Nestled in the countryside and surrounded by forest, pasture, and starry nights; our rustic tiny cabin for 2 adults (or 1) is a cozy, off-grid retreat designed for rest, reconnection, and a little back-to-the-land magic. Escape from the city for a night of stargazing, warm up by a wood stove, daydream in a hammock or simply unwind in nature, this is a soul-soothing getaway that brings you back to what matters. The Experience Adult-Only Cabin (Sleeps 2): Thoughtfully designed for couples or solo travelers seeking solitude. Clean linens, cozy blankets, and a wood stove for warmth - this is next-level glamping with a frontier twist. Dish-Free Stay: Dishes provided, but you don’t have to wash a thing. Simply leave them in the sealed bin - we handle the rest. No Power, No Problem: Candlelight, lantern, and a beautifully stocked cabin set the tone for an authentic, pioneer-style stay. Private and Peaceful: The entire site is yours, no sharing. Onsite Amenities Firewood Stove: Wood for the indoor stove is INCLUDED from Oct. 15–May 15. From May 15–Oct. 15, your first bundle is on us. Outdoor Fire Pit: Large firewood bundles available for $15 each. Enjoy fireside stargazing beneath some of the clearest skies around (check Parkland County for fire bans). Optional Add-ons: Propane for the BBQ, picnic baskets, and fresh farm-to-table organics available by request. Comfort Touches: Slippers and socks encouraged - no shoes in the cabin. Good to Know Max 2 adults in the cabin. Additional guests welcome to pitch a tent or park an RV on-site (pls add on for extra guests, 6 guests max per site) Private outhouse, pergola, and outdoor seating area included. Caretakers nearby if you need anything during your stay. Gravel driveway and parking pad - easy to access, one step up to cabin. A Stargazer’s Paradise Known for its crystal-clear skies and low light pollution, our homestead is a magnet for meteor showers and northern lights chasers. This year’s skies have been nothing short of magic. Things to Do Explore nearby nature areas, and charming rural spots. Snow sports, Wabamun Lake, Pembina Lake, fishing, and more!CABIN SLEEPS 2 ADULTS. WARM AND COZY in the winter, the woodstove keeps you nice and toasty for the perfect winter getaway! Welcome to the Old Frontier. This is a perfect, cozy accomodation for a country getaway, close to the lake for ice fishing, ideal for winter sport enthusiasts... This cozy, off-grid non powered micro cabin is just what the doctor ordered for some rest and relaxation.  Please contact us for special group bookings. This location is known for star gazing, meteor showers and northern lights. Mid November update - the northern lights have been their best yet! Complimentary warm beverages await with kettle to be heated on the wood stove.  During the winter, wood is included to keep you toasty. In the summer; you'll have a complimentary bundle waiting for you. Additional bundles of wood can be purchased for $12.00 each. A vast assortment of books to daydream, or play a game or puzzle with a favorite beverage.   Here's the best part.  NO DISHES.  Cabin dishes to be left in a sealed tote outside your cabin and will be cleaned for you.  Glamping service at its best.  We offer text concierge service between 12pm and 7pm. Quirky outhouse is just steps from the front door.  Onsite BBQ access, outside eating area and firepit all at your leisure.  Go for a walk in the forest, or hiking at Pembina/Wabamun lake.  Get in some ice fishing! 2 Adults maximum occupancy in cabin 1 furbaby (PLEASE select ADD ON - PET FEE at time of booking). IMPORTANT NOTE:  This site is amazing in the winter and well worth the experience! The Wood stove is perfect to keep you nice and toasty. If you have never winter 'glamped', it is important to keep in mind when booking during a Canadian winter there is no power to this site.  Be prepared with extra socks or slippers, as temperatures outside can drop below -45 celsius before windchill, and source of heat is wood stove.  The cabin is a small one room space and heats extremely well, however please bring warm footwear and be prepared.  Winter camping/glamping is at your own risk.
