Village Hub Farm Campground
Located in the north Okanagan 5 minutes from Armstrong and 15 minutes from Vernon. We recently bought this charmingly rustic old farm property and are in the exciting process of bringing it back to life. Our address is 1945 Otter Lake Cross Road, Armstrong.
It has a lovely forest area, alongside sprawling fields that are dotted with beautiful wildflowers throughout Spring and Summer. Another delightful feature of our home is a swamp that displays a spectacular array of bird wildlife in the spring and early summer. A bird watcher’s dream! And, if you are lucky, you may even see deer, beaver, bear, coyote, Marmot, or Western Painted Turtle roaming the property, all have been seen on the farm at one time or another, so keep your eyes peeled!
We are close to amenities but are far enough out of town to provide a quiet and restful retreat from the hum and drum of every day life.
We are popular for family reunions and specialty gatherings such as card or game tournaments.
Summer in the Okanagan. Come and enjoy the scenery, fresh peaches, cherries, watermelons, veggies and other locally grown delights when in season.

This campsite offers a tranquil retreat with its beautiful, country setting, surrounded by tall trees and expansive fields. Campers frequently highlight the peaceful atmosphere, the abundance of wildlife, and the friendly, accommodating hosts, Marek and Iris. While the porta-potty is praised for its cleanliness, a few visitors noted the presence of mosquitoes and the occasional sound of distant traffic. Overall, it's a spot that promises privacy and nature immersion while remaining conveniently close to town.
The site backs onto an open field, giving you wonderful early morning sun, while the tall surrounding fir trees offer plenty of shade in the afternoon. We had the place all to ourselves, which made for an incredibly peaceful stay. The porta-potty was clean and well-maintained, and Marek and Iris were exceptionally friendly and helpful hosts. Hearing the coyotes put on a nightly concert was a neat experience, but definitely make sure to keep your dogs close and attended at night!
This was our 2nd time staying here. It's easy, it's lovely and we'll be back again next year! There are owls, so many other birds. You get to hear coyotes yipping in the night, and it feels so country even though you're not that far from town.
Traveling from California I needed a spot to stop on my way to Banff. Found this spot, and was lucky enough to have the entire camp site to myself. It was quiet and peaceful, host was very friendly. Would stay again.
Yellow Campsite- what a wonderful spot, huge amount of space, very private and tons of shade! Very quiet with no light pollution so premium star gazing. Lots of space to tether my dog in site and a big field close by for sniff walks as well. Beautiful birdsong to wake to from all the little birds in the surrounding woods too. Porta Potty was super clean. Close to some nice local hikes. Host was very quick to respond, great communication/response. Highly recommend!
Both Marek and Iris greeted us upon arrival.
Campsites are simple but flat and easily accessible.
Blue campsite looks over a clover field where we watched the peasants flying in and out.
A nice quiet retreat.
We love camping at the Village Hub! We come out often for dog events put on by the Canine Hub and love camping here when we come. The sites are large, private, and have amazing views. It's so neat to watch all the wildlife around at the property!
The hosts were amazing, so kind and friendly. We loved our camp site. It was beautiful with all the trees and we heard so many birds. It felt safe, secure and it was quiet which was lovely.
Great location with an awesome view! Feels super private & the sunrise was stunning! They also have garbage & recycling on property witch is super convenient.
Great view of the valley at night and day not too many mosquitoes but alot spiders of course I would recommend it since it’s close to everything for a daytrip
We stayed here so we could go to the Armstrong fair. It was a lovely spot away from the hustle-bustle of the fair, even though it was only a short drive to Armstrong. Clean porta potty, tidy sites, lovely host! I'm a very light sleeper and I had to wear ear plugs as some of the cars that drove along the back roads were super loud. But my family wasn't bothered... just a note for the light sleepers to have ear plugs. Heard owls in the night. Definitely recommend this spot.
A lovely secluded campsite in the heart of the North Okanagan. A little bit buggy but loved all the birdsong in the forest. It was a great location to bike around. Highly recommend going to Farmstrong cidery!
Loved this campsite. Very peaceful and private from the other campsites and good selection of firewood! - I recommend bringing bug spray with you as there are lots of mosquitos
The campground was easy to find, as descripted on the reservation platform.
Even we were late, we could easily drive through to our reserved campsite. Marek hast guided us by chat.
The next morning we met Marek before leaving. He is a very kind person and he gave us many recommendation for our trip in Canada and for future trips at USA, like Yellowstone national park and Utah.
We had a really good conversation with Marek.
Thank you very much for all the recommendations.
Booked this campsite for a few nights while traveling in July and had a great experience. Tucked away on a farm, the site is peaceful and private—surrounded by tall trees at the end of a charming property. It feels completely secluded, yet it’s only a short drive to Vernon if you need anything from town. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Marek, on my way out while he was tending his garden—such a kind and welcoming person. I’d absolutely stay here again if I’m back in the area.
It's my second time camping at this place. First time I had a different site. It's a good camping place, easy to find, not too crowded. You may see other campers there. The distance between sites is good enough. I can recommend this camping place and I would camp here again.
The host is responsive.
The site is nicely located on the edge of a field - quite private. The birds we plentiful and great to listen to. The birds are obviously there for the bugs to eat, as they are plentiful. Particularly the mosquitos! Overall nice, but rustic.
We booked the entire campground to stay with our family. It is an absolutely beautiful spot, close to town, yet super private! Accommodated my parents 40’ 5th wheel no problem- which is hard to find these days! 10/10 stargazing as well. I almost didn’t want to leave a review to keep these sites a secret because they are that good lol!
