how remote yet close to Cumberland and Courtney (9 minutes away). Jamie has taken great care and attention to the details of his guest’s experience and enjoys our delights in his land. He is a steward of his land and has taken extra care to extract some really cool natural elements beneath the surface. The wildlife sightings are an added benefit. Thank you Jamie, we will be back!

We had a good time camping at Jamie’s retreat. The camps site is quiet, secluded, and private, and is equipped with the basic amenities, which we appreciated. We also appreciated the natural scenery at the campsite, the forest and the pond, which made the experience all the more pleasant.

It was a very pleasant experience, Jamie is a great host and made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed during our stay. The space is cozy, lots of room to move around and enjoy. Tons of things provided like a sink eith clean running water, an outhouse and more. Would stay here again

Beautiful quiet spot outside of town just a little ways. Perfect for escaping the rain for the night. Host was friendly and communicated promptly and clearly. Highly recommend if in the area! It’s beautiful
