Rancho Relaxo Resort is one of Alberta's first eco-tourism destination resorts and will feature renewable energy systems, organic food production, water harvest, food storage, off-grid log cabins, and a plethora of other ideas that help families move towards self-sufficiency, food security, and healthy communities. This beautiful five-acre permaculture demonstration farm has the potential to host events, workshops, and courses, while offering affordable, comfortable, all-inclusive accommodations. The resort creates a friendly, comfortable atmosphere that enhances social interaction, connections with the natural world, and confidence in themselves as an informed consumer. Jeff & Juli's knowledge of the Alberta geography, events, inhabitants, and recreational opportunities will be invaluable to travellers that would prefer to have a home base, a host family, and a personal guide to help them make the most of their time in this beautiful land. Our guided off-site ventures will allow domestic and international explorers to experience all the diverse culture and activities Alberta has to offer, including First Nations ceremonies, access to the Parks, world-class museums and more. Our working permaculture farm offers many opportunities for 'hands-on' learning, ranging from egg-collection to soil building. We encourage guests to get involved, share ideas, and get excited about new skills, all while enjoying the beautiful mountain views, forest trails, and organic gardens. Delicious, wholesome meals will be supplied using only the highest quality ingredients available, will be cooked from scratch, and prepared fresh every day. Healthy food is the key to healthy people. To round out the day, who could resist a star-filled sky with guitars around the campfire? The perfect way to unplug!

Rancho Relaxo Resort is one of Alberta's first eco-tourism destination resorts that features renewable energy systems, organic food production, water harvest, food storage, off-grid log cabins, and a plethora of other ideas to help families move towards self-sufficiency, food security, and healthy communities. Jeff & Juli Gillies are passionate about exploring new sustainable ideas and sharing them with the world. Jeff's background in soil science and construction, combined with Juli’s marketing and family skills, make J2 a dynamic duo for building and showing off their Permaculture Demonstration Farm near Rocky Mountain House, AB. Their farm demonstrates a new way of living where health, happiness, and sustainability are the goals, and abundance is on the horizon. We love to play music, read, garden (indoor and out), cook, eat, enjoy nature in ALL ways and just about anything that involves building community through the local food movement. Outside, there are 3 decks to sit on, a walking trail, a rope swing, a playground structure, a huge sandbox, 2 fire pits, and a few hammocks in the trees. There are a few kids' bikes that can be used as well. Our family has 4 kids, which live here at different times. Sage (13yrs), and Renn (12yrs), live here full time. Harrison (21yrs) and Elliott (24yrs) will visit from time to time on weekends. The kids are very sociable, and will be willing to help, play, sing, wrestle, paint, draw, or drum on anything you choose! Check out our Youtube channel.....Rancho Relaxo Resort.

It is great experience Julia and other staff so kind and accommodating They will provide everything you need Great for family bonding and team building . No shower room which is stated in their promotion. The toilet is different from normal But is extremely clean
