Really unique and fun camping spot. We stayed in the forested portion of the property and it was quiet and well treed. It was fun driving through pastures and watching the cows feed in the evening. Laura was really friendly and accommodating with my 2 kids while they helped do some small chores and pet/played with the horses.

The meadow site was breathtaking! Long marked path heading to site. The perfect spot for a quiet, remote vacation. Laura was very helpful and accommodating. Beautiful horses and long horned cows. My family will definitely be back! 👩🏽‍🌾

We had such a wonderful camping experience at Laura’s land! Laura was an amazing host—super welcoming, kind, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The property was beautiful, peaceful, and well taken care of, which made our stay so enjoyable. It was clear that she really cares about making sure her guests feel comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better host or location and would definitely recommend camping here to anyone looking for a great outdoor getaway.

For the two nights my girlfriend and I stayed there, was very beautiful and the host was super friendly and made us feel very welcomed onto her ranch especially the friendly dogs roaming around haha, We came prepared with supplies but if someone were to forget anything she has lots of things (BBQ, water, toys, chairs, etc) that you could use if need be. The farm animals were really cute and even have some cows and horses that come to say hi once and a while, next time we stay I hope it will be for longer so we can explore more of the area and the ranch and go hang out by the lake! Will come again!!!

Speaking with Laura on the phone, you could almost hear she speaks, than needing her own person was fun from the get go, funny, kind, and full of energy! She helped us decide where to put our horse trailer for the best view, and made feel like family. She offered to show us the best trails and ride with us if we would like. As well. Offered to make a lunch and her beautiful home the very next day, from that day on we were pretty much riding together every day. We enjoyed meeting her granddaughter and friends as well. We had such a good time we Invited to our home anytime!

Camp location is a ways off the beaten path. Hostess was very helpful and met us as we pulled in. Couldn't camp in meadow due to wet conditions. Light rain slicked the grass 2 track path, and no way was my 2wd going to ever tow my trailer back up a rather long, steep hill. Thus opted for "main" campsite, among some stored or derelict RVs.

What an incredible place! The host was fantastic, and despite the rain during my camping trip, I still had a great time. I can't wait to go back and fully enjoy all that this beautiful spot has to offer! One thing to note: the tent site is perched on a hill with an adventurous route, so get ready for some fun off-roading! I highly recommend this camping experience!

I love camping on Laura‘s land. We were set up in the corner next to the forest which was beautiful! Everyone was so friendly and I really liked the fact that I could take my dog and walk up on the property as far as I want it off leash and the views for spectacular will definitely be going back! Oh, and yes, the horseshoe tournament was a blast. Thanks again, Laura.😊

Great property and hosts

Hosts are great. This site is nice and secluded. Nobody else too close by, and the game changer for me was dogs being off leash to entertain themselves. No swimming that i could find. The lake close by isn't looking very swimming friendly when I was there, but it's a drive to it and we didn't really care to swim. If you have a dirt bike or anything to ride, and want to use an outhouse instead forest, bring it along to rip over to the entrance of the property to use those. It's a pretty steady hill back up there so pedal bikes aren't getting you there very quickly, or ask about sites closer to the entrance. It's a great spot. Will forbsure go back.

The Fairy Forest with my Dog

Wow! What a beautiful property to enjoy! I went from a large provincial campground to the back corner of Rough Diamond Ranch. On arrival I was greeted by the ranch dogs, the owner of the property (Laura) and a handful of folks from all corners of the world. Everyone was very welcoming and they asked if I wanted to hang out for a drink. I was so tired from my last two days of travel, so I decided to set up my camp in the ‘Fairy Forest’. The evening was beautiful and we sat in the meadow to enjoy the scenery, read a book, and toss the stick for the dog. It was a quiet night, other than the guardian dog barking at the coyotes in the distance, but I was ok with him doing his job. It’s different than a noisy dog barking in the back yard because it’s bored and neglected😁. In the morning, I had breakfast, packed up and joined everyone for a few minutes up at the chicken coop. Again, it was nice to chat with everyone but I had to get on the road. I will be back for sure! Now that I know where it is and what it offers me, I will visit again very soon. Thanks Laura (and the gang) for a great experience!

We really loved to tent in Laura’s land. The views and landscape were incredible. She is the nicest person we’ve ever met. She gave us great directions. We had a lot of fun there and get in touch with nature. We had the opportunity to met Laura’s horses and connect with them before, during and after the horse riding through their amazing land. Laura really care about their guests and make them feel home. We will definitely come back to this lovely and special place.
