Welcome to a natural, convenient location with basic amenities on the West Kettle River! We have 300 acres including 1500 meters of river frontage with access to the surrounding crown land and KVR trail which runs through the property. We recommend arriving before dark so that you aren't complaining in a review how hard sites are to find at night, in the dark. Some sites may be overgrown generally a lawn mower is provided for your use. If you are looking for fully serviced campsites where the outhouse is closer than 250m, then you should just carry on! The KVR trail is the access to the property. From HWY 33 South, take the turn (West) onto Tuzo Main Road (about 7km's south of Beaverdell), then cross the wooden bridge over the Kettle River and take the first left onto the KVR trail (a long, straight flat gravel road) and follow for 1900meters. Mostly wide enough for one way traffic only, so please be patient and mindful of trail users on bikes, quads and vehicles. After driving down the KVR right of way about 1.2km, you will arrive at the farmhouse gates - there you will see a little sign for the campground on the tree, so keep going down the right away. Once you go another 600m or so, you will come to a homemade sign with an arrow pointing you left. Turn there and then make a quick right turn then follow the road. You will come to the large tree with a picnic table and two blue barrels marking site #10. Sites 1, 2, 3 ,4 are over at the river, the other RV sites 5, 6, 7, 8, can be any where around site 10 or in the loop. I can always bring the lawner mower over to cut the grass and weeds down just get a hold of me. We currently have 5 tent only sites on the river and 25 RV/Tent sites currently about 100m from the river. There are currently picnic tables with blue umbrellas for sites 1, 3, 4, 10. There is a small white table and chairs for site 2. RV's sites include sites #4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 - I can add many more RV sites. Just need to cut the grass/weeds. Fishing, hiking, exploring, bring your quads, dirt bikes. There's plenty of roads and trails ... Even a secret honey hole fishing spot not far away but that's hush hush only locals know about this gem. A camper told me recently he saw a massive fish (16+ inches), likely a rainbow in the Kettle.

There is a turn off to the left at the Arlo KVR Campground sign, you can turn here and then take a quick right down the gravel road. From there keep an eye out to the left and you will see the picnic tables and blue umbrellas. Campsites are numbered with small white and black signs. Site #2 is situated beside the river. Comes with a table, chairs, fire pit and spot to pitch your tent. The West kettle River is shallow throughout the summer months. The water is cool and there even can be small rainbow trout! Lots of trails and places to explore nearby. We have a pit toilet outhouse for your use and running water as well.

Site #1 is situated right beside the river - there is a picnic table and fire pit and a spot to pitch your tent. Site 1 is not an RV site, (although we do have room to accommodate many RVs elsewhere. The site is about 100 meters from the KVR trail. The West Kettle River is shallow throughout the summer months. The water is cool and there can be rainbow trout! Lots of trails and places to explore nearby. Outhouse and access to river (water) for your use.

KVR Riverside Campsite #2
We booked with Arlo after communicating with him. Unfortunately my motorcycle broke down to the point of needing to be towed approximately 30 km away. When I tried contacting Arlo to tell him that i broke down with my motorcycle and my husband and I would not be able to make it, I got no response back or feedback. Thus not very communicative. I was pretty disappointed by the “ghosting”.

Site #2 was in a gorgeous spot right on the River. We were able to back our 25 ft. Travel trailer into it. Uneven soft ground but leveling blocks worked. Caught (and released) a 12 and 16 inch rainbow trout right from our site. No potable water and outhouse is a really long way from any site, but with trailer we were self contained. Site 10 is at the road in dirt. Sites 5-9 are between KVR road and river. Definitely needs to be mowed before staying on those. If you are looking for a quiet and beautiful off grid location, sites 1 and 2 are for you.

Loved the scenery at Arles camp! Great place for a getaway and super peaceful! Only critique is that the site numbers are a little small and difficult to see when arriving past daylight hours. Other than that I highly recommend!

The out house is too far for an old guy like me. The nice thing about having that one convenience is when you want to get on the road it's one less thing you have to clean before you stop. Very private camp. Beautiful.

Was a great quiet spot right against the river, #2 doesn't have a umbrella like the website but looked like all the other lots did also do pay attention to the signs driving in.

KVR Riverside Campsite #2
We stayed in site #2 which was tucked to the side of the campground, right on the creek. It was a great little spot. The campground would be perfect for a group due to the sites being pretty close to eachother. The ground in site #2 is a bit hard on the feet, I'd recommend wearing thicker flip flops. The host seemed very friendly and made sure we had lots of firewood or anything else we may have needed. We saw a ton of wildlife! It was a nice spot to stay.

KVR Riverside Campsite #1
Arlo's campsite was a welcome stop for us on our KVR bike trip, located right off the trail at a convenient distance from our starting point (Rock Creek). The tent spots were well-maintained, and located right next to the Kettle River. This is definitely, as advertised, a bare-bones campsite. There is firewood available for purchase, but you'd need an axe to break it down to be usable. There's also a (new and very nice) outhouse, but it's a full 500m away from the campsites - so be prepared for a bit of a walk! Will also note that the images of the pebbled bank on the listing are across the river from the camp, so don't expect to find it at your site.

Tent camping and the site was well kept with an amazing view that was steps away from the river. The area was quiet and we were able to have our dogs with us off leash which they really enjoyed. There was an outhouse that was a few minutes walk from the site and was probably one of the nicest ones I have ever seen. 10/10 would recommend. We had met the owner and chatted with him during our stay. He was very welcoming and accommodating ensuring we were doing well and had everything we needed. We booked for multiple days but ended up having to cut our stay short as the weather was not cooperating with us. Hope to visit again.

Hidden gem, gorgeous spot!

KVR Riverside Campsite #1
It was my first visit to a Arlo's campsite, and it was amazing. The site was right on the river, quiet and relaxing. The park and facility was new, clean, well maintained. Convenient just off the KVR(though I only saw one vehicle go past all weekend!) and just a short gravel road drive up to a gorgeous little fishing lake. The river was a little lower in the midsummer, so I didn't fish there this trip, but I could have right from my campsite. I may look into making this a stop for my next weekend motorbike club ride! There's even cell service, which terminates right after the campsite, and you don't get it back to almost rock creek. I spoke with the owner, who was onsite, and there's big plans for the location. KVR Riverside Campsite #1
I enjoyed tent camping and waking up so close to the beautiful river sounds and view, Argo left a screen tent cover overtop the picnic bench and offers a great price on firewood. We took two bundles and enjoyed a campfire in the evening and morning. The view of the stars at night at this site were so clear, definitely recommend it for star gazing.
